DDA Chapter 3

8:30 - ACK!

Goodnight, enjoy your breakfast.

Goodnight, I am heading to bed too!

I need to get something to eat, my tummy is growling!

I don't have a DDE card yet. I am not planning on many TS meals for May or August so I'm not sure if I want to buy one. Decisions, decisions!
Where are you staying in August? It is great that you can use it at Pop even if the CM's get cranky.

I'm on the phone now chatting with Bob and we are discussing the possibility of him coming in Aug. We are even talking about driving! ACK!
:scared1:

I'm preparing my Color Coded Matrix of Costs. :lmao:
:wizard:

Can you say 'shrinkage'? :rolleyes1 :rotfl:
:lmao:

I am going to miss all you guys!!!!!!!

I am back... with pizza and wine.
Cool!

I always THOUGHT I wanted to do the IllumiNations dinner, but DH pointed out that if the wind is blowing towards the viewing area everybody gets a face full of smoke/ash/debris. So maybe the Wishes cruise? What night would you want to do it?
The Illuminations thing is a dessert party viewing-would that spot be in the path of the smoke? I did an Illuminations cruise and it was awesome but Emma still remembers the smoke-she was 3 1/2.

So now he says he would like to bring his DD. We would need a 2 br, as the studios and 1 br only sleep 4. I can't afford the pts. for a 2 br, so he might be renting his own points. I'm trying to talk him into him buying into DVC because if the 5 of us will be traveling we will definitely need them.

Anne Marie - how come the reg. rooms at BC sleep 5 but the villas don't? Any idea?
The rooms have 2 queens and a daybed. The studios have one queen and a sleep sofa.

I was reading today that there are 1-bedrooms at AKL that sleep 5.
I think they have a sleep chair rather than a daybed.

I think the obvious solution is for you to fly down ahead of time and then Dana can drive down with the kids! ;)
:thumbsup2

Around here boys don''t wear panties, they wear briefs :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Oh my I am laughing so hard :rotfl:
:rotfl2: You guys are making the time fly while I'm doing my borders. Just 5 more photos to go.

Well, if DS & DH want bras they will have to get their own. I'm not sharing.:snooty:
:rotfl:

Janet - it was you!
Congrats.

Good night, Anne Marie.

It's been fun tonight!

Yes I have PC booked for Aug. & we do like eating in their food court. Plus I will be there in May. I need to do some thinking!

Where are you staying in August? It is great that you can use it at Pop even if the CM's get cranky.

The cheese broccoli soup that I made is awesome. Katrina is eating some tonight as well. It freezes really well. We had bought some Schwan's cheese broccoli soup and I'm using the same instructions to heat it up in the microwave. Katrina & Pete both really like it as well. Mom said that I could make some for her as well. I think this recipe was definitely a success.

Elin - Congrats to Kathrin! How wonderful! I have to say that salary isn't everything. One of the jobs I turned down paid $6K more than my job with Princess, but I LOVE my job with her. This is also probably the first job search where we were in a financial position for me NOT to put so much importance on salary. I hope it works out for her!

Thanks, Elizabeth. I agree that money isn't everything. If it were, I wouldn't be a teacher! :rotfl: She realizes it too. She is making good money now and not liking her job much these days. The non-profit agency that offered her $15,000 more than she makes now is not her first choice because she fears she will soon tire of writing the spin required. It is also located outside of Boston in Lexington. Her dream is to live and work in downtown Boston. The second company, her favorite (and mine as you will soon see :rolleyes1), is located in downtown Boston with a younger staff and a chance to be very creative in her writing. I think that if they come back with anything additional she will be writing about these little baubles from Hearts On Fire:

I wish her the best of luck in the decision making process Elin.

I think I'm going to have some ice cream and then head to bed.

I'll meet you for breakfast at 8:30 too, Tammi. I don't want you to feel left out. ;)
I hope to still be sleeping. Or at least lounging in bed. There is nothing I hate more than having to get up and get moving early on a Sat. morning. I do that all week. I want my Sats. to be leisurely, and if it isn't until noon that I get showered and dressed, all the better!

I'm home!!!! The roads are horrible, but I had not trouble as I was prepared. There wer only 4 of us at work and it was slow, but not as horrible as I had expected. All in all not a total loss :thumbsup2

I have been fighting with the photopass site most of the day. Between that and the kids I want to bang my head against a brick wall

The rain has turned the kids into animals today. It's not been pleasant to say the least.

