Remember you can't cure insanity...and obviously the ex has a screw loose! You are trying to approach things rationally..and that will most likely not work for you...and in the end, drive you crazy!

I do know know several divorced couples who can only communicate via email....so that doesn't surprise me

and you're right...divorced couples = a lot of baggage...but in your case, you seem like you are getting a lot of good in the package...try to keep sight of that.

I'm sorry, but anyone who refuses to talk to their daughter's father so she gets the kid a cell phone, is more than just dysfunctional. Her behavior is going to scar Bethany for life. That is really sad.

Paula I do hope Mark can get things straightened out with Cassie. that things calm down in your home!

OMG!!! This day is just getting funnier (in a matter of speaking).
Mark decided to go get a few things at the base store (BX) where Cassie works.
Cassie wasn’t working. So Mark called her (to here her answer on why she wasn’t at a register) to see when he needed to pick her up. She said “I am on break right now and I get done at 8:30, but I have a ride home from Kim. I love you dad see you later she said.

Mark then ran into one of Cassie’s supervisors and asked if Cassie was working tonight. He super said she had called in sick because she had an unscheduled dental appt. Oh I forgot Mark said. He then asked if he could pick up her schedule in the future so as not to cause this kind of problem again.

HOLY PLUTO POOP!

Mark met Cassie in the driveway when she was “brought home from work”. They are now having a “Come to Jesus” conversation. They left the house because the yelling is causing problems with the small ones.

Can you all hear them yelling?

I have no clue what the rest of this week holds, but WOW it’s like a Soap Opera in my house.

I do hope you are all well.

Hmmm..where did you see/read that? I saw a post saying they would follow last years schedule which was Tuesdays & Fridays!
Ok, I am headed to bed..all this ADR talk is driving me batty..(but I guess its a good problem to have, right?)

We went on Saturday last year 8/18. I still have my matrix from that trip. Maybe the days changed towards the end of the month?

Nicholas lost a tooth at Rel. Ed. tonight, so now I have to stay up for awhile.

By the time DS lost his last tooth we were pretty burned out on waiting for the tooth fairy! But yay for Nicholas!

I will be curious as to hearing reviews from any of you using the dining plan...so far it had been a real pain. ...especially when using the DDE as well. It took 20 minutes to pay at Chefs De France..

We have used 2 TS...and 2 CS today...when I checked at the front desk, none of them have been applied plus the charge from tonights tip was not there...but the charge from using the DDE was

That sounds annoying! Changing the DDP was a really stupid idea. I haven't heard anything good, either, except from people who hadn't used the old plan and don't know any better!

It's been a few whirlwind days around here, I'm still catching up on chapter three, so it might be a while before I catch up. The surgery is still up in the air, but things seem to be falling into place.

Let me ask a question.....

What would you think of a mother that buys her 5 yr old DD a cellphone (Firefly)?

Bob's ex bought one for Bethany. First, she and Bob can't talk civilly (she always flies off the handle) so she has told him not to call her, that if he needs to discuss something he has to email or text her. Hello? How can you communicate that way? They have shared custody of Bethany. Mom has her Sun. night through Thurs morning, and he gets her after work on Thurs until Sun night. Do you think the two adults might need to talk every once in awhile???? Second, ex is so annoyed with Bob that she doesn't want to have to go through him to talk to Bethany (when she is with her dad) so she bought her a cell phone. I can't believe it. You know, I thought dating a divorcee would be easier, because they've 'been there, done that', but there is an AWFUL lot of baggage that goes with it. I don't know if I have the energy to put up with it.

I know a mom like that.
I would just try to stay out of it. While I think 5 is too young for a cell phone there are LOTS of divorced parents who give the kids a phone so they can reach them anytime. As tempting as it might be to tell her she can't use the phone when she is with Bob, that would likely land him back in court so he should probably just let it go. She may be looking for reasons to go back to court, so be prepared for more outrageous things to pop up if she is trying to bait him into opposing her.

LOL! In the "requirements," it states ages 3-14.

Considering an experience earlier today in which Matthew protested holding my hand on our way into the post office (and then screamed his head off when I picked him up), I don't think I have the energy to chase him around a dance for two hours!

Sister decided to lay down in the middle of the parking lot at Sam's one day. It's such a cute age, isn't it?

I wish! I am staying in pajamas a while anyway. I figure I will stick around here (and hopefully get some stuff done, while I have a bit of energy -- goodness knows I don't ever when I get home from work) until about 10 or 10:30, then try and venture out. It's at least a little break, and I might even accomplish something at home for a change, too!

I hope you have a good day! Closings in DISD are unheard of, so I can relate. I think we are the 12th largest public district in the nation. Be careful if you go to the office later!

I didn't sleep well at all. It was too hot in our room, DH was snoring, then we had MASSIVE storms. Then the cats were playing and jumping on and off the bed. Now DH is yammering about a house on fire and it's in a new subdivision that has no fire hydrants. I'm sorry that somebody's house is on fire. But I am exhausted and it's not MY house. I don't want to chit chat about it!

I have an appointment to get my hair done today. I was thinking of getting it cut short, but I decided that I want to keep my long hair. But it is so thin that I can't do anything with it. So I decided to get a perm, I have not had one for 10+ years, maybe longer. I am sorta nervous, I do not want to have my hair fried or come out looking like a poodle So if it turns out, I will post a picture & see what you all think. If it doesn't, well guess I will continue to wear my hat

I had my hair cut yesterday. Just trimmed. Mine is very thin too and the only way that I can keep it long is if it is layered. That gives me volume on top, so it doesn't look plastered to my head. Then I use a round brush when I dry it to poof it up a bit. I hope you are happy with your results.

Unfortunately, it rained every day during our trip, but with the Neat Sheet I was able to keep our double stroller (and the kids inside) dry. It fit perfectly over the stroller and each corner has weights so when we went on a ride or went to see a show, we draped the sheet over the stroller and the wind never blew it off. It dried rather quickly and it folded up nicely so that we could store it in the basket under the stroller (even when the stroller was folded up). Oh and the MM also described the new improved Playhouse Disney Live! It starts out with Mickey, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy planning for Minnie's bday party. Then it changes to Handy Manny, then Little Einsteins. The finale is Minnie's big party. Sounds fun!

Your hair does not look thin at all, you do a good job of making it look fuller

Well, I think I'm going to shower and get ready to head out. Hopefully the roads are at least a bit devoid of cars.... it doesn't look like the freezing rain is stopping anytime soon. I am going to try to get in and out, because apparently we're expecting more this afternoon.

I did, however, pay bills, pick up around the house a bit, and do 3 loads of laundry this morning! That's more than I've been able to accomplish in any one day in quite a while! I need to start getting up a few hours early for work every day, and maybe my house would be livable!
