Five weeks from tonight, I'll be at the MNSSHP party. Terry & Stephanie will also be there! Chuck & I are running the 5k on Saturday morning as well. We are looking forward to that too. I need to work on getting in shape and lose some weight. I'm back to within a couple of pounds of my heaviest weight. This is where I got the last time when I got motivated and lost the 25 pounds. I kept it off for more than 2 years and then slowly crept back up. Time to get serious about it again.

My weight is creeping up again too. I'm hoping the new biggest loser challenge starts soon. They hold me accountable and I need that.

I got as much done today as I could. We are selling the bed Olivia currently has now. It has 3 built in drawers that are very small. My aunt gave us a bed frame, box springs and mattress. Once we sell her current bed, then I can have Jeff move in the toy shelf he built for them. It is going to go at the foot of Olivia's bed. I have some Lithograph's I want to get framed and hang on their wall.

Sounds like you are staying productive.

Our old camper does not have an outdoor kitchen. That will prove itself very valuable. We are also having a cable jack put in out there that way we can take a TV out and watch the race or Big Game or movie etc. That little fridge will be perfect for drinks and the kids won't have to track in everytime they need a beverage. Chris will set up a little coffee station out there too.:goodvibes
When I saw it on the video my immediate thought was what a great idea that is! Liked the outdoor speakers too.

There is nothing good on TV tonight (I only get 8 decent channels) so I'm watching Disney videos on YouTube.
It is hot again here so Joe, Emma & I watched Goofy Movie in our bedroom-the only room with AC. Now we are watching a special on Goofy.

They want to say good night to Daddy before going to bed. He told Joe he'd be home at 7:30. Don't know how he thought he'd be home then. The performance started at 2:30 and it is 140+ miles from MIL's house then it is a 45 minute drive home from there. I won't worry until at least 11pm but Joe is not happy because he wants to go to bed and DH told him he'd be home at 7:30. I'm sure he didn't get back to MIL's house until 8pm and then he'll probably have something to eat there. I wish I had heard him tell Joe he would be home at 7:30 so I could have gotten him to admit that was just crazy.

Becky-I took photos of the monorail USB. It lights up when plugged in. And has wheels on the bottom.

I can't remember if I posted a photo of the edible arrangement my coworkers sent me:

Bernadette, good luck with the pin removal! Sounds like a good shopping day, minus the flat tire. LOVE the monorail USB!! DS has to have one for school, but he just has a plain one. In fact, he has 2 plain ones because I bought him a new one at Staples without knowing the old one only had ONE document on it.

Vicki, yay for your shorts! That is a great bargain!

Jennifer, sounds like things are moving right along in the girls' room! We are still missing DS's bed. Rumor has it we could have it by the end of this week.
Glad your dad is doing a bit better.

Deb, good luck to Nick on his first day of high school! :wizard:

DS LOVES his school. LOVES it. But we are having some epic battles over homework and staying organized. He has 9 different courses so there is A LOT going on. He hasn't figured out that he HAS TO do things as they are assigned instead of putting them off until they are due. He was mad that I made him finish an essay today that is due Tuesday. I am strongly encouraging him to use his planner and write down EVERYTHING, because even though I verbally go class by class with him every day he still forgets things.

He seems OK riding the bus. He likes most of his teachers (the Costume instructor is VERY stern and strict, the Math teacher is dull, the Geography teacher mumbles, the others are fine). I think he may join the Film Club, and he is already talking about going to a dance at school next month. He NEVER wanted to go to a dance in middle school. He is definitely in his element. He has made a few new friends. I am sure he will get to know a lot more kids in the next few weeks. Since they are on an A/B schedule he has only been to his A classes 3 times and his B classes twice.

One year Lizzy lost 3 USB's in less than a week. We found them all in the end. Last year she was able to save things to the schools network and access files from that at home-no USB's to loose.

It is so wonderful that DS is so happy!!!! Sounds perfect for him.

Bernadette, I hope the pin removal goes good for you. The pin in my foot didn't want to come out at first.

Well I wasn't worry about at all until now. I'm still not worried. I just want it out.

Did you do both feet? Did you drive right away after pin removal on the right foot?

When DH got home he asked me if I did any laundry. I still walk down the stairs one step at a time. I'm not going to carry laundry down to the basement.

Hello everyone! No, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. I must admit that I am cheating on you with the cruise thread. :flower3::flower3::flower3:

Just wanted to stop and say hi. Can't wait to see you Vicki and Elin! Nice camper Deb.

I watched some of the Spike Lee documentary today and thought of you Debbie.:hug::hug:

Jennifer and Kristine, let's hear it for the girls!!!princess:princess:princess:

Give your ds a high five from me Elizabeth. Sounds like he's in his element.

Nice classroom Jen.

Feel better Bernadette. Where did you get the cute monorail usb? Too cute!!

Becky, hope your feeling stronger soon. We only have 18 more days!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

I still go down stairs one at a time...Abi is my designated laundry carrier. I think I will probably be going down one at a time for a long time to come.

Elizabeth-so glad HS is going so great for DS....Abi is counting on all A's this semester...told her to not be so cocky. I need to figure out a USB drive (what they call pen drives here) for Abi. Abi has classes in each of the 5 buildings on the campus so she didn't get a locker. It will be interesting when it's raining or snowing out and she has nowhere to put her coat. We still have not figured out the whole "go" period of her schedule...maybe it will make sense soon.

Cassidy starts school tomorrow...first time in 14 years I won't be there for the first day. She and my sister went up to Colorado this weekend for the funeral of my great uncle. He passed away very quickly on Wednesday after a very short illness and a heart attack while in the hospital. It has reminded everyone that my Uncle Mike has a death sentence with his lung cancer.:guilty:

Didn't mean to scare you but felt you should be forewarned. In 1976 I had my right foot done and just to see the difference, I was in the hospital for 5 days. They took me in the operating room to do the procedure!!! I had a cast on my foot for 6 weeks.

Forward to 1994 and I decided to have the procedure done in the DR's office. He was a family friend and I wanted him to do the procedure instead of someone else who would have put me in 'twilight sleep'. My daughter took me and by time I got home, I was in a little pain, but I made sure I took the pain pills every 4 hours to manage the pain. Even over night I set the alarm. I had a very unique shoe with just a velcro strap over the top and it was bandaged up and I had to change the dressing every day and also do exercises so the big toe would still bend for me. I could not drive for 6 weeks but could go out if I felt like it which I didn't. Hal did everything for me unless I felt like making supper. The kids helped a lot too.

Theresa so sorry about your uncle.

Theresa, good luck to Abi and Cassiday today! :wizard: Sorry to hear about your great uncle. DS only has 2 buildings at school - the "old" building where the academic classes, art gallery and little theater are, and the "new" building where the library, cafeteria, and arts classrooms are. He does have a locker, and the walkway between the buildings is covered, so it isn't as bad as it could be. Abi's school sounds more like a college campus!

Debbie, Our news coverage has been all about Katrina and New Orleans. I can see how the folks in Mississippi would feel slighted!

Stephanie, the cruise will be here before you know it! :cool1:

I've never heard pen drive. Around here it's zip drive or thumb drive usually. We may have an extra one. If you need it, let me know.