My 5 kids were very well behaved today. of course Colby took a 3 hour nap so Logan had no one to fight with :rotfl:

I think he's adorable, and I'm not prejudiced in the least! You and Chris are going to have your hands full one both Nick and Hunter begin attracting females! Add Colby to the mix, and you are going to be in some serious trouble!!

Thank you. Colby wants me to make him a shirt that says chick magnet :goodvibes He tells me that all the girls  him :lmao:

Here I am asking for prayers and pixie dust. My 17 year old niece found out several months ago that she is pregnant. She knows that she can't make a marriage work at this age, and she really doesn't want to try. She and Brandon made the decision to place the baby up for adoption, but his parents are trying to talk them out of it. They do not want to help raise the baby, they want the kids to get married, and raise the baby on their own. Could you please pray that they will stay out of this until the baby is placed? Thanks.

That is a horrible situation for all involved. I'll pray for peace in whatever they do. Is there a family member that would consider adopting the baby?

Dawn and I went out in this ice mess today. She really wanted to keep a doctor appointment, because she was very sure she had another Dermoid tumor. She was right.

We also had our mamo's done.

Yeah for getting the mamo's done. :wizard: That the tumor can be easily removed
New update on the golf ball! Much better, don't you think? :teeth:

Much better :thumbsup2

Deb, your boys are cute. But sorry my heart belongs to Hunter.

Hunter has always had that effect on girls. He is nice looking and he is quite the charmer too.

Katrina is doing great. She just went into town with Becky and their boyfriends to pick up some more movies. They are also going to pick up some soft foods for her to eat. It is so good to see her up & about. She was so miserable last time.

I'm glad that she is dong well. This is how it should always be.

Reading the DIS! :rotfl:

And thinking about dinner, and working on the plan for our September trip, and debating about opening a bottle of wine to celebrate...

Kathrin got BOTH jobs! :dance3: :yay:  :cool1: :woohoo:

However (and it is a BIG however, to me!)... they are $10,000 apart in salary offers! Of course, the one she wants more is the one offering less money. She countered and they will get back to her on Monday. But, it is definite that she will be headed to Boston now. :yay: :sad1: :woohoo: :sad2:

That is great news for Kathrin. For Mom.

I used to LOVE those Graco Duo strollers! I had them for 2 different jobs. Brother & Sister had a Combi side-by-side that I HATED. Princess has a Maclaren but I use a little Graco for her so I don't have to worry about taking it out of my car at the end of the day. BabyTrend makes a really nice stroller with a 5 point harness and a higher weight limit than a lot of the strollers, but it might be too small for Emma.
DH loved the Graco too. I remember taking the kids for a walk in it with Emma in her carseat, Joe in the front seat and Lizzy squeazing standing between the two seats. The stroller was 34 pounds empty, then the car seat was a few pounds, Emma was 20 pounds by spring, Joe was probably 25 pounds and Lizzy was probably about 35 pounds. WELL over 100 pounds.:scared1:

I bought a MacLaren side by side double for our first family trip to Disney. Emma HATED that thing. She would NOT sit in it. I don't think she wanted to share her "space" with anyone that close. I only used it for that trip and a trip to the zoo. I bought the "last year's" model on line for $189 and sold it for $150 so I still did OK and the person who bought it from me still did OK too.

I bought the Peg Perego for the next WDW trip (again the "last year's" model discounted on line) and I really loved that thing. Lizzy was 5, Joe was not quite 4 and Emma was 21 months. We rented in the parks for Joe & Lizzy but even on the nights when all 3 kids were zonked we would carry Emma and Joe could ride in the seat and Lizzy on the running board.

I guess I really don't need a new stroller but I'm kind of nervous about taking Emma. She's a bit of a strange one and I'm really not sure how well she'll do without Joe & Lizzy there. I'm sure we'll have a grand time but I'm still a bit worried. So a few pounds lighter and a carrying strap will make things just a bit easier with her and I think that will be worth the $80 in peace of mind for me.

Well, as much fun as we are having I think I am going to head to bed. DS and I are meeting the Uncles for breakfast at 8:30 tomorrow, and I am dragging from not sleeping well last night.

Good night, DDA Friends!! :goodvibes
Have a nice breakfast! Good night!

Goodnight, I am heading to bed too!

Goodnight! Love your smiley!

Just a quick FYI-can't use the discount on the refillable mug.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I knew that! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm glad you are home safely Deb. I've been wondering how your commute was.
