Debbie- Sending pixiedust: for your SIL. He'll be in my prayers today. Enjoy Brandon and I don't think that I mentioned it before but I love your siggy!

Jo- It is so great to see you!! Stop by more often, good luck with the other site! You deserve some one who will take good care of you.:goodvibes

Steffy- :wave2:

Chanon- I'll check that out, I have a feeling we'll be doing 2 over nights in OH. One on the way out and one on the way back.

Marci- :faint:

I am short one brother today- he was throwing up all day yesterday and had a fever this morning. His dad is keeping him home so I " don't have to deal with him sick" Yeah, thanks!

I am going to try to finish up day 3 a little later. I'm almost done. Eric is contemplating coming home- says he doesn't feel good. That'll for sure throw a wrench in my day :upsidedow

I'll check back in later!

Debbie - sending lots of :wizard: for you SIL. Have fun with Brandon.

Good Morning DDA,

Karen - :grouphug: I'm so sorry about Shocker

Hi Jo, drop in more often!

Today is surgery day, he goes in at 8:00 am to have the stint removed and a new one put in, then they transfer him to another operating room to have the actual surgery done. If all goes well he will be home tomorrow, we won't be going to the hospital, as it is in New Orleans and we have Brandon. We felt it would be better all the way around if we kept him here and took him to school instead of keeping him in the hospital waiting room all day. He was pretty upset with his mom and dad for leaving him and not taking him with them, but it didn't take him long to snap out of it after they left. I had race cars going up and down the hall and dinosaurs in the bathtub last night, :rotfl: , it's been a long time since I had to get a little one off to school.

:grouphug: I hope the surgery goes well today :grouphug:

Colby and I don't have to run out today until I need to leave for work :cool1: Logan is now at school full time :cool1: I want to get some housework done and some designing too. It will be strange being able to spend quality time with Colby on a regular basis. Even stranger will be having time to run errands by myself while Colby is at school 3 days each week :cool1:

You better be doing 2 overnights in OHIO! I know of at least one little girl who would be upset if she didn't see her friends!:goodvibes

The school called me this morning. Apparently they changed their lunch menu and didn't let anyone know what was going on. (Well, at least us!;) )

Leighanna was in the office crying:sad: . She is a picky eater and doesn't like everything that is offered. So I had to drive back into school, and drop off her lunch.

I have to go back to the school again this afternoon to drop off cupcakes for her birthday. She was to bring them last Friday, but school was cancelled so I have to do it today.

I don't think I will get much accomplished today!

Poor Leighanna
Can't say as I blame her, school lunches left something to be desired. :crazy2: The only time I didn't bag it was the days they had pizza.

Our school offers a choice of 2 different entrees. Then everyday they also have PBJ Uncrustables if a child doesn't like either entrees. It's a good thing they have them too because they often switch up the menus.

Minus one kid, plus one DH - sounds about like you are even for the day! Do you have a policy where they can't bring a sick child? The preschool says no fever, vomiting, or diarrhea for 24 hours or they can't come to school. And if they send a child home sick one day the child can't come back the next day. If that kid had a fever this morning then tomorrow morning won't be 24 hours fever free, now will it? You definitely need a new line of work.::yes::

Poor Leighanna
Can't say as I blame her, school lunches left something to be desired. :crazy2: The only time I didn't bag it was the days they had pizza.

I went to elementary in 5 different districts because we moved all the time. Some of the school lunches were quite nice, others were gross. Most of the time I brought my lunch.

Tammi - If DS could buy an Uncrustable every day I think he would! I do buy them sometimes to keep on hand for mornings when I am running late - it is easier to toss one in his lunchbox than to make a sandwich. But he has a tendency to eat them after school or on weekends so they are all gone when I want to put one in his lunch!:rotfl:

Marci - Wow! DS has huge sleep requirements, on his meds or off. He is in bed by 9 PM at the latest (we prefer 8:30) and he gets up at 6:20 AM. On weekends he sometimes stays up a little later but he sleeps later, and sometimes on the weekend he will nap! I came home at 10:30 Saturday night and he was out cold on the sofa. There is no way he could manage extracurricular stuff multiple nights during the week and on weekends! So far he is doing OK staying for band 2 afternoons, but he has been incredibly lucky that the homework has been light those days.

I ran some errands this morning, called the insurance office to tell them the bill is wrong, finally remembered to buy a poster board for DS's social studies project. Tomorrow I need to wash Princess's laundry after swimming lessons since I am off Wed-Fri this week.:thumbsup2

Day Three January 20
Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Up and at ‘em early this morning. Eric headed over for coffee and since “breakfast” was late he needed something to tide him over. He returned with 2 breakfast platters that we all shared. Eric was very worried that it wouldn’t be enough food but we were never hungry during this trip. I think his life revolves around his next meal- especially since he quit smoking. But by the end of the trip we were tired of eating!

