Good Morning DDA. 2 drs appointments on tap today. 35 weeks yeah!!!! No more automatic trip to the NICU if they come now.

Yay! Jennifer made it!!! Let's try for New Year's, though, ok? I know you're tired of bed rest, but try to hold out!!!

Well, I got all the kid's presents wrapped and under the tree last night. I just have 3 or 4 more presents to wrap for me, dad and Alan, and then I'm done. I plan on spending most of today in the kitchen getting stuff ready for tomorrow and the next day.

Today I'm making chex mix, clam dip, gingerbread cake for a trifle, and a batch of Pioneer Woman's cinnamon roll dough. I'm going to freeze the rolls, and pull them out Christmas morning for brunch.

In between all of that, I need to get the house "grandpa ready." Wish me luck!! I need to motivate all the kids to work hard!

I've had several messages from Jennifer this morning! Looks like these girls aren't waiting for Christmas. After pretty strong contractions 5-8 min apart, she went to the hospital about 1:45 at 5cm and 90% effaced. I'll let everyone know if I hear anything!

Jennifer's FB post: So thw twins are here. Julia was born at 5:31 weighs 6 lbs 5oz. Sabrina was born at 5:39 6lbs 3 oz

She says that she's a little sore, but doing well. Mostly glad the epidural is out as she didn't like how it made her feel.

I should get up and dressed and head the grocery for a last few minute items before it gets crazy out there. I think I'll stop at Dunkin Donuts and get my sister & niece(18 years old) gift cards to go into their tea wallets. I made some more Tuesday night. I have to take a photo of the one I made my Disney fanatic coworker-it is just black/red/yellow with white polka dots but super cute. She's going to love it.

On tap for today: I should make Joe a pillowcase, decorate ginger bread house with the kids, make cookies, and church at 6:30. Sounds doable!

I've got to get out after all too. I've got to drive Phil and Rachel to work (and can I help it if I just have to get chick-fil-a for breakfast while I'm there. I found a $10 off of $10 coupon for JCPenny's while I was cleaning yesterday so I may pop in there as well since I can't let free money go to waste. I also forgot something for the stocking Terra made her hamster. After that, we're in for the day.

In order of importance we're: dipping Oreo balls, making the cookie crust for fruit pizza, fudge, and pralines. Church is at 5 and then soups for Christmas Eve.

Welcome to the new babies!!!

Welcome home, Tammi!! Hope your trip was magical!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope your holidays are magic and bright!!!

We have spent the day cooking and are now ready to go to my sister's house for dinner. We elected to have our huge dinner tonight, and a small appetizer dinner tomorrow night! Hooray!!!

Kids are tracking Santa on NORAD, so we are keeping an eye on that, as well!

This was the first thing I saw when I turned on the computer and it made me smile :goodvibes

We headed over to my parent's house around 1:30 this afternoon. We spent the day playing games and opening presents then had a big prime rib dinner at 6 PM. It was nice and leisurely no rushing around :goodvibes. Now the boys are playing new video games. Nick got one for the PS3 and Colby one for the Wii (Hunter is playing with Colby). We've told them lights out at 10 PM ;)

Tomorrow we will do our tree and get things put away. We're having a turkey dinner at 5ish. We've invited my parents, Chris' Mom (maybe sister and boyfriend), my uncle and my great aunt and uncle. People that would probably be home alone. Should be nice and low key. (even if Chris' family comes :rolleyes1)

I hope you are all having wonderful Christmas's

Welcome home, Tammi!! Hope your trip was magical!
Thanks! It was! I'm thinking about doing a trip report here, but between this and FB, I'm figuring people are getting tired of hearing about it!

Merry Christmas, DDA!!

Tammi - I'd love to hear about the trip!

Glynis - Hope dinner was great last night.

Deb - Sounds like a nice night (and yummy!)

We had a nice quiet Christmas Eve with just Kristi's family, yummy soup and chili. We did all separate Christmas mornings this year and it was quite nice and quiet. Terra was the last one awake at about 8:45 as opposed to Kristi's kids who were up before 7. Kristi, etc are here now and we're waiting for Erin's family to do brunch and then open presents. Erin's in-laws are coming over around 3 for dinner. Should be pretty easy meal though because Erin's mother in law ordered almost everything from the grocery store. We've just got to heat and serve.

I heard from Jennifer this morning and they will not be going home today after all. She hemmoraged yesterday morning around 3am. The doctors were talking about maybe needing to do a D&C, but were able to get things stopped without it. She had a unit of blood last night and her hemoglobin count is up to 7.5 from 6.9. I'll keep everyone posted if I hear more.
