DDA Chapter 4

I am sorry about the really small polar bear photo.....I was trying to shrink it for my signature and it only shrank in the post:confused3

congrats, Nicholas! :thumbsup2 The tooth fairy forgot to come see BK a month ago. BAD TOOTH FAIRY! :rolleyes1 It was all that darn turtles fault... ;)

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Denise, Can I just say that it is so good to see you posting here?

OMG!!! This day is just getting funnier (in a matter of speaking).
Mark decided to go get a few things at the base store (BX) where Cassie works.
Cassie wasn’t working. So Mark called her (to here her answer on why she wasn’t at a register) to see when he needed to pick her up. She said “I am on break right now and I get done at 8:30, but I have a ride home from Kim. I love you dad see you later she said.

Mark then ran into one of Cassie’s supervisors and asked if Cassie was working tonight. He super said she had called in sick because she had an unscheduled dental appt. Oh I forgot Mark said. He then asked if he could pick up her schedule in the future so as not to cause this kind of problem again.

HOLY PLUTO POOP!

Mark met Cassie in the driveway when she was “brought home from work”. They are now having a “Come to Jesus” conversation. They left the house because the yelling is causing problems with the small ones.

Can you all hear them yelling?

I have no clue what the rest of this week holds, but WOW it’s like a Soap Opera in my house.

I do hope you are all well.

Oh and thank you for letting me vent.

Tammi...

Remember you can't cure insanity...and obviously the ex has a screw loose! You are trying to approach things rationally..and that will most likely not work for you...and in the end, drive you crazy!

I do know know several divorced couples who can only communicate via email....so that doesn't surprise me

and you're right...divorced couples = a lot of baggage...but in your case, you seem like you are getting a lot of good in the package...try to keep sight of that.

Tammi I have no advice or comments, just a

Tammi, Kristine is right. In ANY relationship, there's good and bad. Unfortunately, his ex is very bad, but you know you love Bob, so you're going to have to create some coping skills when she rears her irrational, spiteful head.

Hang in there!

Kristine said it so well.

I know, I know. I just wanted validation that I wasn't the crazy one! Thanks.

Tammi...
Do you remember Phil our segway instructor?? Well, he gave Bill & I a tour of the "house of tomorrow" in innoventions...
YES! Did he still do it for you???? ;)

That is ridiculous. I can't imagine Colby having a cell phone. If I were Bob I wouldn't allow her to use it when she is with him. That should really frost her :goodvibes I agree that they need to find some neutral ground to communicate for her sake.
That's what I said. He is hoping that she breaks it or loses it. ;)

Nicholas lost a tooth at Rel. Ed. tonight, so now I have to stay up for awhile.

Congrats to Nicholas!

congrats, Nicholas! :thumbsup2 The tooth fairy forgot to come see BK a month ago. BAD TOOTH FAIRY! :rolleyes1 It was all that darn turtles fault... ;)

:rotfl:

Hi guys,

It's been a few whirlwind days around here, I'm still catching up on chapter three, so it might be a while before I catch up. The surgery is still up in the air, but things seem to be falling into place.

PD :wizard: all around!

I'm glad to hear things seem to be settling down some. Please pop in here when you can, even if you haven't caught up there. Take care of yourself! :goodvibes

Let me ask a question.....

What would you think of a mother that buys her 5 yr old DD a cellphone (Firefly)?

Bob's ex bought one for Bethany. First, she and Bob can't talk civilly (she always flies off the handle) so she has told him not to call her, that if he needs to discuss something he has to email or text her. Hello? How can you communicate that way? They have shared custody of Bethany. Mom has her Sun. night through Thurs morning, and he gets her after work on Thurs until Sun night. Do you think the two adults might need to talk every once in awhile???? Second, ex is so annoyed with Bob that she doesn't want to have to go through him to talk to Bethany (when she is with her dad) so she bought her a cell phone. I can't believe it. You know, I thought dating a divorcee would be easier, because they've 'been there, done that', but there is an AWFUL lot of baggage that goes with it. I don't know if I have the energy to put up with it.

Kevin apparently still lurks on the thread. He came home from work grumbling that Matthew McConaughey was on my list. :rotfl:

:rotfl: Hi Kevin! :goodvibes

I told you all about the wonderful package my mom sent us last week. :goodvibes

Today, Alyssa and Matthew received another one, except this time she included a box of cake mix, 2 tubes of frosting, cupcake cups, and some heart sprinkles with a note that said, "Maybe Mommy will make you some cupcakes for Valentine's Day!"

I have so much time and energy to do that...especially since we're leaving Friday to visit her for the three-day weekend! :rotfl:

That's too funny! I'm sure she is going to be so happy to see you all!

