Well, I think I'm off to "read" my patterns and then try to get some sleep. I have a lot to do at work tomorrow and I want to get done early so I can do some sewing. I played with the machine some more today. I threaded the bobbin and practiced threading the machine several times to make sure I remember how to do it. I tried some more stitches. I'm having fun with it.

I'm going to scan the material into the computer and create a T-shirt design for the boys.

This is the fabric

I bought a couple of yards yesterday to make a shirt for me. When Chris saw the fabric on the chair he decided that he "needed" a shirt for AK. So I ran out after work tonight and picked up some more fabric as well as the patterns.

I almost bought that pattern myself but I didn't want the extra work of the middle section. I'm not ready for that yet.

That is also the shirt pattern I'm thinking about getting Chuck. There were a couple that I looked at for him.

Love the material.

I love the idea of scanning the fabric and creating a design for the boys. I may be able to get away with that for the girls if they won't let me make something in the same fabric. These first couple of shirts are just my trials. After I'm comfortable, I'll start the family matching outfits.

Chuck is still not feeling well. His throat is sore and he was having trouble talking without having coughing spasms. He is off to bed.

I hope he feels better quickly. Keep an eye out for Strep. It is running rampant in this neck of the woods. I'm hoping that our house is free of it now, but you just never know.


I'm off to bed. Lots to do tomorrow.
