DDA Chapter 4

We had Amanda cremated and I keep her little box here by the computer. Our vet's office was really supportive, and they sent a card expressing their sympathy.
The Uncles lost both of their dogs within a few weeks of each other and they have the boxes of cremated remains on the dresser in their bedroom, each box has the dog's collar on top. I am glad the vet offers cremation. I think it helps with closure.

I haven't made much progress getting things cleaned up this weekend.
I did take all of the pins from Disney Shopping out of the packaging. Now my fingers are sore! The pins don't take up much room but WOW! are they heavy! The little pointy posts might not be dangerous, but if I knocked somebody upside the head with the full bag it could be fatal!:faint:

DH is on his way home. I am getting ready to go to the grocery store. We spent a FORTUNE on fast food last week because there were no groceries in the house.

I called the pharmacy and the automated thing said they just shipped DH's meds on Thursday, so I am not as freaked out about that as I was.

shocker passed this morning. last night the dr called and said while they were feeding her she was regurgitating her food. over the night she spiked a fever and was having trouble breathing. when they went to move her to get an x-ray her heart stopped. they put her on vent and called and we said let her go. im ok and glad she went so we wouldn't have to make the decision. my parents are worse than i am right now. but we will get through.

:grouphug: I hope you and your family will be able to find peace.

Gotta love lazy sundays! I fnished all of my resumes/cover letters and put them in and sealed the envolopes--one big thing off my list! woohoohoo

Good to see you Stephanie.

So what would be some fun, interesting things for my kiddos and I to do in Philly?

/
you know whats funny--ive lived this close to philly my entire life and never really been there to look around--just for concerts and stuff.

Is everyone doing sat-sun..or are people planning on friday too?

I had a huge multi quote thread but then my printer froze and forced me to restart my computer so I lost it all. Let me see what I can remember...

Karen-I am so sorry for your loss!:grouphug:

Denise-so sorry to hear about your Grandmother.:grouphug:

Jen-congrats on getting your resumes done!

Deb-hope you didn't push your knee too much today!

Becky-great pictures!

Robyn-LOVE your TR! Great photos and never too many!!! My DH is just like yours-he wants to sleep in on vacation. That can't be done at Disney! He can have an afternoon nap but no sleeping in!!!! I don't even need an alarm clock at Disney!

Elizabeth-I think you should stick to Nordstroms. There is one opening here soon. I don't think I've ever been to one. Congrats on exchanging you smelly bag for a backpack!

I just balanced 9 months worth of bank statements (I know I'm the accountant :bitelip: ) so I can't remember too much else.

I've been getting Emma to use the potty without a step stool this weekend!:thumbsup2 I am so excited! I was a bit nervous about this one last step before going to Disney! She's proud of herself too and is very excited about going on our trip! She says she wants to try Everest! And Kali and Dinosaur and Goofy Barnstormer (I can't believe she hasn't done that yet-she LOVES Test Track and BTMRR).

She's been telling me that because it is my birthday trip that I can pick the first ride we do. She tells me it should be Test Track because I love that one.:rotfl:

Lizzy finally admited that it was that girl who showed Lizzy how to do that drawing. I'm very disappointed that she lied to me and told her that it would take a while for me to be able to trust her again. I didn't punish her for the drawing but did explain that it wasn't nice, was distasteful and could get her kicked out of school if she did it there.

She won't be going to that girl's house again as there is no way I am brave enough to confront her mother. It is very strange that an only child girl would have access to that type of thing.

I still need to talk to Lizzy more about standing up for herself rather than submitting to peer pressure.

Elizabeth-thanks for that video on lemons.:crazy2:

I am going to place an order from minimus.biz again for my May trip. I may have to order a few packets of lemon juice (10 cents each).

Karen- :grouphug: :grouphug: for you and your parents.

Deb- Hope you have a great day! pixiedust: for your knee.

Penny- You are a great daughter! I see my mom and her 2 sisters spend each and every day with my grandmother at the nursing home (they all take turns) and I think that there is no way that I could do it. I don't handle hospitals/nursing homes well at all. How old are your nephews? It will be great to meet you in Philly!

Elizabeth- Have fun at the grocery store. Over the past few days we have gone and spent well over $400 between Sam's, Walmart, BJ's and the regular grocery, I did buy some other things other than food- diapers and the girl's Easter outfits. But, yikes!! It had best last a looooooooooooooooooooooong time. Other than fruit, milk and bread we hopefully won't need too much. We've been doing take out a lot- and as much as I hate to cook, I hate eating out that much.

Bernadette- 9 months :faint:

I started our Hollywood Studios day but probably won't get it finished until late tonight. My inlaws should be here with in the next hour or so Should be a ton of fun :rolleyes1

Oh and Eric wants me to somehow pull $500 out of the air for a Wii, one of the small game stores around here is getting 6 of them in tomorrow. As much as I would like one I have yet to figure out where it's coming from. :upsidedow

How nice of her :goodvibes

I am glad that Lizzy finally admitted the truth. I am so not looking forward to dealing with all of these grownup dilemmas!

Yeah thanks! He did just get about an extra $1000 in back pay from his raise but I was/am trying to be responsible with the extra $$. Him not so much

Chat with you all later!!

Pretty gross, huh? I usually drink soda or bottled water when we go out because I don't like tea and tap water tastes gross.

Bernadette, I don't think Lizzy needs to be playing with that little girl anymore, either! I am glad she told you what happened.
I am so glad Emma is progressing well with her pottying! :) I think you will have a great time in May!

So Super Target might be cheaper than the grocery store, but it still cost $223!:scared: I bought cat food, which is $12. I also bought several more packages of meat than I typically buy so I guess it all adds up. At least nobody can complain that we don't have food on hand!

Thanks for the kudos, but I was a baby and cried the entire time. Not a pretty site and 58 year blubbering. :rotfl2:
My Nephews are 14 & 15 or 14 & 14? somewhere in there. I am not sure.

Where would everyone want to meet? there is Down Town (I could get some prices from downtown? I would call them as I don't go into the city)
or in Lower Bucks County or the fringes of NorthEast Philly or City Line Ave. If you stay in Lower Bucks County there is Sesame Place, which is for younger children. Philly is a big place so people would want to figure out what they want to do and then stay close to there?

Penny :flower3:

Please feel free to go pick money from the money tree. It's out back of your house, you just can't see it real good. pixiedust:

It will be very difficult when her grandmother comes back in May. I may have a talk with the grandmother. She has openly complained to us that the girl's mom (her daughter) is too undisaplined. I think she might understand if we tell her that Lizzy can't play with her unless there is an adult in the room.

I was out shopping last week and said to Lizzy-"look they opened up a Dollar Tree here." She was SO excited to find a money tree.:rotfl: Wasn't so excited when I told her it was just a store's name.

Just you wait! ;) :goodvibes

How much fun would that be?!?

Actually Tom, we are planning on visiting our relatives in Michigan and would love to spend a day out your way. We are looking right now at the week of July 13th. I haven't heard back from my cousin yet but hopefully we can work something out!

Love Leighanna's birthday pics!! :goodvibes I will be mailing out a package for her on Monday, so be on the lookout.

Is it your side of the family or Eric's that you visit in Michigan? I have friends that used to live in Holland that have the same last name. I think I asked you once but don't remember seeing a response on whether they could be related. I was close friends with her (but it was her husband's family name).
