DDA Chapter 5

I suppose I should head to bed. My kids spoiled me yesterday/this morning and slept from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. I don't think that will happen two days in a row!

Good night all! :)

Doh I did not tink about looking to see if i could find one of those. Motherhood maternity is the only place I have found nursing tops. I have not seen any swim suits in that area. I will need to go to the shop where I buy my nursing bras and see if they have any that would fit me.

Glynis - I am glad your Mom is coming to you this time. I think it will be wonderful for her AND you!

Denise - good luck on your interview. Sounds perfect for you. :goodvibes

Amy - I love the pictures of the kids... especially the one of Matthew hugging the Snowlump! :goodvibes Must say I miss the Cookie Monster slippers though!

I'm beginning to see it. Nicholas had his first soccer practice of the season last night. In the morning he asked me if Bob was coming to his practice. I asked him if he wanted him to and he said yes. So I told bob and of course he came. Not one word about if his dad was going to be there. Which he wasn't. Bob spent the weekend helping us with the science board and he was with us tonight when we went over to the school.

I'm heading to bed. Thanks everyone for your encouragement. Have a great night!

I love that man...

Amy - If I were a mom attending Alyssa's party I would be happy with pizza.

Deb - hope the boys are okay this morning.

Good morning...

Deb- :wizard: that the boys awaken feeling well.

Tammi- Sorry Nicholas didn't place in the fair. How wonderful to have Nicholas ask for Bob. :goodvibes And as for the food at Biergarten, I had those same issues but it is so yummy.

Theresa- It's so good to see you posting :goodvibes

Heidi- You too! :goodvibes:

Denise- :wizard: for your interview!

Jennifer- Have fun in Colorado!! What fun.

Karen- Love the pics, and ::yes:: you and Desi do look like sisters.

Deb- How great that you all get to cruise together! I feel the same way- the drama here is just too much sometimes. I am glad the insurance took care of most of that bill!

Amy- Love, love, love the pics!! I think pizza would be fine. Those cupcakes are adorable and the look easy- a big plus in my book.

Vicki- I enjoyed seeing your photopass pictures. You got some wonderful shots. Can't wait to hear more about your trip.

Jennifer- How is work these days? And more importantly how are you feeling? Are we ever going to see your belly?!?

Chanon- That recipe you posted sounded delicious. Yesterday I made up a big pot of turkey pot pie filling and left it on the stove over night :sad2: I should be banned from the kitchen.

Elizabeth- :yay: for the next few Fridays off! :wizard: for DH.

Glynis- How great that your mom is coming to you this time. I am sure it will do her worlds of good. :goodvibes

Janet-'s for missing your mom.

Becky- I sure hope the police can solve that murder. I am sure it is unsettling.

Anne Marie- I was talking to my girlfriend the other day and she along with her entire family will be on the same cruise as you I think. She didn't know the ship name but her dates are the same. She is not much on details!

Elin- I saw a billboard for Hearts on Fire the other night and I immediately thought of you and Kathrin.

Lindsay- I agree with everyone else, send her the links and answers to a few questions.

Marci- You and the boys' schedule just makes me :faint: I don't know how you do it.

For anyone I left out it wasn't intentional.'s and :wizard:

good morning all!!!
Im headed to work, i may check in tonight before i leave, but not sure..

Tammi-i land monday at midnight and im going to work tuesday (ugh!)

Good morning!

Robyn,

Tammi,
You have a nice guy there!!! You deserve it!!!

Amy,
Nice pictures!!! Sophie has the same coat as Alyssa.
You hate your thighs??? Girl, what are you smokin? You look great!!

Elin- I saw a billboard for Hearts on Fire the other night and I immediately thought of you and Kathrin.

:goodvibes That is so sweet, Robyn. She is loving it already. She wrote the copy for a $200,000 necklace  last week and is working on their newest Mother's Day campaign right now. I would think that very soon the words you read on their billboards will be hers! ;)

Tammi sorry to hear Nicholas did not place at the science fair.

Deb hope the boys are feeling better this morning :wizard:

Jennifer good luck with the swim suit shopping!

:wizard: & to all I missed!

