so yesterday I was headed to the mall. The car in front of me stopped all of a sudden. My mom was behind me and hit me. great huh. well the bummper got bent and I could not open the rear door on the van. well my brother managed to open the door and pushed down on the bummper so I would not have problems closing the door.

Well the sensor got messed up on the door. it thinks the door is open even though the door is closed. I hear a ding ding as I drive.

I sure hope Kia can reset the sensor

How aggravating! I hope you can get it fixed!
Good luck on the swimsuit. I hate swimsuits.

Tammi - Our library has a whole section of "early reader" books that are color-coded by difficulty. DS liked to choose from those.

Apparently I am never going to lose any weight, so I guess I better just crank up my self esteem and get over it. I lost a whopping 2 pounds after nearly killing myself trying, and now they are back. So to celebrate I bought myself the most incredible chocolate covered raspberry gummy bears.:rolleyes1

AND, even more amazing, they have built a BRAND NEW Dunkin' Donuts right next to the mall! (Preston and Alpha, for Lindsay & Marci's reference.) So those 2 pounds would have been back pretty soon anyway. Now they are already back, and they can invite 10 or 20 friends over when the DD opens.:upsidedow

DH just called and said he has three more stores to go.:scared1: There was no gas in the truck, somebody took the dolly out of the truck, so he has had a completely sucky day all the way around. I bought him a Sony Alpha 100 book at Borders today, so hopefully he will enjoy it. I think he is off Saturday, then he is off next week on Friday. He was supposed to be off next Saturday but they have already asked him to work.

Thanks the not so fun part right now is shopping for mommy clothes with Virginia not liking her stroller. I see a lot more trips to the mall between now and Aug to get her to liking her stroller.

My order from Disney shopping should be here the 17th. So swimsuit, rashguard shirt and flip flops for Olivia's easter basket.

Oh & did I mention that Dana is radioactive!!!!:scared1:

He had to take a 2nd stress test at his Cadiologists. They injected him with Thallum & he ran on a treadmill to see the stress on his heart. After the guy put the IV in he tells Dana he cannot fly for a month (hello we are flying in 35 days!!!) because he can set off the detectors at the airport!!!! He also cannot be around small kids under 4 for a few days..OY!!!

you might want to get a letter from the Dr stating he had this test with the dye injected just in case he has problems when you guys leave. Just a thought.:)

hopefully all is okay

Oh, it's a gray, dismal day here! We are getting a rain storm here that's supposed to last until mid-afternoon. I hate these kinds of days, but I remind myself that it could be snow! Rain is better than snow. Anyway, I'm hunkered down in my house with some music and the DIS. Not too shabby, eh? I also watched Monster-in-Law early this morning. Cute movie!!!! I started watching Napolean Dynomite. Could someone explain to me why my husband thinks this movie is one of the greatest ever made???? I only watched about 45 minutes and couldn't take it any more.

I felt the same way about Napolean Dynomite the first time I tried to watch it. My teens and their friends think it is a terrific movie. It grew on me a little the second time (or I got all the way through it anyway). It definitely isn't on my list to ever watch again. :confused3

Last week when I was sick, I watched several movies. I watched the Traveling Pants movie which we have owned for quite a while but I have never watched. That, of course, led me to re-reading the entire series. I also watched 16 Candles, Pretty in Pink, and Remember the Titans. I hadn't sat and watched a movie in a long time.

Our library has a good selection of early reading books. They are all kinds (Disney princess, Frog and Toad, Berenstein Bears, etc.). If you have some time, you should call your library and ask the children's librarian for some suggestions. Make sure you ask for the children's librarian. They know all the latest titles, and can help you get age and reading level appropriate books.

I hadn't heard of the Fancy Nancy books. I will have to go look at them. My kids loved Henry and Mudge, Poppleton the Pig, Mr. Putter and Tabby, and Fluffy (the guinea pig) books at that reading level. We had an awesome children's librarian who retired recently. I think that the new one is going to be great, too.

All 3 of my kids love to read..they do it when I am not even watching!:lmao:
I am so glad they find pleasure in reading. I am putting some books in their baskets as well. So far I only have one of the Clique books for Katie & Diary of a Wimpy Kid for Daniel. Sophie has a book fair today so I am waiting to see what she brings home.

Miles (8) has book fair today, too. They went and previewed yesterday, and he came home with a list that totaled $63! I sent him back with a revised list that is still going to run me $25. Diary of a Wimpy Kid was one of the books on his list that made the cut.

Have your kids read any of the Hank Zipzer books? Miles loves those, though he can read through them very quickly now. They are written by Henry Winkler and Lin Oliver.

I had every intention of getting on here earlier and catching up but my "quiet" time was over before it began today.

Anyway, I thought I share some pics of Lucy. Didn't want you all to forget what she looked liked;) :rotfl: :goodvibes
This was a few days ago, she was in hysterics over nothing

And these are her 8 month pics from today (just 11 days late)

I will try to check back in later. Molly has soccer practice tonight- her first and she is very excited!! Emma also has Brownies tonight so it'll be late before I get back. Have a great afternoon/evening.

I'm going to have kids walking through the door any minute now, so I guess I'd better get going.

Have a great day, DDA!

Beth - Good to see you stopping by!

Robyn - She is TOO, TOO cute!:goodvibes

Princess is napping, and DS fell asleep on the couch. It's very quiet here.:rolleyes1

Ann Marie, hope Dana passed his stress test with flying colors. :wizard:

And I second Jennifer, get a note from the doctor to take with you. Even if you don't need it, it will give you peace of mind.

Robyn love the pictures.

Does anyone know where I can find a current list of Mr. potatohead parts. Need to make my shopping list

Thats funny, thats the first thing that crossed my mind was to get a note...I asked him to get one from his Dr when he called me.

:scared1: I hope everything is ok!

Yes, should be..He had a stress test last month & the one they gave him today was more intensive. He has a mitro valve prolaspe & some other small issues that his Dr. likes to keep on top of. I am very thankful that Dana is so good about going to the Dr. My mother never goes!

Nope, no Hank Zipzer but next time we are in the library we will check them out....I really have "Dave Pilkey" kind of kids...very silly!

Robyn,
You make the cutest babies!!!!!!!!!!:cloud9:

Thanks!!!!

well I found the place where you can buy the Mr. Potato head parts. I wonder how up to date the Laughing place is on their list.

Robyn-Lucy is a beautiful, happy baby....love the tongue:goodvibes

Sounds like Dana's dr. is on top of things....love a dr. who is like that.

Before I forget....April's menu for Angel Food Ministries is up. I got March's and the chicken strips add on. So far I have been pleased with the boxes...definitely worth the $31 for it.