After breakfast we left and made our way to the park. It was a brilliant sunny day but there was a 30 mph wind that was whipping around all day. We actually made it into the park before the opening ceremony, which was a lot of fun. We positioned ourselves so we could head for Star Tours. Eric took the girls on the ride while I got to browse around the gift shop. Sounds fun, huh? It was too cold to stay outside so I forced myself to look at all that boring stuff.

After Star Tours we headed over to Muppet 3D and saw that. I don’t remember ever seeing this even though Eric said we did- way back in ’97. Very cute, I love Statler and Waldorf. They remind me of my grandfather and his brother. As we left the girls wanted a picture by the fountain.
P1010502.jpg

After this we headed back to the Hat for the HSM Pep Rally. Emma and Molly liked this but I have to say that the adults were poorly behaved. We were there right as everyone started lining up and people just have no manners. The girls had to squeeze around the adults who positioned themselves up front and then would not sit down. There were many kids (and lots of parents) who were upset that they could not see.

After this the Characters were out and about so we hopped in Mickey and Pluto’s line. This little guy was in front of us and was waiting very patiently for his turn.
P1010503.jpg

Pluto and Mickey spent a lot of time with us. Mickey loved the autograph pages and the red Sharpie that matched his pants. My girlfriend and her husband said that I am a nut for going through all that trouble. They said that I would drive them crazy if we were to have traveled together. Something we’ve thought about, but I honestly think I’d be insane for even contemplating it. Meeting up would be fun but traveling with them would push me over the edge. Eric just rolls his eyes but does what he is told; well for the most part anyway! We definitely got a lot more interaction when we had the personalized pages. So would I go through all the trouble for our next trip- you bet! These are some of my favorite pictures from the trip.

image1065.jpg

This is Molly’s most favorite memory- being tickled by Pluto.

image1080.jpg

We decided to check in for our breakfast, it was 11am and our ADR was for 11:20am. I got to the podium and was told they could seat us right then. Breakfast here was good but because they were getting ready to switch over to lunch I felt that we were kind of rushed. In reality we really weren’t but the waitress seemed jumpy which unsettled me. She was also the only server who seemed perplexed by the new dining plan. Now we never used it before this trip and I had read about all the horror stories but honestly we never had a problem. They brought us the bill, we gave them our room card and cash or our gift card for the tip and they returned with the receipts. This waitress just made a huge deal out of all the changes. She was very nice and gave us wonderful service but the whole experience was just crazy. As for the characters Jojo and Goliath were absolutely wonderful. Jojo would not leave us alone. And Goliath kept sneaking up on the girls. I remember feeling like Leo wasn’t all that great in his interaction, but my pictures seem not to reflect that. I know that he was sort of perplexed when we asked for his autograph. I only wished the pictures turned out better. I think the setting was wrong and I never realized it.

This is one of my favorite moments of the trip. Jojo was dancing and Lucy was copying her. It was very cute!
P1010535.jpg

I don’t see us doing this again as Emma is really too old for the characters and Molly will be by the time we get back. But the food was really yummy and filled us up as we didn’t eat again until later that night! Breakfast is definitely the meal where I know the girls will eat well.

What do you guys think of this July 4th design?

PatrioticMickeySwirl.jpg

It will go on a white t-shirt. This is the design that I'm thinking of using for the 11 of us for the FW parade and our Fireworks cruise. I considered adding a navy background as this will be hard to cut out, I'm undecided at this point.

Day Three continued...
From there we did the Great Movie Ride. This was a new one for all of us and we really liked it. The girls loved the “movie”. We decided to do Voyage of the Little Mermaid now. Again this was a first for all of us. Very nice and the girls again loved it.
P1010546.jpg

When we came out we saw Leo and Annie out for greets. Since we already Leo’s autograph we had to get Annie’s.
image1091.jpg

As we finished up with them Handy Manny came out so we hopped into his line. He was thrilled with his autograph page.
image1104.jpg

June and Quincy were now out so back over to them.
image1128.jpg

It was about 2pm now so we decided to stake out a spot for the parade. I had read that a great spot was by the bronze head statues. It was a great spot but shady and on a day when it was breezy it was downright frigid sitting there. Molly had to have popcorn for the parade so Eric was sent on another mission. After he got back with the popcorn he and Emma went to ride Star Tours again. They got back just in time for the parade. We all really enjoyed this parade. And again having Lucy got us a lot of interaction from the characters as they walked by. Emma and Molly thought that was the best. This picture of Sulley is my favorite from the parade.
P1010568.jpg

When the Toy Story characters came down and the Green Army Men did their little routine a piece of the middle Men’s weapon broke off. Eric saw it break off and ran out after the parade was over to get it. He is thrilled with his “souvenir”.
P1010555.jpg

After the parade we ventured down the Streets of Americas. We kind of just wandered around, browsed the shops and then got in line to meet Lightning McQueen and Mater. Molly loves Lightning!
P1010595.jpg

