DDA Chapter 4

Nicholas has his First Penance tomorrow in preparation for his First Communion in April. Then we are going out to lunch. He chose Olive Garden. After that, to see the Christian Youth Theater's production of The Wizard of Oz. Then we are picking up one of his friends on the way home for a sleepover. Whew. I'm exhausted just typing that. Sunday is empty so far.

whew --good thing sunday is free for ya..youre going to be exhausted!!!

They are running a few tests today. They did a blood test but that wont be back for 10 days. A test they are running now will show if and how much drugs will help and if it does they will start them while blood work comes back. the risk for this test is that her heart rate my fall real low but they will have meds right next to them to bump it back up. also we are going to have to watch her more closely and if she has to have surgery in the future we will have to weigh the options because now she will have trouble during surgeries so now i am praying this test goes well and it works so i can have her back.

all went well... we have a big honkin' white cargo van sitting in our driveway waiting for Sunday morning! :thumbsup2

Loving your TR!!!! I love Lucy's expression in this one!!!

So what does everyone have planned for the weekend?

Wellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll.....

This weekend is Youth Sunday at my work church so:

Tonight:

Cassidy and I have tickets to Bye Bye Birdie at LHS
then we have to get as much of their auction "stuff" ready as possible tonight

tommorrow:
out the door by 8 to pick up more auction items
they need to be here by 9 am for orchestra rehearsal
than they will put their auction items out and we will get done hopefully at 1 or so
then I have already told Jim it is my afternoon to be away from everybody so I will go to barnes & noble and Red Lobster all by my lonesome.
May try and bake some banana bread for Sunday morning

Sunday:
girls have to be in the building at 7:30 am for youth orchestra and the 2 Youth Sunday services....I may or may not be running sound for the services. If not we will come back at 10:00 or so to look at all the auction items.
The auction will be over at 1:00 it will take until 2 to get out of here but than I think I will nap and supper.

Somewhere in there I will have to move out of my comfort zone. On Monday I would ask that somebody ask me if I made it out of my box. Thanks!!!

I gotta stop trying for the movie passes (I want some of the bigger stuff;) ) because I won 2 passes to see Penelope on Wednesday.

I am tired looking at my schedule...suppose it makes up for the last couple of lack a daisical weekends. :lmao:

Love it so far Robyn!

Robyn, your TR is off to a great start! We never see villains out for photos!

okay off to Waco, be back sometime Mon. Not sure if I will check in over the weekend.

Have a good weekend, Jennifer!

Princess and I met some friends at the mall. The play area was PACKED!:scared: So the kids played for a little bit and then we shopped awhile.
Macy's has an extra 50% off on some of their clearance stuff. 2 Ralph Lauren shirts I had been watching for DS were marked down to $9 each but they were all way too big. I asked the lady to see if another store had them and she said NO! Excuse me? Is that not your JOB? So I left. But the more I thought about it the madder I got. So I went back, took the shirts to the desk, and told her "I really need to know if they have these at the other mall." She said "You're not going to be happy until I check, are you? You waited too long. These shirts have been on clearance for months." I just smiled. And what do you know? The other mall DID have them! And I went to the other mall and BOUGHT them, thank you very much.
I knew they JUST marked those shirts down because I am in the mall ALL the time. And that woman really was quite rude. All she had to do was scan the UPC - it took less then 2 minutes. There weren't any other customers in the department. I should have reported her. I also got DS some Nike T-shirts on clearance at Nordstrom where the sales staff are NEVER rude. Now he just needs to try them all on so we can figure out what fits and what doesn't. I couldn't decide which size to buy so I bought 8/10 and 12/14 and will take back whatever ones fit worse.

DH had a talk with the big supervisor today. They got on the topic of the prizes. The guy told DH he could go choose from the prizes they had left over because he hasn't found anyone to trade with him. Of course there wasn't anything that great still available. He ended up with another dSLR camera. It is a Sony Alpha 100. It is an older model camera, and it was in a box with a sticker advising that it was either a display model or a customer return. Now you know why it was still in the prize pool. BUT it has a full factory warranty and it seems to be a step up from his Olympus so it is better (I think) than a tent. We read some reviews of the camera and it sounds good. It does have image stabilization, so maybe he will get some better fireworks shots next time.

Theresa - Now I need a nap. You wear me out!

I am babysitting tomorrow night for the family I know from the synagogue. Other than that I don't have weekend plans.

I do need to go back to the Galleria at some point. I bought a Crocs messenger bag at Christmas. I noticed it has a strange odor - like mildew or something. I unzipped all the pockets and have had it hanging in my bathroom for several weeks hoping to air it out, but no luck. I sprayed it with Febreze but the fabric is nylon or something so it doesn't really penetrate. I think it might just be the way the fabric smells, but it is gross. I stopped at the Crocs kiosk and smelled the bags - they all smell that way.:scared: The backpacks don't smell. The lady said I can exchange the bag for another style, which is wonderful because I figured I was going to be stuck with a stinky bag.

Wow!! Nasty!!!

Robyn,
Look forward to reading more!!!

I don't think the ENT had a clue. Said it could be xx. John, the tests were run and it's not. See the paperwork? ENT, oh, yeah. Uh... maybe it's a yeast infection on your tongue. Go get this filled. See me in 2 weeks. John, yeah, right...

Neuro is next Thursday. Maybe they'll have a clue? Can you tell I'm frustrated?

Sounds like everyone has a very busy weekend planned!

Jennifer I would never dine in the sky like that :scared1:

Robyn I am enjoying your TR!

I was hoping Amy would be back by now :rolleyes1

Elizabeth I think I would have had a few choice words with that sales person :headache:

Jennifer I know I missed you, but safe travels & hope you all have a good time!

Gary & I will be gone for the weekend, we get a little bit of alone time

Hope everyone that is not feeling well, gets better soon :wizard:

I will catch up on Sunday!

Denise - I am sorry the ENT didn't have anything useful to contribute! I hope the neuro will have some answers for you guys! Has John had an MRI or CT scan or is that all neuro stuff? DS has a "blotch" in his brain - they actually caught it on a CT and then did an MRI to get a better look at it.

Janet - Have a FABULOUS weekend!!

It's a good thing we wanted to know the baby's gender, because this baby was very proud to show off HIS anatomy! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Robyn - I loved your first TR installment! :goodvibes

Jennifer, Glynis, and Janet, I hope you all have great weekends away!

Elizabeth, I agree, a camera is much better than a tent.

More prayers for Shocker, Karen.

Tammi and Theresa, you have busy weekends ahead! I like Terry's weekend plans much better. :)

Denise, I'm sorry you're so frustrated. Hopefully John will have a much better appointment with the neuro.

Love your pictures and trip report, Robyn!

Jen and I are meeting at Red Robin for dinner tonight (Kevin is pouting...he loves that place). Tomorrow night, we have the Sharonville Employees Appreciation Banquet (not my idea of a fun time, but I don't have to cook and the kids are going to Grandma's for a few hours). No plans on Sunday.

:woohoo: congrats on another little boy, Amy & Kevin. How does Alyssa feel about this?
