Here it is without the Segway riders.

I love this. Very nice. It is a super design for World Showcase touring :thumbsup2

Well I got my frames done & put up in the playroom. Its 2 pictures of Walt Disney. One he is very young & has all stuffed Mickeys all around him. The other is where he is older & he is drawing Mickey Mouse.

The pin frame did not work out so well. I need some creative input from you guys. The pins are so thick (with the post & the mickey closure thingy) that i cannot find a frame large enough in depth to put them in. I was thinking about corkboard but I want them behind glass since the kids are in that room all the time & I don't want any picked off & lost. Any ideas???

I found a frame at Kohl's that had thick layers of matte. I removed the matte and used a piece of fleece to put the pins through. There was enough room for the entire pin to be between the glass and frame back and the fleece gave it a finished look.

Julie does have preeclampsia, so please continue to keep them in your prayers.

I'm glad Kevin works with her DH...I sent some spaghetti and meatballs to work, so at least they have one night where they don't have to worry about dinner.

If anyone comes across any more Babies R Us coupons in the near future, could you let me know, please? Julie's shower is in a couple weeks. Thanks!

Preeclampsia sucks. I had it twice. Hopefully they can manage the blood pressure and get her closer to her due date.

That looks fantastic!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 So the black mickey head is on the outside/back of the frame? The frame I got today has a hard (almost particle board) feel to it so the pins wouldn't be able to go through that. So I need frames with cardboard backs then.

You could use a small drill bit and drill holes through the back to put the posts through.

yes i will be going back in july to get a yellow lab. when i talked to the trainer monday she said that at the moment they only have goldens or yellow labs for july class. i told her i wanted a yellow anyway. the way KSDS names the dogs is the pick a theme for the litter and they name the dogs on the theme of the litter. the dog will be between the age of 2 and 3. Shocker was 2 1/2 when i got her. Here is the website of the litter names. http://pups4ksds.org/litter.htm

I have a feeling my dog is daytona. vroom vroom

That is great news. I'm sure you will have many new and exciting adventures.

Shocker will always have a special place in my heart because she was my first service dog, we had many adventures, and she was our first family dog. she left a huge paw print on my heart.

:goodvibes

So this week I have no night events, well at least that I know of.   It is a good thing though because I have basically spent every night trying to prep for my online test from noon to 3pm on Saturday. I feel like I still know nothing.

It is just three essay questions, but I have a weird feeling something wacky is going to happen like losing electricity or my internet will be out or some other thing that will make it difficult to complete. I am not going to at least two things because I would need to leave during that time or be there during that time. Why we could not have 3 hours within a 24 hour time period to complete the test I know not.:confused3 :confused3

I can only try my best.:teacher:

If you could keep my Grandma in your prayers that would be greatly appreciated. For several years her heart has only functioned at 10%, she has a pacemaker. She has a limited amount of liquid she can consume each day, if she gains a certain amount of weight she must call the Dr immediately, because she has a high risk of fluid collecting around her heart and water retention, which is highly dangerous to her. Well something is wacky, she had to do a phone test and things seem off. She cannot go into the Dr. till the end of next week. She knows if certain things happen she or DH needs to call the ambulance and get her to the emergency room. So I am hoping she will be fine until the Dr. appointment as I know she is stubborn and may not do as she is directed if need be.

Also my brother broke a tooth, he is in New Jersey all week for training for his job. He can not get a dental appointment at his dentist until April. Good thing it isn't bothering him.

Sorry for all the babbling.

Night all

Prayers and :wizard: for your grandma. I hope that everything stays okay until she can get into the doctor. Also for your test on Sat. I hope that your brother's tooth holds off for him until he can get an appt.

I forgot to ask you all to please one of Cassidy's oldest and dearest friends in your thoughts and prayers. There has been a LOT of stuff going on in this family for the 6 years we've known them and Carla knows that we are her safe house. She was hospitalized last week for cutting herself. There is now a social worker/dept. of social services (who came to school) involved and I hope and pray if nothing else that Carla gets the help she so desperately is calling out for.

Many prayers for Carla. My best friend went through the same thing in college and luckily got the help that she needed. I hope that Carla finds the same and that things work out in her family as well. :grouphug: for Cassidy as I'm sure this isn't easy for her either.

There has been lots of talk about Bare Minerals make up on the boutique thread. It sounds amazing, but I am wondering if any of you have reviews or use it. I trust all of you with things like this.

