Yeah for close trips Heidi and Tammi! More living vicariously coming up for me! ;)

Deb - A belated Happy Birthday to Hunter!

Marci - Our prayers are continuing always! I hope the node biopsies are clear and you can do everything in one step.

Debbie - Congrats to your DD! I'm sorry about the cut backs. :(

Anne Marie - Sounds like a fun weekend!

Well, the words "No Ma'am" have reentered my vocabulary today. Yup, the 2yo is back. She is doing better, but we're having to re-remember some of the rules - particularly the "no mouth" one. The story from mom yesterday was that she opened an ice cream carton with her mouth yesterday morning and then went to get a spoon - she was allowed just one bite. So, guess that means the "no mouth" thing isn't being enforced at home even though mom has been happy that I was working on it because the Parents as Teachers person mentioned it as being an issue/problem almost a year ago. Ah well, at least she's fairly calm and we've only had one time out. lol. Plus, Deva's sleeping well this morning so I've gotten stuff done as well.

Now to get some breakfast before Deva wakes up and I find myself forgetting to eat again. (Still can't understand how that happens, but it does. :( )

Hi all.

Marci, you know I'm praying for you!:hug::hug:

Heidi - Your trip is so close, which means mine is getting closer! I'm glad you don't have to move after one night.

Marci, I will keep you in my prayers. Sorry, I'm not any help with soup recipes. My mother makes some great soups. I'll ask her what she makes that freezes well.

Hunter, happy birthday a day late!

Debbie, I hope that things start looking up for you soon!

It's that wonderful time of year when I try to figure out my preschoolers' gifts to their parents. I have a small class this year, so I can spend more on each. I am thinking of getting a photo mat with a wide border that they can decorate and framing a photo that I take. If you were getting something like that, would you prefer a Christmas theme to take out every Christmas or a general theme that could be left out year-round? In some ways, I think a Christmas theme would be really cute, but in other ways, I think that one that could be left out might be more useful. I have ideas for a Christmas theme and no ideas (yet) for a general theme. This is a church-run preschool, and all the families do celebrate Christmas. Also, the 11x14 mat (for an 8x10) photo is nice and big for decorating. Do you think that's too big, though?

I also have to figure out what to give the kids from my co-teacher and me. We always get a book or two from the Scholastic catalog (that the school pays for). Then I usually make something. Last year it was tote bags and I Spy bags. I could do that again, but if you think of something cute (and not too difficult), I'd be happy for a change. :-)

Thanks for any input!

Marci- Good luck :wizard::hug: to you and your family

Deb- The new cupboard looks great.

Debbie-Congrats to your daughter, sorry about your husband's job.

Tia- Hope the 2 year old behaves

I have been very busy ever since I got back from my trip. I have been working 6 days each week. I drove an average of about 100 miles every day for the last week. I am sick of the daily drive it is time wasting. I could be doing more productive things with that time. Then when I am not working I have no motivation to do anything else. So I am accomplishing hardly anything.

Sorry for the vent.

I hope everyone else is doing well.

2 weeks early. That is such a lucky blessing for you :cool1:

My favorite preschool gift was a poster with the hand prints of each boy. There is a poem in the center. Chris is sleeping now or I would post the poem. I framed it and have it on my wall.

Marci- Good luck :wizard::hug: to you and your family

I remember how much you wanted to work for the girl scouts, but it sounds like this job isn't what you had hoped for  Is there a similar postition in Florida? I know that you'd love to live there.

It seems that life has already kicked into over drive. My to do list for this week is bigger than what I have time to do. Oh well. I got the budget done and bills paid today and took Hunter to his well child visit. He's doing great, nothing to worry about. I did find out that boys can now have the Hpvc (I think that's right ) vaccine that is contraversial with girls. It is a 3 shot series and since he is so needle phobic we've decided to hold off for now. It is actually for girls protection, not so much for boys.

I worked tonight. It has certainly started to slow down since foliage is over.

Tomorrow Nick has his well child visit, I need to get to the bank, I need to start a project or two here, and work again tomorrow night. Busy Busy. I do feel like I've got our house a bit better organized which is so important given that I'm going from working 20-30 hours per week to 50+ starting next week. Organization is the only way I'll ever survive.

I see that I was the last to post last night and first this morning. Everyone must be busy thesee days. I need to hit the bank before I pick Nick up for his appt. I need to meet my cousin after his appt to pick up some more purses that she's making. They've been selling very well at AJ's. Then I can come home and potentially get something started here before I have to go to work tonight. I hope everyone has a great day.

Deb - Trying to juggle a full time job with active children is probably the hardest thing a Mom has to face. Your boys are older, and although that sometimes means more activities, they are old enough to understand that your time has to be divided. You are also extremely fortunate to have your family close. That cushion is not something everyone has to fall back on in an emergency.

I have every confidence you will figure out how to make this major change in your life work for your family. :goodvibes

Theresa - I was so glad to read that you get to start work two weeks ahead of time. I guess your "final test" came back clean as a whistle. ;) :rotfl: Congratulations again, my friend!

Morning, all!

Deb - I have every confidence in you! You will be able to figure out this whole working mother thing!!

Theresa - Congrats on starting your job early!! I know how badly you have been wanting to work! Good luck with everything. I am praying that your ankle/foot holds up well here!

Becky - I'm sorry that the job is not what you had hoped it would be. Good luck with everything.

I hate to even mention this, but I woke up to snow outside!!! Not much, but it's definitely there. Grrr! I was hoping this would hold off until after Halloween.

Good morning, DDA!

Becky - I hope things improve and slow down for you at work. Our DCM's have recently changed to only going to 4 meetings for each of their district and neighborhoods (service team) meetings a year as opposed to every month with every group. Of course they still have lot of events and other things they have to do, but I know that's saved them some driving and night meetings. I hope you guys have some changes like that to help as well.

Glynis - I must say, I'm thoroughly enjoying fall so I would have to recind my summer desperation message of "I'd be happy to have snow now."

Theresa - Yea for and earlier start!!!!

Deb - I know you can do it!!!

We had flurries the other day. Thankfully we've come out of the cold snap at least for a couple of days. It is nearly 70 today :goodvibes

Nick's appointment took nearly 2 hours :headache: They wanted to be sure that the frequent dizziness/blackouts that he has are not health related. She was confident that it wasn't heart related and Nick has agreed to give up caffiene (soda) for 2 months to see if things improve. If he doesn't see a big improvement we'll need to have him see a neurologist at the beginning of the new year. We may also need to get his eyes checked, but we did it less than a year ago :confused3 when the ped office thought he needed glasses. The eye doctor said the peds office equipment was miscalibrated. We'll have vision coverage starting Dec 1 so we'll wait until then for sure.

Belated Birthday Wishes Hunter!!!

Marci-continued prayers.

Deb-you can do it! Good luck to Nick-hope that helps!

Becky-sorry things aren't going well at work.

Tia-good luck with your charge!

Theresa-yay for starting work earlier!

Anne Marie-thanks for mentioning the wii basketball. I looked for it at the new target down the street from my office but couldn't find it then saw it in a basket near the register and got it for the $19.99.:thumbsup2

Janet-Target has Wii Fit on sale for $77 this week.

Last week I went to the dentist for a cleaning and he found a cracked tooth-from grinding/clenching due to stress. He asked me if it hurt and I said no but he kept poking around at it. He gave me an appointment for 11/4 for the start of a crown. I called today to say it was really hurting.:headache: He's sending me to a specialist tomorrow. I really don't have time for this. Plus Joe & Emma's parent/teacher conferences plus scout parties plus still crazy busy at work...at this rate I may crack a few more teeth....
