does anyone remember the dates that Disney usually increases their ticket prices? Want to know what date I would have to order from undercover tourist by if Disney does not offer a decent Package.

Have any of you seen the Dish network commercial with the guy from the Disney Planning DVD. He was in the one with Stacy and was the "relaxed" guy. There were 4 specialists in the Disney DVD. Every time I hear his voice, I think of Disney.

When were you at the Poly in 1988? We were there at the beginning of June for our honeymoon. (We were married May 28th but didn't leave for a couple of days.) It's funny, because I was the same way watching them building the GF and saying that's where I wanted to go. Now it's not anywhere the top of my list, though we never stayed there. I just would much rather stay at some of the other resorts.

We were there in May. :goodvibes

Yesterday was such a beautiful day. Everything went so nice. I am so happy with the picture that I had done of Alyssa. I will post more "family" pictures later, if anyone wants to see them.

She is absolutely exquisite!!!!

Hope you all had a nice Mother's Day! We had a nice weekend here. :goodvibes

We had a quiet day. It was very cold here and spit snow or sprinkled during the day. It was nice to have the weekend off. I don't work tomorrow either, but I'll pay for it the rest of the week.

Tomorrow morning I have and IEP meeting for Colby. I need to make sure that I get ADHD added to the IEP. I also need to pick up groceries, fill out rebate forms for the new phones, order sweatshirts for lacrosse and be ready for a 5 PM game.

Tuesday and Wednesday nights I work. Thursday and Friday full days at school with a Drs appt for Colby on Thursday afternoon followed by an evening planning meeting. Friday night Hunter has a game then I'm heading into cover the bar for the rest of the night. Working Saturday night too. It seems like some busy days, but I did have several days off so I guess it all works out.

She looks like an angel. Beautiful.:love:

Happy Mother's Day!!!!

Steffy -- Have you been during Christmas and before/during the New Year? We've been right before Christmas and right after/ through the New Year. The latter is much more expensive as far as room and much more crowded in my opinion. BUT, two nights of the best fireworks of the year IMO is pretty amazing.

Did you know of someone who had a bad experience at the GF? I don't think it's much different than the Yacht/Beach, except the GF has the main building and the lovely orchestra and is fun to hang out in. It is not stuffy as everyone has the impression it might be. The Ritz or Four Seasons -- those are places I feel uncomfortable in. While it does have some upscale places to eat, I thought the people at Cali Grill were much more dressed up than the people at Narcoossee's or Citrico's. (With the exception of V&A's where all guests are dressed up.) Yachtsman had some dressed up, and some people from the parks. Have fun planning, wherever you decide to stay! :goodvibes

I was at the Poly in the Hawaii buidling for 11 nights Christmas in 2004. Loved it. It was weird not having my tree up, and no Santa, but now the kids are older and are not expecting him. :santa::santa: Glad you reminded me about the NYE fireworks. I think that would be great. I've always wanted to see them. In fact, I had reserved a treehouse villa for last year around NYE.

Nothing bad about the GF, just it is not DVC and I don't think I want to shell out the big bucks for a room there. ;)

Vicki, you know our mantra. The only way to get pass the left Disney depression is to plan another trip. I swear, sometimes it is my love of Disney that gets me out the house and off to work. Make money for Mickey....

Good morning. :) It's back to work for me.

Thank you all for the comments about Alyssa.

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day. Bob took us all out to brunch today, and it was yummy. We were stuffed all day. He also got me tickets to go see Mary Poppins in August! :woohoo:

Good Morning,

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's day, my daughters did a great job a making mine special. :lovestruc:lovestruc

I hope that everyone's Mother's Day was wonderful. Sounds like Tammi made out quite well. ;) And Debbie's daughters are to be commended! :thumbsup2

Bob gave me a "blank check" to do what I wanted for the weekend and Kathrin sent me flowers.

After my hair appointment I spent all day Saturday and Sunday in my garden. It is really starting to take shape. Kathrin calls it "Mama's Little Oasis!" :rotfl: I will post pictures later. I was so tired after hauling plants and mulch and umbrella bases and lawn tractor batteries that the last thing I wanted to do last night was go out to dinner. So... Bob and I went to Dairy Queen! :rotfl2: We shared a chicken tender basket and had a sundae. It was just what I needed!

Kristin got home from her WDW trip about 11:30 last night. They had a wonderful time but will never stay in Pop again. They were in the 90s area and had a very long walk to get to the food court and the buses. She also said that the bus service was atrocious. Most days there wasn't room on the bus when it got to them. And the waits for buses were in the neighborhood of 60-90 minutes when returning from the parks. Since Kristin is known in our family as the Transportation Queen, I don't take her comments lightly. :sad2: The parks were crowded and they were having record-breaking heat (again) so she said it felt like July, not early May.