Nope. I rarely use makeup at all! I just hate the way it feels on my face! Sorry I can't help you with this one!

That is supposed to be the great thing about Bare Minerals. It is supposed to feel like you aren't wearing make up at all. It is also supposed to do a great job at covering flaws like blemishs, age spots and dark circles. It sounds like a miracle :lmao:

I love Bare Minerals! I use it every single day. I wouldn't say it is a miracle, but it does even out the complexion and you cannot tell you are wearing makeup. I love the way it looks. For me it never looks like I am wearing makeup but just that I look better. I have sensitive skin and it does not bother me at all. I do have a friend who tried it but it irritated her skin. I think, as with any product, you need to try it to see if it is right for you.

QVC sells it under the name of Bare Escentuals. Other places like Ulta and some department stores also carry the line. They make eye makeup as well as lipstick, etc. too.

The girls will pick me up here about 9:00. Bob and I are taking them out for breakfast and then we are off.

I checked the weather forecast this morning first thing and I am concerned. Hartford, CT is under a heavy snow warning. 8 inches or so!

This is where we are planning to stop tonight before continuing into Boston tomorrow morning.

For those of you who live in the New England area... do the road crews stay on top of storms like this on Interstate highways? They don't/can't around here, so you see my concern.

I do remember you posting this before & talking about it with you at the pin shop on Main street. I think you did a fabulous job on it! Thanks for the info. I am going to AC Moore to see if i can get a good frame there & maybe some disney material to put inside (if it doesn't look too busy).

Elin,
Good luck today. FWIW it's not snowing in NY but expected to do so overnight.

Elizabeth,
Nice pictures.

I have never used bare minerals..sounds like its great though. I am a clinique fan. I have used it for 20 or more years & love their products.

:grouphug: :grouphug: to everyone. Hope you all have a great Friday!

I think it depends on what type of skin you have. I have REALLY oily skin. It is shiny all the time, no matter what I put on it. We have a Bare Minerals (or whatever the name is) store in the mall so I decided to give it a try. It is the original one that they sell on QVC, and I had the girl in the shop apply it for me. After a few hours my skin was just as shiny and greasy as always, so I saw no reason to purchase an entire new line of products to end up with the same results I get from my current products. There are a couple of stores that carry it, and I have seen at least one kiosk selling it at the mall (not the mall where the store is). I would see if you can find it somewhere to try it before you purchase it.

Elin--be careful out there!

Safe travels, Elin!! :wizard:

Marci, I just realized I never got back to you about the Cats tickets. I will definitely do that today! I was telling DH I want to take DS to see it and he thinks it is a great idea. :)

I am meeting some of the other nannies for breakfast today, then I don't have any plans.

Anything that is not Bare Minerals that I use is Clinique. I have used that line for years too and their skincare products almost can't be beat! :thumbsup2

DS had kind of a rough day. He got a "40" on that math homework.:scared: Then he got in trouble for talking in the hall so he has to stay inside for "recess" every day next week. They don't have recess - they are allowed to run around outside after they finish eating lunch. But he eats so slow I am worried that the teacher will accuse him of going out to play. I think that next week will not be good.:sad2: He says he will just sit in the classroom to eat, but I don't know if that will be an option. Maybe if he gets some extra help with math while he sits there it will turn out to be a good thing.

Tomorrow he is on a field trip to UNT all day so the teacher told them not to bring backpacks or lunches or anything. They are having lunch at the college. I hope he has fun.

Sorry he had a rough day. I hope today is fun -- should be nice weather! The pics your DH took were great -- looks like you guys had fun at the zoo. Call me on my cell about the tickets -- we can do it real-time on-line to get you the best tics.

Deb -- I've been wondering the same thing. The resort thread I visit has been talking about it a lot. I have sensitive skin and am very oily, so I like Elizabeth's idea of going to have it applied to test it. Do you have an ulta near you?

Amy -- still sending prayers for Julie. :wizard:

Sending PD for Vicki's trip, though I know she's already off the boards.

Thanks for the PD for Andrew. We are supposed to have better weather for the tournament this weekend -- I'm so thankful and hope that actually happens. They had their last team practice yesterday and Andrew has his lessons tonight.

I hope y'all have a great day today! :)

Marci - Thanks! I will call you later! :)
The Bare Minerals store is in NorthPark right outside of Nordstrom if you want to check out their products. There was a shop at the Galleria that had it, too, but I don't think it is there anymore.
Lots of :wizard: for the boys to have great games/practices this weekend!
