Thanks for all the compliments on the pictures I posted earlier.

Matthew took his haircut very seriously.

Alyssa and Kevin had a great time at the dance. They ate pizza and make-your-own sundaes and danced for two hours. This will be a neat annual tradition.

There is a "Mom-Son Prom" too, but Matty's not old enough yet.

Considering an experience earlier today in which Matthew protested holding my hand on our way into the post office (and then screamed his head off when I picked him up), I don't think I have the energy to chase him around a dance for two hours!

No, he wants to join Alyssa's ballet class. That was another lovely fit he demonstrated earlier today.

I told you all about the wonderful package my mom sent us last week.

Today, Alyssa and Matthew received another one, except this time she included a box of cake mix, 2 tubes of frosting, cupcake cups, and some heart sprinkles with a note that said, "Maybe Mommy will make you some cupcakes for Valentine's Day!"

I have so much time and energy to do that...especially since we're leaving Friday to visit her for the three-day weekend!

before I forget....when we moved I changed email addresses but also kept the @juno.com address....as of tonight my main email is the same as @juno.com but @msn.com for ISP. I am getting way too much spam at the juno address......like 10 a day!!

Hi all!!

We are here!

Made it out yesterday without any troubles...even though it was -1 and 40 mph winds.

The boardwalk is GREAT! There was a little snafu so we were surprisingly upgraded into a 1 bedroom...there were flowers and a card/balloons in the room as an early birthday surprise.

Yesterday we did the Studios...there had to 20,000 cheerleaders there!!!! Apparently there is a big competition going on!!! We ate to 50's Prime Time...which was very good. Then we met friends for an Illuminations Cruise...which we always enjoy. We spent some time beforehand with one of the boat drivers (Omar) which we have become friends with...and he is always a lot of fun.

Today we did the Undiscovered Future world Tour (pretty good) you get VIP seating for Illuminations (which we will do tonight)...shortly we will head out to Chefs De France.

Sounds like a great time - I wold love to hear about your VIP viewing of IllumiNations - where do they do this?

Sorry to hear the kiddos are sick! all around!

It's been a few whirlwind days around here, I'm still catching up on chapter three, so it might be a while before I catch up. The surgery is still up in the air, but things seem to be falling into place.

Let me ask a question.....

What would you think of a mother that buys her 5 yr old DD a cellphone (Firefly)?

Bob's ex bought one for Bethany. First, she and Bob can't talk civilly (she always flies off the handle) so she has told him not to call her, that if he needs to discuss something he has to email or text her. Hello? How can you communicate that way? They have shared custody of Bethany. Mom has her Sun. night through Thurs morning, and he gets her after work on Thurs until Sun night. Do you think the two adults might need to talk every once in awhile???? Second, ex is so annoyed with Bob that she doesn't want to have to go through him to talk to Bethany (when she is with her dad) so she bought her a cell phone. I can't believe it. You know, I thought dating a divorcee would be easier, because they've 'been there, done that', but there is an AWFUL lot of baggage that goes with it. I don't know if I have the energy to put up with it.

I think Kristine said it well, Tammi. Just remember that Bob is not the crazy one here - it's his ex. Hopefully you can both help keep one another sane, as well as give each of your kids an idea of what a healthy, loving relationship looks like!

Yes freeze anything that you want to keep longer then a week. Yes my booklet has recipes in it, as you can buy canisters to store food in also.

Mine is an actual foodsaver brand. It came with canisters too. Someday I'll find time to explore their website...someday.

Janet, first they were calling for 4-6 inches of snow for tomorrow. Now they are calling for a little snow, then sleet, more snow, before fisishing off with freezing rain.

I think we have you beat. We are expecting a foot or more. Starting tomorrow afternoon and running into Wednesday. We have had bad weather every Wednesday for months it seems.

desirae and i need yalls help. she is thinking of names. she has picked mason garret if its a boy but doesnt have one for a girl yet. the middle name is going to be gail(husbands moms name). desirae likes maddilynn. the initials have to be M G. Her husband wants it that way. if he doesnt get what he wants he throws a fit

If Colby had been a girl he would have been named MacKenzie. I absolutely adore that name and it isn't overly popular yet

Elizabeth-I forgot to say this this weekend 32 PAIRS OF SHORTS???????? I don't think I have 32 pairs of pants/shorts/skirts all together!!

Paula-Cassidy was all gung ho for a pillowcase. Even if it doesn't work for the whole band (gotta go through the band director) I bet you'll have an order from us for the flutes. I am sorry your step daughter is being a pill. I will be praying for Mark tonight as he talks to her.

I am going to be an auntie again in real life. Yes my sisters boys call me Auntie. My sister swore she was done after 2 is pregnant and due in early September.

As far as weather it was 55 and sunny and in less than a half hour we lost 20 degrees and it started spitting snow. I personally don't want spring....that's when we get our worst snow storms!!!Bring on summer!!

ive been checking out prices on each's website--are there better places to get tickets? looking at 1 day in seaworld, 1 in islands of adventure, 1 in universal

Universal had some great deals on 7 day passes. I bought some for us to use at some unknown future date.

That is ridiculous. I can't imagine Colby having a cell phone. If I were Bob I wouldn't allow her to use it when she is with him. That should really frost her I agree that they need to find some neutral ground to communicate for her sake.

Glad that the TF made it up to the poor girl.

Nick had 2 teeth pulled and he has no idea where they are He misplaced them, but found $2 on his desk (which he put there) and thought that the tooth fairy had come If he ever finds them then the tooth fairy will show up.

Abi and I went to the zoo on Saturday for our alone time. She was so excited....we learned about the bathroom habits of 2 animals up close and personal. But her favorite part was Suzy the organtun(I know I butchered the poor animals name) was out. Suzy interacted with Abi last time it was just her and I for about a half hour. But was inside and off limits the last time we went as a family. All Abi could talk about was seeing her buddy the o. This is Suzy (pic taken by Abi):

Thanks for all the compliments on my little "Ladies Man". I think he's kind of special I asked him the other day which finger he had me wrapped around and he put up all fingers on both hands and said "both of them" He's got me pegged. I wanted me to make him a shirt that had a chick and a magnet, but when I found this on clearance I couldn't resist. Chris wants one just like it