She came home with two things for me: a single PhotoPass shot for the CD Share I was part of. It is of Test Track and she is making some weird face just for me she says. And the Animal Kingdom Park CD! I had mentioned it briefly and she got it for me!:thumbsup2

Elin - sounds like you had a nice weekend of doing what you love! And now I'm off to read your TR since I see more of it is posted!

Isn't it funny that we were there so close to one another almost 22 years ago?

Hope you all had a nice Mother's Day! We had a nice weekend here. :goodvibes

Quiet days are great days! I'm glad that you were off for the weekend. You sure have a busy week ahead.

It sounds like you had a great weekend, too!

We don't really do much for Mother's Day (or Father's Day) around here. Dh and Miles did plant some flowers in front of the house a week or so ago as a Mother's Day present. Matthew remembered to send me an e-mail, and Miles and Laura made cards. I wasn't happy to see snow yesterday, but at least it didn't stick around. Today is a little cool but :sunny:.

Today is the Physics AP. Laura looked like death warmed over this morning and said that she really didn't feel well. I hope that she is doing better by now. She had to go in for early gym this morning. I wish that I could have told her to skip it, but she's already missing two gym days for exams, and they all have to be made up. The Physics exam doesn't start until noon. It's her only afternoon AP this year.

Miles is missing swimming tonight, because the music teacher wants them to do a 10-minute excerpt from their musical for the school board tonight. One of the two monthly school board meetings is in one of the schools instead of at the district offices. Tonight's meeting is in our elementary school. There is a time for the school to "show off" something at the meeting. I'm sure it's nice, but it seems a waste to miss a night of swimming for 10 minutes.

Matthew has two finals today, but since he isn't here, I haven't had to listen to any drama or feel any stress. (Actually, he never has drama with studying/homework like the other two.)

I need to spend a good part of the day cleaning, getting rid of junk, and organizing around here. I just haven't started moving yet. I guess I'd better get moving, because before I know it, the day will be over.

Has anyone ever booked a Disney tour for anyone else (traveling companions) using either a DVC, AP or Disney Visa discount. I booked the segway tour for bob and my dad last year with the discount and had no problems. I am now trying to book the KTTK tour for my mom and dad using one of those 3 discounts and they are telling me that I have to take the tour with them in order to get the discount. I will even be there with them to show my cards, I just don't want to take the tour! I can't believe with all of the thousands of dollars that I shell out to Disney that I can't get a flippin $40 savings!

If you've done the tour using the discount (Kristine??), have you ever had to show proof of AP, DVC card or Visa? I'm thinking about booking it for the three of us, then canceling me on the reservation, because it is immediately charged to your card, NOT paid for when you show up for the tour.

Tammi - Alyssa looked beautiful! I'm so glad the day went well. I'd love to see more pictures!

Sounds like everyone had a great Mother's Day! Alan and the kids made me a breakfast of french toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and fruit salad. Very yummy! After church, they presented me with homemade cards, a large bird feeder I've been wanting and a meal of steak and corn on the cob. It was a really nice day.

Today I'm spending most of the day at the dentist. My dad offered to pay to have my teeth straightened, so I go in today for the first appointment. Instead of braces, I'm having 4 crowns put on. Should be interesting! Wish me luck!

Have a great day, everyone!

When I booked the Segway tour for dh, Matthew, and Laura for August, they told me that I couldn't use my Disney Visa discount unless I was going. I told them that dh also has the Disney Visa (same number, joint account), so they did let me book it with the discount and told me that he had to have his card when they checked in or pay the difference. I don't know if they will really check, though. It seems like it would be impractical to have them pay the difference, but I really don't know.

Several years ago when we did the Family Magic Tour, I had the Disney Visa discount, and I was never asked to show the card. I don't know if things have changed since then, though.

Tammi, love the photo of Alyssa!! :goodvibes
I've never booked a tour I wasn't going on. But I don't recall ever having to show a card when we checked in for a tour, either. :confused3

Glynis, good luck at the dentist!

Beth, I hope Laura does OK with the exam! :wizard:

I spent the day yesterday shopping for shoes. Well, DH and DS took me out for breakfast, then I went shopping by myself. I am having a horrible time finding good sport sandals. I finally ended up buying some Eccos. I hope I like them.

While I was going from store to store I ran across a pair of Tevas for DH. I ALMOST called to ask him if he wanted them. Then I ALMOST just bought them. But NO, I left them there. I went home and asked DH if he thought he might like them. At first he said no, then he said yes. Went to the Sports Authority across the street from us and they didn't have his size. :headache: When will I learn to BUY IT WHEN I SEE IT?

The store where I saw them is close to work, so Pixie and I popped over there this AM. There was a scary guy in front of the store. It is HOT here. He was wearing a BIG coat. He was walking with his palms pressed flat against the front of his thighs, in sort of a marching gait. Something was NOT RIGHT with him. Then he went INSIDE the store. :scared: I debated not going in, but I figured we would be quick. He walked out as I was paying for the shoes. We moved back to the car expeditiously with our shoes. :rolleyes1
