DDA Chapter 5

Good Morning!

Apparently some of our mail got lost in the "great" blizzard of '08!

We mailed out some bills late on Friday. Our cable bill apparently got lost in the storm. Either that, or Elizabeth's mail carrier got transferred to Ohio!;)

Hopefully that is the only thing that got "lost". Off to try to investigate what got mailed on Friday, and see if everything is lost, or just that one.

This is why I usually pay everything on-line that I can. There are just a few companies that I deal with that epay is not an option.

Thanks for all the well wishes, but I think we must have the sticky sickies because they stuck around. Both boys are home today. Nick says that his sore throat is worse and Hunter now has the sore throat along with a headache and stomach ache. When I called the school this morning they said that it is going around and to expect it to last 3 days and expect for everyone in the family to get it  :headache: If we are all going to get it I certainly hope that we get it over the weekend when we aren't scheduled to work. Chris has arranged to get out at 4 today so my parents won't need to take care of the kids and be exposed to it. Dad will come and get my brother's kids off the bus at 3 in hopes of shielding them too. Will this winter ever end?

I feel your pain! Good luck! The thing that bothers me is not knowing what else is missing. Bills you eventually find out about, but other stuff you just never know.:confused3

Deb - I hope your guys are better soon and that the rest of you don't catch it!

Marci - You wear me out! I hope you are able to get a good night's sleep soon!:wizard:

Tammi,
I meant to post this before, sorry about Nicholas not placing. In our school the only kids who win school-wide contests are the kids of the parents on the PTA & school board. Needless to say we do not get dissapointed around here! Its funny one of the moms has 7 kids & 5 of them are in the school. They all win EVERY contest & fair. Funny eh???

Thats why we are so pleased Katie has won some awards for her art that were county wide or even state wide contests..then the PTA can't judge those! Yes we have a very clique-y school.:sad2:

Wow!! I love seeing so many dates!!!! Cool beans for you!!!

You will love the family magic tour!!! So much fun!!!

I forgot to say I'll be praying for you Denise on Monday....I am biased but I think you are a shoe in for the internship.:goodvibes

Ditto! It sounds perfect for you, Denise, and I we'll be sending lots of prayers and :wizard: for a good interview.

Advice please...

For Alyssa's Fancy Nancy party, I'm going to order pizza for lunch since Nancy, Alyssa, and most kids are big pizza fans. Do you think this is okay to serve to the moms in attendance too, if I also accompany it with a couple salads?

I know as moms that we get tired of pizza, but I'm also trying to be budget-conscious. I thought about wraps or deli sandwiches, but since two other moms are pregnant, I don't want anyone turned off by turkey (I don't have a problem eating it, but I know some people really watch what they intake while pregnant).

Of course, some moms might just eat dessert (cupcakes, cookies, and make-your-own sundaes). :teeth:

What do you think?

I think that it's a great idea. The salads round it out to a little better meal. I'd go for it.

Amy,
They should be happy they are getting fed. Pizza & salad is fine.

I receive a newsletter from another Travel Agent I have used in the past & the dates were posted there :confused3

Here are the dates:

MNSSHP: September 5, 9, 12, 16, 19, 23, 26, 28, 30; October 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 13, 16, 19, 21, 23, 24, 26, 28, 30, 31

Don't hold me to them though :rotfl:

Anne Marie no mention of P&PP dates in August yet :sad2:

ETA: I see the dates have been posted elsewhere, makes me feel better now lol
I was hoping for the 12th instead of the 13th - now how to figure out to get our meals in there too...I think we'll do Artist Point that night. Anyone have a good time suggestion for that one? We can then do the Yachtsman Steakhouse on the 12th... and I think our breakfasts are going to be 1900 Park Fare and Crystal Palace...

Sounds yummy Chanon!
Apparently I didn't get to have any that was left over. Bob took it to work. Even though MY name was on the lunch... :confused3

:wave2: everyone.
Thought I should pop in so you didn't think I fell of the face of the earth. Hope all is well with everyone, plenty of good thoughts, and pixiedust: for all.
:wave2:

I haven't been sleeping well because of the darn audit, and so I was almost asleep last night (a little before 10) when Randy's nephew called asking where to register his truck. While I don't mind helping him, he could have gotten that info anywhere and much earlier in the evening. I guess it's good he did call, as one of Randy's brothers had left a message on his cell phone that the oldest brother is in a hospital in Houston because of heart valve problems. Needless to say, it took hours to get back to sleep, then I was tossing and turning.

I'm off to work on audit prep... I can't wait for tomorrow to be over. I may have a bottle of wine to myself tomorrow night!

Jake has soccer at 5:30 tonight and also baseball, so he'll go between both. Andrew has soccer at 6, and both baseball teams are practicing at 7, so he'll go between them. Since it rained earlier in the week, all teams are practicing tonight! :faint: And, we're supposed to get up to 80 degrees today, 90 tomorrow! :upsidedow

Marci:scared1:
that sunds like a crazy schedule, good luck to you

The boys are feeling better for now. We'll see how they do when the Motrin wears off. They both ate and are drinking :thumbsup2 They do seem to be a bit quieter than usual.

oh no poor boys, :wizard: that thy get well fast and it misses the rest of the family.

I googled swim suits last night after I read your idea. The problem is I wear a 34J cup bra. So its hard to figure out what size to even oder. I would need seperates as I am wearing a 10 to 12 in my pants/shorts now. The suits come in s, m, L etc. I searched for 3hrs last night and did not find any that were sold seperates

I finally tried out my foodsaver. I had bought hamburg patties earlier in the week and it doesn't look like we'll get to eat them soon so I "saved" them :lmao: It was pretty easy to use and seemed to work well. I packaged them in packs that are the right number of patties and easy for Chris to grab on nights that I'm working. I also started a pot roast in the crockpot with dry italian seasonings and a can of diet coke. We'll see how that turns out.

Do you have a local motherswear or motherhood store? I bet if you tried some on you may have enough room in them. I was a 38F after the boys and I was able to fit into a Large Nursing Suit and had plenty of room.

so yesterday I was headed to the mall. The car in front of me stopped all of a sudden. My mom was behind me and hit me. great huh. well the bummper got bent and I could not open the rear door on the van. well my brother managed to open the door and pushed down on the bummper so I would not have problems closing the door.

Well the sensor got messed up on the door. it thinks the door is open even though the door is closed. I hear a ding ding as I drive.

I sure hope Kia can reset the sensor

Sounds ok to me! I'd just be glad to get anything! Here, kids are dropped off and parents pick them up at the appointed time. Makes it easier on the hostess, not having to worry about feeding adults.