Once we were done we all agreed that it was time to head back to the room. It was getting chilly again and we wanted to get warm. As we were walking to the front of the park we had a ton of characters pass by us- Aladdin, Captain Hook, Mushu and Cruella. The girls loved seeing them just walking through the crowds. When Aladdin came through it was just like the scene in the movie when he was running through the streets of Agrabah. Everyone was calling out his name and chasing after him.
P1010596.jpg

P1010599.jpg

Before leaving we stopped and had our pictures taken in front of the Hat.
image1131.jpg

image1139a.jpg

There was a lot that we didn’t get to- TOT, RNR and Beauty and the Beast, LMA, Indiana Jones and the Back lot tour. Emma expressed absolutely no interest in TOT or RNR. Hopefully next time she will- Eric and I really want to go on. And sadly, no Fantasmic for us since we left early. Again it’s just more reasons why we need to plan another trip.

We got back to our room and found these waiting for us.
P1010600.jpg

P1010601.jpg

We decided that for dinner we trek over to Epcot and get counter service somewhere in the World Showcase. I tried to make sure everyone was dressed pretty warmly but it wasn’t enough. It was so cold. Poor Lucy spent a lot of time in her pack and play when we were in the room.
P1010602.jpg

Once we were in Epcot we headed straight for the WS. We stopped first in England and got an order of fish and chips from Yorkshire County Fish Shop. Emma wouldn’t touch the fish but Molly couldn’t get enough of it! She loved it. We also meandered about the shops there. In the toy shop we stumbled across a long line of people waiting for Pooh. But up on the platform was Alice. No one was in her line so the girls had a nice long chat with her. They were telling her about their cousins who live in England.
P1010607.jpg

P1010609.jpg

From there we just wandered through France and Morocco. We decided on Yakitori House for dinner. It was extremely crowded in there and we almost gave up on getting a spot to sit down and eat. Just as we are about to leave a group got up and we swooped in. Eric got dinner as I got the girls settled.
P1010611.jpg

P1010612a.jpg

We got 2 Tonosama combos and split them between the 4 of us.
P1010616.jpg

Shh, don’t the DDP plan police that we used most of our CS credits as adult credits and just spilt the meals. We decided that it was too cold to stay out any longer so we left for the night. We stopped on the way out and took a few photos.
image1146.jpg

image1150.jpg

We made it back to the room and were soooooooo cold that Eric went for coffee and hot chocolate. I got the girls ready for bed and got our things ready for our first full day at Epcot. Emma was very excited that she could finally ride her most favorite ride- Test Track!

Robyn,
Your pictures from Hollywood Studios are the absolute most precious yet!! What great memories!!!! Lucy's little cheeks look red outside, I can see you guys were cold. Beautiful shots!!!

Love it!!!!!!!

If you used light transfer paper you could do it on a white shirt & you would be cutting less.

My sports break is over! Andrew had baseball Saturday, soccer today, soccer tomorrow, baseball on Tuesday, Kaleo on Wednesday, soccer on Thursday, baseball lessons on Friday and a baseball tournament on Saturday and Sunday, with at least four games over the weekend.

Well, it was good while it lasted! Jake and Andrew's rec baseball teams will probably start practicing in another couple of weeks, and Jake's soccer will probably start in a week or so. I hope we have good weather so I can walk around the park. My air card will definitely be used a lot this spring! :upsidedow

:faint: Yikes! Quite the week. I hope it isn't too bad for you all.

Enjoy that quiet alone time!

You must have missed one of my replies from this weekend. I think that we are looking at the week of July 13th-20th. So you'll have to see if that fits in your schedule and we'll work something out.

The school called me this morning. Apparently they changed their lunch menu and didn't let anyone know what was going on. (Well, at least us!;) )

::yes:: 24 hours no fever, vomiting rule here. But I swear they just like to say that stuff to get on my nerves. I refuse to take care of someone else's sick kid. Mine are enough!

Enjoy your long weekend.

I like it a lot but agree it needs some kind of background so you can define it easily.

Robyn,
Your pictures from Hollywood Studios are the absolute most precious yet!! What great memories!!!! Lucy's little cheeks look red outside, I can see you guys were cold. Beautiful shots!!!

Thanks! Her cheeks always look like that but it was cold. My most stupid move was to wear flip flops that day. Yikes!

I think it had something to do with the new outfit I bought :teeth:

Glad that you had a good trip! It must have been nice to get away for a couple of days. Dinner sounds yummy, but 24oz! :faint: I'd have been too hungry for dessert.

Robyn I am loving your TR! Your pictures are wonderful :goodvibes

Deb I really like your 4th of July design :thumbsup2

Hi Anne Marie & Tia :wave2:

I don't think I would enjoy having to evaluate myself. I hope your boss had nice things to say!

I always hated that part! We used to have to do it too giving ratings on various categories, explaining why we thought we deserved that rating and things we could improve on. It was always several pages and one of the hardest parts of my job.
