DDA Chapter 3

I didn't want to get up this morning either. I couldn't fall asleep and Colby woke up at 2 AM with his feet and legs aching. It took me about an hour to get him comfortable and not crying. Thanks to Motrin, heating pad and leg and foot massages. Once he fell back asleep he was fine through the rest of the night. I find these nights of broken sleep just don't cut it. Since we have been getting him up for the potty during the night for the last 2 weeks sleep has been very broken. I'm not a happy Mommy. I just can't fathom how long this is going to take as he just does not wake up and he cannot hold it for longer than 4 or 5 hours. He is nearly 5 1/2 and I would think that he is capable, but I guess not. We don't even let him drink in the evening (which he is not happy about ) Did anyone else have Night time potty issues and when did they resolve?

Neither would be happy that I'm sharing this information, but Matthew wet the bed until he was about 6-1/2 or maybe almost 7, and my brother did, too. I think it really was a developmental/growth thing for Matthew, because it was like a switch turned all of a sudden. He went from wetting the bed almost every night to nothing in a matter of a week or so. He still didn't wake up to go most nights, but I think his capacity just got better all of a sudden. At the time, I thought it would never end, but now it is just a tiny blip on the radar.

I'm still at a loss with the top that I made. I'm toying with the idea of buying a long tank top and making a fat belt with the material to tie my outfit together with Chris'. I never realized how fussy I was about tops until now :lmao: I think I'll try to find an olive colored tank or cami to wear under it first and see if that makes a difference. That square neck does not allow for a supportive bra and I am just too old to not wear a bra. Chris thinks it looks great, but I need support :rotfl:

That's a terrific idea, too!

Those are so cute! I really like how DS' turned out. The shape really makes the cake! I've got to get thinking on how to do Terra's cake. Guess I had better start working on that this week. I may just chicken out and use the figurines for the characters. However, I have a "girl" shaped pan that I want to get out. I think that I can turn the shape into Buzz and then put Woody standing in front of him, but we'll have to see.

Please share pictures of whatever you end up doing.

Beth I am glad your Monday was relevantly easy for you!

Elizabeth :wizard: for the housekeeper!

That's exactly how DS was. A lot of times he gets up in the middle of the night now because he knows DH is getting ready for work and he likes to see him. DS's excuse for being out of bed is that he is going to the bathroom. ;)

Jennifer -It has been awhile since we had pics of your princesses! Yay for Virginia rolling over! :yay: I started with Brother when he was 6 1/2 mos. and he couldn't roll over because the girl they had before held him all the time. His parents didn't seem to notice.

I can't imagine that in the least! :confused3 :rotfl:

Cranky DH just called. We already had it arranged that I would pick up DS today, but he was calling to tell me I definitely have to go get DS. Duh!
Then he said he is going to be off tomorrow and Wednesday because the guy he was supposed to cover is going to work after all. DH said the guy has decided since all the hard work of Super Bowl is over that he can run his own route. I'm not sure if this is somebody who was out on short term disability or what.:confused3 I'm glad DH will have the days off because he needs to rest and get UNcranky!

Well I'm glad that he has the next few days off to get the crankiness out of his system.

So the housekeeper was sick last week and didn't come to clean. The neighbor stopped by a little bit ago to tell me the housekeeper is still sick. The poor housekeeper! She works 7 days a week so she is probably run down and can't fight off whatever is making her sick!
Anyway, the neighbor said the housekeeper's TB test was positive, but the chest x-ray shows she doesn't have TB. (That could have been bad for LOTS of people because all the families she cleans for have little ones!) The neighbor is bilingual and has been helping the housekeeper get the medical care she needs, but it sounds like the whole thing has just been a nightmare! So pixie dust for Maria that she feels better soon, please!:wizard:

I'm off to get Princess!

:wizard: for Maria! I hope she can get better fast.

Congrats!

Karen- I can't remember if I congratulated you or not so I'll ditto Beth!

Yay for a decent Monday!

You can have George Bush if you want him. ;) Although I don't think he intends to leave.:rolleyes1

I'll take them as I can get them. They are few and far between.

I don't like the search function. If anyone know's where Vicki's Italian Soup recipe is - please repost. I'm gonna go back an manually try to find it...

ETA: I found it by switching to California Gold!!!

Beautiful! When is Cassidy's birthday?

I can't believe that I am going to have a 17 year old in 2 months!

Cassidy will turn 16 and Abi will turn 12 on May 14th:sad2:

We got such a good deal on the necklace I couldn't pass it up. (I can't imagine paying the original price for it  )

I should have remembered that! Miles turns 9 on May 16th, and I turn another year older on the 18th. Matthew's 17th is in April. Laura will be 15 in August, and somehow that sounds much older than 14. It seems like just yesterday that they were 8, 5, and newborn. And each year seems to go just a little faster than the last! I'm getting :scared1:

Add me to the may gang.

Just neeed to figure out 16 small inxpensive things for Cassidy's 16th. Then it looks like I have a year before Laura turns 16.

you are so right!! I had a friend who was saying they couldn't believe their munchkin was walking already...I said don't blink for too long and they will be driving!!:scared1:

Time goes by too fast.

So we went to get DS and as I am sitting there in the carpool my phone rings. The lady identifies herself as being from the school, but she isn't one of DS's teachers. So I start to panic. :scared1: I am thinking he is either injured or ill, but at least I am RIGHT THERE.

Then she proceeds to tell me he is one of the Science Fair winners so we need to make sure to attend the ceremony tomorrow night!
I hate Science Fair, but it is gooooood to win!;) Heh heh.

I told her he is in the band so we were planning to be there anyway. :goodvibes

Congratulations to ds :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Theresa, can you please post the link to the Angel food company again? I have an aunt who might be interested.

Thank you, Heidi