Amy the cupcakes look cute & I think pizza for the parents is fine :thumbsup2

Love the pictures Amy! Matty is growing so fast & yep I noticed he was wearing boots this time :rotfl:

Tell Alyssa she is a great photographer :thumbsup2

Love the pics, Amy! :)

Thanks. They are having the awards ceremony Friday morning. The school was to call this afternoon if your child was receiving an award. It's one of those things that they call the parents so they can be at the ceremony but the child doesn't know. No phone call here :guilty: so I guess he didn't place. He did a good job, and everyone gets a ribbon or a certificate or something. We went over to the school this evening to look at all the displays. Of course I am biased though. ;)

DS didn't place in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grade. The thing that made me angry was the projects that placed weren't experiments so technically they didn't follow the rules! One girl made a model of the human eye. Excuse me? Last time I checked, the way an eye works was well documented. She wasn't testing anything! OK, enough ranting. Just be aware that the process is not fair in the lower grades.

Advice please...

For Alyssa's Fancy Nancy party, I'm going to order pizza for lunch since Nancy, Alyssa, and most kids are big pizza fans. Do you think this is okay to serve to the moms in attendance too, if I also accompany it with a couple salads?

I know as moms that we get tired of pizza, but I'm also trying to be budget-conscious. I thought about wraps or deli sandwiches, but since two other moms are pregnant, I don't want anyone turned off by turkey (I don't have a problem eating it, but I know some people really watch what they intake while pregnant).

Of course, some moms might just eat dessert (cupcakes, cookies, and make-your-own sundaes). :teeth:

What do you think?

They should eat the pizza and be glad you offered it. ;)

Nick went to bed complaining of a sore throat. Hunter was in bed about an hour when he began complaining of a bad headache and a stomach ache. I really hope that they are not coming down with the flu. We don't need that.

I hope they are feeling better today, Deb!

Alyssa's teacher had never heard of Fancy Nancy (apparently Alyssa's mentioned her party a few times to her :rotfl: ). Granted the boys probably won't be big fans, but I'm tempted to buy her the books for her library! :)

DS and I saw the new book yesterday. I already bought Princess's Easter present, but I might ask Momboss if she wants me to pick up the book.

Anne Marie - Tell Sophie to watch the mailbox! :)

Not much on my agenda today. Princess has gymnastics, then we're open the rest of the day!

DH is going to have a wild day, so I think I better plan on keeping DS with me the whole time. Yesterday he was training on another convenience store route, and he was scheduled to do it again today. Late yesterday afternoon his supervisor said she needed to move him to another route by himself because HR was coming and somebody was being suspended.:scared: The route he has to run is weird - it has grocery AND small stores, a total of 8. Which is bizarre and will probably take him a LONG time because he has only had 2 days of training on the small stores. He didn't really know the details of the suspension, but whoever it is must have done something BAD because in all DH's time there (3 years) this is the first time that has happened.

Amy -- love the pictures! I don't think Matthew will have problems from wearing pink boots. Did I tell you that pink was Andrew's favorite color until around 5 or so? I think pizza for the party is great! I don't let myself eat it much, so it would be a real treat. And I don't think the Mom's would expect you to do something different for them. Have fun!

Karen -- love your pics of the rodeo. I hope your attendant showed up last night.

Deb -- I hope your kids are better this morning!

Denise -- I know you'd do a good job. PD and prayers said for the interview!

I haven't been sleeping well because of the darn audit, and so I was almost asleep last night (a little before 10) when Randy's nephew called asking where to register his truck. While I don't mind helping him, he could have gotten that info anywhere and much earlier in the evening. I guess it's good he did call, as one of Randy's brothers had left a message on his cell phone that the oldest brother is in a hospital in Houston because of heart valve problems. Needless to say, it took hours to get back to sleep, then I was tossing and turning.

I'm off to work on audit prep... I can't wait for tomorrow to be over. I may have a bottle of wine to myself tomorrow night!

Jake has soccer at 5:30 tonight and also baseball, so he'll go between both. Andrew has soccer at 6, and both baseball teams are practicing at 7, so he'll go between them. Since it rained earlier in the week, all teams are practicing tonight! :faint: And, we're supposed to get up to 80 degrees today, 90 tomorrow! :upsidedow
