Becky, I am so happy to hear your path results were clear! :thumbsup2 I hope your pain is gone soon!

The oven mitts and the tumblers and coasters are super cute! I don't need any stuff like that, but I do like them. :)

So dad had a good Dr.s appt. yesterday. The Lung Dr. said his lungs looked good. That it was this bout of pneumonia that zapped his strength and was causing the oxygen to need to be higher, for now. She said the heat caused the Pneumonia. As he is bored sitting in the house so he goes outside then gets to hot so goes back in the cold house. The Dr wants to see him again in 3 months and wants a CT scan right before she sees him.

I'm glad that his lungs looked good and he's right back home! Hopefully the weather will cool off a little so that he can get out a little more and still be healthy. :wizard:

DH took me to the doctor Friday and saw my foot for the first time. He was a bit surprised how nice it looked. I got the doctor to agree to take the pin out Friday. I think I can make it.

DH went to a dermatologist Friday. He nicked himself shaving a few months ago and it just won't heal. They took a biopsy. It looks like it must have hurt. He'll have to go to a specialist if he needs more removed.

We all went to the outlets yesterday. The kids are all growing like weeds. Lizzy likes Levi jeans but they are a lot cheaper at Kohl's than the outlet. Joe's the tough one to buy for and he only had 1 pair of pants that fit him. We got him a few pairs and a 3 in 1 jacket at Columbia. DH got pants and even a pair of jeans. He hasn't worn jeans in about 20 years. I think that might be why Joe won't wear them. He also got 3 pairs of shoes at Bass-they were buy 1 get 2 free. Got Lizzy shoes there too.

But the best part was that I called my sister who lives about 15 minutes from there and she and my 17 yo niece met us for lunch. Was great to see them. She told me she had been in the hospital and needs surgery to remove a piece of her large intestine. She'll be in the hospital for about 5 days and out of work for about 6 weeks. They haven't scheduled it yet.

On the way home just as we got off the highway we got a flat tire on the run flat tires. Last time I got a flat in the run flat you wouldn't even know it was flat except for the light on the dash. This time you knew something was wrong. We made it home but we'll have to get it towed to get new tires. I guess there isn't a huge rush since I can't drive so DH can use my car but we also can't easily get it fixed with just one driver.

DH went to Tanglewood with his sister from St Louis today. Hope he has a great time. He's not big into long car rides but it will be nice for him to spend time with his sister.

 for getting the pin out soon. :wizard: for DH that he does not need more removed. yeah on the shopping. Boo for the flat tire.

We got a nice wooden toddler bed on craigs list on Friday for Virginia. It took me about 45 minutes to get it put together. Just finished eating some lunch so its back to working on the room.

Becky - glad to hear your results were good

Jennifer - glad to hear your dad is doing better

Jen - Great job on your classroom

Congrats on a great game Nicholas!

5 years ago today we were sitting here in a boarded up house, listening to our roof blow off and wondering what we would face when it had passed. As far as Katrina went we were very fortunate, but many of our friends and family were not. Thanks to many volunteers that came afterwards, and people banding together, everyone I know who lost everything has now rebuilt or relocated, although for some it hasn't been long.

Here's Jim Cantore talking about the forgotten coast, he was here when the storm hit, I wasn't "really" scared until someone asked him what those who had not evacuated should do, and his answer was "Get on your knees and pray", that's a moment in time that I will never forget.

I went shopping to Salvation Army today as I happened to find it as I was just meandering in the car. I'm so happy that I found it. I have a favorite pair of American Eagle shorts. I've had them for about 5 years. They are very, very comfortable and I like the way they fit. I should have thrown them out a year or so ago but just haven't been able to bring myself to do it. I do just wear them camping now.

Well, I found an exact duplicate in my size at Salvation Army!!!! And ... they were 75% off because green tags were on clearance. I got a perfectly wonderful pair of replacement shorts for my favorite pair for $1.25. Woohoo!!! :woohoo: Now I have everything I need for my Disney trip.

Wow Becky 2 1/2 gallons of fluid :scared1: That was huge. I'm glad that your feeling better and that it was not cancerous.

Bernadette I'm sure you can't wait to get the pin out. Continue taking it easy. The shopping trip sounded very productive. :wizard: DH's biopsy is okay.

Vicki great deal on the shorts

Nicholas Great Game

Jen the sight of the steel must have been amazing :goodvibes

Jennifer The girls room shoulds beautiful, fit for a princes, can't wait to see pictures.

Elin the hummingbirds are so magical. I've only seen an actual one here once.

Anyone heard from Kristine?

Elizabeth how is high school going?

We had a good weekend. We ended up going to the dealer that we bought our camper from and have decided to trade in our current one on a brand new one. The boys have really outgrown our current one and the new one will fit us nicely. The boys will even have room for friends which was not the case with our current one. Here is the video of the new one, though it is not at the dealership that we're buying from

We came home and had to take everything out of the camper as we need to bring the old and pick up the new on Friday.

Nick starts High School tomorrow. We just found out this afternoon that it will take him almost 2 hours to get home from school on the bus. Apparently the bus makes 2 runs and his is the second run. Now we're trying to figure out how to either pick him up or find him a ride every day. If I'm not working I can get him, but if I'm subbing at school or if I find a job it could be tricky. Chris will drop him off at school in the morning as it is only a couple of miles from his work and Nick's classes start 25 minutes before Chris starts work. He could take the bus too as it only takes 30 minutes to get to school.

We went to a corn maze yesterday. Chris and Nick figured it out in 42 minutes. I had Hunter and Colby and if we hadn't been given hints (well actually specific directions :rotfl:) we'd still be lost in the maze now. Very confusing.

So my living room is full of totes that are full of camper stuff, what a mess it will be for the next week. Oh well, not much I can do about it. I'm also washing all the linens. We don't have another camping trip planned though Chris would like to go once more in the new camper if we can schedule something.

WOW! Cool outdoor kitchen. Does your old camper have that?

Our old camper does not have an outdoor kitchen. That will prove itself very valuable. We are also having a cable jack put in out there that way we can take a TV out and watch the race or Big Game or movie etc. That little fridge will be perfect for drinks and the kids won't have to track in everytime they need a beverage. Chris will set up a little coffee station out there too.:goodvibes

I have to admit that I loved that outdoor kitchen. The bedroom looks very similar to ours. The table and couch is also in the same layout as ours.

Our current camper only has a small slideout for the couch. The super slide will give us so much room

Having the kids or at least 2 of them in their own room on the opposite side of the camper will be nice. As it is now we have to tiptoe around them in the mornings.

I am suffering from sticker shock over the price of sheets for V bunks. I think I'll be modifying some walmart sheets :lmao:

Our bunk beds are on the opposite end of the trailer. However, we didn't get it until they were adults so haven't been with us much.
