Somewhere I missed who Mark is? I'm so glad that you are some place where you have the support that you need. It sounds like this move is definitely starting off on the right foot.

Sorry that Grandma is not making things easy from afar. :grouphug: My recommendation: do NOT read future letters if you suspect it is negative. I realize that you may need to reply for your sanity but try to take her power to hurt you away.

Mark is my mom's husband and works for the Dept. Of Transportation in Human Resources...been a rough couple of weeks for him.

You are right about the power...I am mainly answering her because she questioned my sanity. There won't be any more letters read or answered in this house.

Thank you all for your support.

Paula-how nice to see you!:wave2:

Jen-congrats on your new smile!

Tammi-yay for new purchases!

Tia-continued prayers for your family.

Thank you all for your support.

:hug:I don't think I would give her the satisfaction of an answer to that letter either. Won't it drive her more crazy if you don't respond at all?

Thanks for the update and the pictures, Paula!

Tia... you really are pregnant!!! :rotfl:

We went mattress shopping tonight while Lizzy was at basketball. I paid a small fortune for the mattress we have now that is about 8 years old and have hated pretty much since day 1. I really need to get a new mattress before my surgery. Well I really just need a new mattress! I'm nervous after our last experience.

It is really hard to decide. They all start to feel the same after a while and they of course all feel so much better than what we have now.

So I looked at some reviews of the mattress we looked at and there are lots of lousy reviews of both the mattress and Sleepys. So I look at Simmons Black Beautyrest that I tried at another place at lunch and there are lots of negative reviews on those too.

We had lousy luck with our Stearns & Foster.

Now I'm afraid to buy anything again.

Anyone love their mattress? What do you have?

We have a memory foam mattress. I think it is a generic version. We love it.

Hi Paula!

Bernadette - I have a waterbed, but I think the kids' mattresses are Mattress Warehouse Spine Bracer Serenades. I didn't get the bottom of the line, nor the top. Somewhere in the middle, with a pillow top. I don't sleep on them, but when I lay down with them I think they are quite comfy.

Good Morning

Good luck with the mattress search Bernadette, I've got to get back to working on my home improvements around here, after I finished the Pink room my shoulder really started giving me fits so things came to a hault, the last bedroom desperately needs to be done, the carpet has got to go and the flooring in it's bathroom also needs replacing. Right now my arm is still shaky when I extend it so I'm not sure how well that would work with painting, :lmao:.

I have my 6 week follow up appointment today, I'm afraid it won't be my last, as the pain is still there and I don't have full use of my arm yet, it's not so bad that unless I showed you what I can't do you would not notice. He said I would never regain full use of the arm so I may be where I'm going to stay.

My BIL's father passed away yesterday, he lost a long battle with lung cancer, so we may have services to attend this weekend.

I'm sorry for your loss, Debbie. I hope you have good news at your appt. today!

Thanks for the update and the pictures, Paula!

Tia... you really are pregnant!!! :rotfl:

That I am! Ellie's lower angle picture helped highlight it a bit, but in the last week or so my belly really popped out.

Morning, all!

We are leaving in a couple of hours for my dad's house. I'll be back on Tuesday evening. I'm hoping to be able to check in while I'm down there, so I don't fall too far behind!

Bernadette - We have an Intelligel mattress. It's a local company here in Utah. It's the best bed we've ever had! I hope it never wears out!

Tia - I loved the pictures of you and Paula! What fun to meet up!

Paula - It's nice to see you around here, too! Keep popping in!

Theresa - Good luck with grandma! Just don't give her the power to hurt you. Sometimes, ignoring is the best answer. Of course, only you know how best to handle her. How did the interview go?

Gotta run start packing the car and waking kids up. See y'all on Tuesday, if not before! Have a great holiday weekend!

Bernadette - I have no idea what our mattresses are. :rotfl: I know that Bob and I need a new one, but that will have to wait until fall. I tell you what... you be the guinea pig and try them all out and then let me know which one I should buy!

Debbie - Good luck at your appointment today. I am also sorry to hear of the loss in your family.

I'm sorry for your loss  I've heard of way too many cases of lung cancer lately :sad1: I hope your appointment goes well. I also hope that the prognosis on not getting full use back is wrong :wizard:

Nothing big on tap for me today. Good thing as I need to clean my house. I bought the boys the new Harry Potter game for the PS3 yesterday and they are totally enthralled. I suspect I won't see a lot of them today. It is still rather cold and overcast here so we certainly won't be heading to the pool today.

Glynis have a nice visit with your Dad.

Did Jen make it to her destination safely? She's at WDW right?

Good morning, DDA!

Just dropped my car off for a potential $1000 repair. :scared: :scared: I tried to find ways around it, but there's just not another choice right now. The technician that I really like was at the desk when I came in and he is going to see what he can do about the price. At the very least I knows there's a $50 service coupon he can put on. He was going to check and see about finding the parts a little cheaper as well. At least this is the first major repair on a car we didn't pay anything for to begin with. Makes it a lot more tolerable though just a three digit price in the end would go over a lot better than four digits even if it is in the 900s.

Today we clean! My aunt and family plus my uncles friends and his two boys are staying with us this weekend for their annual baseball trip. My uncle and his friend pick some different city to see a ballgame in each year and decided to come here this year. I thought that we had most of tomorrow to get ready as well, but now our family will be here around 3am so I guess not. Luckily, it's nothing hard left to be done, but lots of little stuff - bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, pool vacuuming, etc.

Guess I'd better go get to it since I've got a lunch meeting at noon plus we're going to Erin's for fireworks tonight. Have a great day everyone!

Glynis - Have a nice visit with your dad.

we just payed $1875 for fixing our family Mini van.. and then bought two tires on top but we had tread left on the previous tires so with discounts those two were only $104 but .. like you we have not put any money into it in a very long time and we have had it for over 10 years. who knows maybe 10 years from now I will still have it :)
