Kristine - good thoughts for you today!

Tia - Welcome home. Can't wait to see pictures. You should be proud of your little helper! :goodvibes:

Debbie - I'm sorry that you are continuing to have problems. I was hoping that you were doing better.

I'm sorry everyone is suffering setbacks in their search for employment, but given our economy's current situation, it's not surprising. It does remind me of the college conversation that was going on a few weeks back. Competition is HIGH! Schools, employers, etc are being inundated with applications. They will only take the best of the best applicants, the ones that appear the most marketable. Everyone needs to be better than excellent these days! Continued prayers for you all that some door opens in the near future.

Kristine - You and Jenna are in my prayers today!

Tia - Welcome home! Can't wait to see Deva!!

Debbie - Sorry about all the RA stuff and the MRI, however, it's best to know, than to suffer without knowing why! Prayers for you, too!!!

I'm off to scout training this morning. Should be fun! They've changed the entire cub scouting program, so we're going to be trained on the new stuff.

Kristine just posted a picture on FB, Jenna is here :goodvibes

Congratulations to you & your family!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems it's time...

My water broke....this is a first for me. It was a shocker! So I'm packing up my last minute stuff and off we go to L & D. I was calm up to now....now I'm trying not to freak out! Will keep you posted.

YEAH!!! Congratulations. She's beautiful!!

Welcome home Tia, can't wait to see baby Deva

Kristine - I'll be thinking of you and waiting to hear of Jenna's arrival

Deb - hang in there, I'm positive things will work out for you

Tammi - my shoulder is much better than it was before surgery, but I still don't have full use of it and still have pain, the next step would be a shoulder replacement but I can live with where it is for now, that's something that will only be done as a last resort.

Right now I'm having some tests done for RA and other things, in the past five years I've gone from having no problems with arthritis to have problems with my feet, knees, hips, shoulders, hands, and neck. I've also been having some problems with my vision, and numbness in my face so I'm having an MRI done on my brain Friday. I'm pretty bummed about all this, I just got all the bills from he surgery taken care of and here we go again.

Good luck on the tests. I hope they can give you some answers. :grouphug:

Tia - Sounds like things are going as planned. Welcome home!! I am glad that Terra is so excited to be a big sister. Hope Phil is also as excited. ;) Have fun with your new family. :goodvibes

He's beyond thrilled! He's reverted back to a bigger nervous daddy again, but still a little better, I think. He's at work now and anxious to be home already.

So beautiful!!! Congratulations!!!

Congratulations Kristen!!! Can't wait to see photos of Jenna here!

Anne Marie-hope you're feeling better and taking care of yourself!

Debbie-so sorry to hear your shoulder is still bothering you. I had dinner with my boss from 19 years ago last Friday. She's had a shoulder replaced and both knees, I think only 1 hip and most recently both ankles. Ankle replacement is new-not too many doctors will do that one.

Lots of :wizard::wizard::wizard: for everyone looking for a job. I wouldn't want to be looking. I'm sure my problem would be that I've been with one company for too long. We are actually hiring a few people at my office. The hiring staff were saying that HR didn't like their choice candidate because she was "too prepared".:confused3 That was who they gave the offer to anyways. They were still waiting to see if she accepted the offer.

Deb-do you have on your resume that you produced the menus? Don't let that head hunter get you down.

Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures of your family, Tia.

Crazy busy week last week. I was working 10+ hour days and taking work home. Plus I had 2 school open houses. This time of year is always crazy but seems worse this year with my being out right at the start of all this plus upper management has decided that all they have to do is say "we will make $20,000,000. more by 2013" and it will happen. We just have to "change the culture of the organization". So all the mid level managers are going crazy. Oh and we recently had an organizational change so folks are trying to do budgets for areas they've never been responsible for before. I'm trying to be careful not to be seen as a nay sayer. I'm glad I'm not really the one who has to do it-I just report on what has happen and try to forecast for it.

So the next few weeks should be interesting-especially with the VP of Finance out after his surgery. They've hooked up one of the conference rooms with video conferencing so he can join us that way. I think him being home will just give him more time to review the data and ask even more questions.

Won't be too long though-budgets are review with the Board of Director's finance committee in late Oct/early Nov and the full board votes on it at their meeting 11/12. Just a ton of work to do between now & then.

Lizzy goes on her week long field trip Monday. I will be chaperoning on Thursday night-I can join them for dinner at 5pm but need to be there by 7pm and stay until 7am. I don't think I'll be able to get off work early enough to join them at 5pm-it must be at least 40 miles from my office. I'm really hoping that the kids will be tired by then but it will be their last night so who knows....

I was thinking I might try to make Lizzy some PJ pants and pillowcase but haven't quite had the motivation yet today. I did bring Emma for a much needed hair cut this afternoon. Maybe I will at least look at my fabrics today. Looks like the kids are in for a wet week. It has so beautiful and now it look like they will have mostly rain. I guess we better pack a few extra sets of clothes.

Beautiful pictures, Tia! She's adorable, and so is Terra!! You look amazing! How come I'm the only woman in the world who looks like crap after giving birth!?!?

Kristine - Jenna is beautiful!!! Hope you are doing well!!

MRI's scare the crap out of me after what was found on Hunter's  I truly hope they see nothing on yours:wizard:

Deb - I just read this article and immediately thought of you. Hope it helps!

She is beautiful. You all look so happy. I don't think I've ever seen a picture of Phil. He's handsome ;) I hope you're enjoying every second with that precious little one:goodvibes

Where is Lizzy going on her field trip? Give yourself a break on the sewing. I'm sure she has lots of great things to take and you need to rest up for your busy week ahead.

Now I need to hit facebook to read about Jenna:goodvibes

Thanks for all the well wishes! It's been a crazy day. My water broke at 4:45 am. Called the doc then headed in to the shower and packed up some last minute stuff. Checked into the hospital at 6:00 am and she was born at 9:01. It was unbelieveably quick. I'm thrilled I did it via VBAC and I feel pretty good. She weighed 6 pounds 3 ounces, 19.5 inches. Lots of dark hair. Cord was wrapped around her neck twice....that was scary. Other than that it was a perfect delivery and we are over the moon in joy. Will post pics when we get home.

I just checked FB. Jenna is gorgeous :goodvibes She doesn't look at all premature. I'm glad that everything went quickly and smoothly Kristine. I remember the Doctor walking into my room after Nick's birth. I had a horrible pregnancy and she was concerned that I would have Postpartum Depression. I remember telling her that after the pregnancy I had the delivery was the easiest part and I was experiencing postpartum Jubilation:goodvibes I'm willing to bet that you know exactly what I mean. She was worth every miserable moment and is one lucky girl:thumbsup2

We went to the Big E today. It was so crowded. People say that WDW gets crowded, but this was so much worse. You could literally only take 1/2 steps all day and if the person in front of you stopped you were certain to bump into them. I haven't been in 30 years and I think I can go another 30 years before my next trip :lmao: It was a new experience for Chris and the boys and something different to do, but all in all it was expensive and HOT
