Sorry about the insurance hassle, I sure feel your pain. I think we got ours straightened out, but my daughter is supposed to have surgery on the 21st for a deviated septum, the insurance company is waveing on the pre certification, I told her to make sure they have it before anything is done, there is no way she can afford to pay out of pocket for the surgery.

Hope the preaproval comes soon.

Two days and a wake-up for me!!!

I'm really hoping is a very quiet day at work. My head is already on vacation, and I don't want to do anything today. Plus it's raining. Yuck. At least we aren't getting all the snow that seems to be blanketing the midwest. We are having our squad party/dinner/white elephant gift exchange after work tonight, so that should be fun.

Insurance sucks. We had a blue cross rep out our benefits meeting this week. Screening Mammograms and colon/rectal screenings are covered 100% you just pay the copay. Diagnostic mammograms or diagnostic colon/rectal are subject to the deductible and 20% thereafter. If an exam starts out as a screening, but then they do more making it diagnostic it changes from the copay to the deductible and 20%. Yearly obgyn visits are covered by just the copay until they do anything that gets sent to the lab then the deductible/20% applies to the lab work. They really get you coming and going

Oh, it will pick up from where our regular insurance left off. However, it can take up to 6 weeks for it to become "automatic" and until then, if anything happens we have to pay out of pocket and be reimbursed!

Hope it kicks in quickly but also that you won't need it!!!





In a funk today. Maybe I don't want to go back to work. I have a coworker driving me tomorrow. I can drive myself but she offered and I'm a bit worried I'll be exhausted by the end of the day so it will be nice to have a ride home.

I'm a bit worried about my foot. I had to change the bandage because it was falling off----because I had opened it up to put cream on the non wound portion of my foot before I scratched it off. I'm worried my doctor will be upset with me. Not sure if I should call his office tomorrow or just wait til I see him Friday. I don't really want to bug him tomorrow becasue he'll be crazy busy as he was on vacation last week. I think it is fine. It hurt last night but I over did it yesterday. I've been off of it today and it's feeling a lot better. But I'm in a funk because I have stuff I want to do.

We still have made no progress on the Christmas tree-tree is up but no decorations have been brought out. I can't get them out of the under eves storage and certainly can't carry them down the stairs....

Thanks! Today is the 43rd anniversary of my Dad's death. I'm sure that and yesterday aren't helping my funk but I think I'm a bit aprehensive about going back to work.

I just made Lizzy's pillowcase. The photo isn't great. I need to charge my camera battery. That did help the funk a bit.

Here is Emma's paw prints. Lizzy's fabric is cute but Emma's fabric is a lot nicer. I think she'll like that it matches her Halloween costume.

and since I'm posting photos....I might as well share the jumper I made my great niece. I think she and her Mom will like the corduroy in MN.

and here are the bracelets Lizzy & I made for her Aunt, cousins, friends. We thought they might all enjoy a bit of a reminder of the beach. She laid them out I just did the crimps to put the closures on.

I would like to do a bit more tonight but I think I better quit now so I don't start off work with a sore foot.

Bernadette, those bracelets are beautiful! I like the pillowcases and jumper, too. I usually do a pillowcase for my kids for Christmas, but I haven't even thought about that yet this year.

My foot has good days and bad days....tonight the top of it is throbbing and I have no idea why.

Yesterday I took Abi shopping...supposedly for others Christmas shopping...really it was for her. We did get some presents (Is it horrible that Abi picked a $5 shirt for her dad and doesn't want to give him more and I am okay with it?). But I made sure she got her Christmas dress. She also got boots, shirts, socks. I could not convince her to let me get her a coat but I am thrilled with what I did get her.

I also got tennis shoes and warm jammies...we live the high life don't we??

Tomorrow is wrapping day!!

well we spent the day at my moms because we woke up to having no power. it was off for over an hour then came back on for about 15 min. then went off again. so my parents came over and got us and took us to their house. the girls had fun going for a walk with my dad, baking cookies and playing in the leaves. we just got home. a friend that lives in the neighbor hood sent me a text around 10 that power was back on.

Survived my first day back at work. I was dreading Excel training from 12:30 to 4:30 today but it was really great. They brought in an outside trainer. We'll go back tomorrow from 9:00 to 1:00 for more training. I had a coworker drive me today-I was happy not to have to drive home. She'll drive me tomorrow and offered Wednesday also.

My foot feels tight (swollen) tonight. I've got it up and iced.
