Kristine - I think she's shy. She was so excited, at first, but now she's reconsidered, and is being shy.
It's an early morning here, but I need to get myself ready for bowling, and the kids out the door to school. We had a great night last night. Jacob and I had pack meeting, and the whole family went. Jacob (and 6 of my other Webelos) worked so hard this past summer, that they were all able to receive their Arrow of Light award. For those not in to Scouting, this is the highest award a Cub Scout can get, and the only award that they can keep on their Boy Scout uniform, after they leave cubs! It was a really special night. We had a special presenter there, and our cub master went all out, and ordered a special cake for the night. It was really neat to see all "my" boys all uniformed up, and taking this so seriously! It was also neat to see the faces of the younger boys, full of awe as they watched the whole ceremony! Just wonderful!!!
Well, today, after bowling, Alan and I are taking Timothy to look for "big boy beds." He absolutely will not go into his crib anymore. He will climb out of it onto the dresser and jump to the floor. We moved the dresser, but he still manages to climb out. No matter how many times I put him back in, he gets out. On Monday night we did that 15 times. Finally, I think he realized I was serious, so he stood in his crib, screaming at the top of his lungs until he triggered his gag reflex and threw up all over the bed. It happened again Tuesday and Wednesday, as well, so we are going to get rid of the crib, and try a toddler bed. Wish us luck! We need some sleep!