Before I forget:(again)

Abi and I went to the zoo on Saturday for our alone time. She was so excited....we learned about the bathroom habits of 2 animals up close and personal.:rotfl: But her favorite part was Suzy the organtun(I know I butchered the poor animals name) was out. Suzy interacted with Abi last time it was just her and I for about a half hour. But was inside and off limits the last time we went as a family. All Abi could talk about was seeing her buddy the o. This is Suzy (pic taken by Abi):

Wonderful zoo pictures! :goodvibes

:grouphug: I hope there is a little peace in your house soon!

Good morning DDA! I have a silly complaint to get off my chest, then I'm going to try and lie down, or be productive or something instead of dwelling on it :rotfl:

Our center follows the closing policy of the Cincinnati Public Schools -- this means we never close. Maybe once a year, if we're lucky, but mostly never. No delays, nothing. I don't know if it's the logistics of a massive school system, or the fact that most don't ride bus transportation (many walk, or take city transport instead), or what.... but they don't close.

Today, with the snow and ice arriving as predicted, they closed. Hooray! Snow day!

Except a) I had to wake up to see that they closed, and call off the appropriate staff, transportation of all of our kids, all the parents that bring their kids, etc. So of course, I'm more wide awake than I could ever be to be successful at falling back to sleep. B) My regional boss is in town, so I still have to make it into the office sometime! Boo!

Still, I'm going to "work from home" for the morning (I did bring some stuff, but it isn't happening any time soon!), and then try and make it in when the snow emergency lifts and I'm even allowed driving. But I want to stay in my pajamas and in my warm house all day since work is closed! :rotfl:

Also Kyle doesn't get out of work, even in a level 3 emergency. His lovely hospital badge gets him out of tickets, etc, and into a horribly nerve-wracking driving experience. Lucky guy, huh?

I hope you all are doing well! Have a good day! :goodvibes

LOL! In the "requirements," it states ages 3-14.

Considering an experience earlier today in which Matthew protested holding my hand on our way into the post office (and then screamed his head off when I picked him up), I don't think I have the energy to chase him around a dance for two hours!

:rotfl:

maybe that's his way of dancing??:confused3 :rotfl:

No, he wants to join Alyssa's ballet class. That was another lovely fit he demonstrated earlier today. ;) :teeth:
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Theresa - love your new pictures!

Also, would you (and anyone else who hasn't already done so) go to this site and enter your birthday info for me. that will update your email addresses for me and also keep me in the loop as to when you have a celebration coming up! Thanks a bunch...

I think Kristine said it well, Tammi. Just remember that Bob is not the crazy one here - it's his ex. Hopefully you can both help keep one another sane, as well as give each of your kids an idea of what a healthy, loving relationship looks like!

Perfectly said, Lindsay!

That'll teach him to lurk! ;)

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh come on, Amy - he was just playing hard to get! ;)

learning young!

Heck, the kids can't read yet, can they?! Tell them the note reads that they're to take this stuff to grandma's house this weekend for cupcake-making with her!

oh, that would be sweet payback, for certain!! :thumbsup2

Jennifer - I say "stay in your jammies and go back to bed for the day!"

Jennifer - I say "stay in your jammies and go back to bed for the day!"

I wish! I am staying in pajamas a while anyway. :) I figure I will stick around here (and hopefully get some stuff done, while I have a bit of energy -- goodness knows I don't ever when I get home from work) until about 10 or 10:30, then try and venture out. It's at least a little break, and I might even accomplish something at home for a change, too! :rotfl:

I STILL say... STAY HOME :goodvibes

Jenn - I see a lot about Sheraton Vistana. Seems there are some folks on the DVC board that also own there, too. (Can't really figure that one out, but whatever!) Have you looked at the Other Orlando Hotels forum here on the DIS (or maybe reviews on AllEars?)? I bet you could find some recent reviews that way!
:

I didnt even think of that---i didnt know there was an other orlando hotels forum!!! thanks!

Morning all--im headed to work..were supposed to get ice later this afternoon--maybe people will pick up their kids early :)

have a great day

I plan to hibernate today, :surfweb: this is me but with hot cocoa.
They have also changed the forecast yet again, now 3-5" of snow this afternoon through the evening, and switching over to freezing rain at midnight.

Thank goodness we do not have freezing rain in our forecast, yet! Sounds like a good day for you to stay indoors :thumbsup2

TGM August Vacation Club Forums.
Thanks, I'll go take a look.

Nicholas lost a tooth at Rel. Ed. tonight, so now I have to stay up for awhile.
Yay for Nicholas!!!!!:wizard:

I will be curious as to hearing reviews from any of you using the dining plan...so far it had been a real pain. ...especially when using the DDE as well. It took 20 minutes to pay at Chefs De France..

We have used 2 TS...and 2 CS today...when I checked at the front desk, none of them have been applied :confused3plus the charge from tonights tip was not there...but the charge from using the DDE was

Um, no a 5 year old doesn't need a cell phone. I like what Kristine said on the matter, she put it perfectly. (see below)
