DDA Chapter 3

Jennifer - Southwest flights are out through Aug. 22!

Good luck with your decision Elizabeth!

Jennifer I hope you can get some decent prices on flights for Aug. !

Jennifer I do not remember your exact dates, but I put in the 12th - 19th & there are some fares for $99 on SW.

How are you and your gang feeling today, Bernadette?

Ditto to both! :thumbsup2

thanks guys

All this talk of teeth brings back bad memories for me! My baby teeth were very slow to fall out, so my orthodontist was always ordering extractions. I had 16 of them pulled! My eye teeth came in so high, it looked like I had fangs. Then (believe it or not ;) ) he said my mouth was too small, so I had to have four permanent molars pulled and my wisdom teeth dug out, too.

So, I only have 24 permanent teeth, but after a couple years of braces, I wasn't so self-conscious about smiling anymore! :teeth:

Well, you have a gorgeous smile, so apparently, it was worth it!

These two statements together just don't sound right! :rotfl:

For those that have cruised: It might be an odd question - but when I cruised we didn't eat breakfast with anyone else except on our last day. Can someone fill me on where/when breakfast is served? Can you pick where you want to eat?

For breakfast you can get room service, they have food at Beach Blanket/Topsiders, they have food at Lumiere's/Triton's, they have food at Goofy's Galley. Some days at Parrot Cay are just buffet, other days on the Magic are Mickey's Jungle Jam Breakfast with characters, but it is a show type thing and the characters do not rotate from table to table. For Mickey's Jungle Jam you are assigned a day/time according to your dinner assignment.

Deb -

www.aaa.com/GPS

I don't have one but we started promoting this one this year.

ETA: The default zip is mine, but I'm almost certain that this is nationwide given it has a AAA National phone number attached...

They are promoting the Magellan. Best Buy thought the Garmin would be best for my Dad since it speaks more directions than the other brands. ie they will all say turn left in 1/2 mile, but the Garmin will add "on Main St"

Alan has a Garmin that his work bought him. We love it! It comes in really handy. It's very user friendly, and very complete. We very rarely lose satellite reception.

Can you connect to the internet to upload new maps etc?

I'm with Glynis....we have 2 Garmins and love them!! Easy to use and works very well This is the one I have.....I bought it from buydig.com...which usually has great prices.

Which models do you have?

Ok, I sewed my first outfit for myself! :lmao: Actually, it only required one straight seam down the back as it came off the bolt like this. You just buy two inches more than across the chest. I was looking for anything with animal print and ran across this. They had about 4 or 5 other types. They also had shorter ones for little girls.

Becky, DD19, says that I have to have straps (and I agree - the disadvantage of not having much on top). I haven't decided whether I'm brave enough to wear it to Animal Kingdom or whether it will be my swimsuit cover for the pool and water parks.

Now for the question: What do I do for straps. The bottom doesn't need to be hemmed because it is a finished edge. However, I can cut some off the bottom to make the straps and then hem it. Or is there something else that I could do for straps?

Very nice :thumbsup2 I would either shorten the dress and make straps out of the extra fabric or use brown ribbon. Our Joann's carries that type of fabric, but only had 4 prints and I was impressed with any of them. I have learned to shirr so I can now turn any fabric into that style :thumbsup2

I have been messing around with photoshop today. I have had it forever & never really did anything with it other than editing pictures. So I read a little today & TA DA!

We do need to get together...soon

All this talk about Lost........I've never watched it so I'd be lost if I tried to jump in at the beginning of season 4.

I threw that in there for you, Amy. :teeth:

If you jumped in now you wouldn't be anymore lost than those of us that have watched it all along :rotfl:

I'm not sure. As soon as Alan gets home from work I'll ask him.

What's that?

It's an Amanda Bynes movie:

This modern retelling of the classic fairytale follows a beautiful college freshman as she pledges her late mother's once dignified sorority. But after discovering that today's sisterhood is not what it used to be, Sydney finds her new home away from home with seven outcasts. With the help of her socially challenged new friends, Sydney will take on the reigning campus queen to attempt to transform the school's misguided social hierarchy.

well I got my income tax ready to file. Just have to wait till after Feb. 11th as they are still making updates to one of the forms I use.
