For the DDA with young kids that need strollers, did you see that Owners Locker has started a new business http://www.magicstrollers.com/.
When were you at the Poly in 1988? We were there at the beginning of June for our honeymoon. (We were married May 28th but didn't leave for a couple of days.) It's funny, because I was the same way watching them building the GF and saying that's where I wanted to go. Now it's not anywhere the top of my list, though we never stayed there. I just would much rather stay at some of the other resorts.
Yesterday was such a beautiful day. Everything went so nice. I am so happy with the picture that I had done of Alyssa. I will post more "family" pictures later, if anyone wants to see them.

Happy Mother's Day!!!!
Steffy -- Have you been during Christmas and before/during the New Year? We've been right before Christmas and right after/ through the New Year. The latter is much more expensive as far as room and much more crowded in my opinion. BUT, two nights of the best fireworks of the year IMO is pretty amazing.
Did you know of someone who had a bad experience at the GF? I don't think it's much different than the Yacht/Beach, except the GF has the main building and the lovely orchestra and is fun to hang out in. It is not stuffy as everyone has the impression it might be. The Ritz or Four Seasons -- those are places I feel uncomfortable in. While it does have some upscale places to eat, I thought the people at Cali Grill were much more dressed up than the people at Narcoossee's or Citrico's. (With the exception of V&A's where all guests are dressed up.) Yachtsman had some dressed up, and some people from the parks. Have fun planning, wherever you decide to stay!![]()
We were there in May.![]()
I'm glad that you had a nice weekend!Hope you all had a nice Mother's Day! We had a nice weekend here.![]()
Quiet days are great days! I'm glad that you were off for the weekend. You sure have a busy week ahead. We had a quiet day. It was very cold here and spit snow or sprinkled during the day. It was nice to have the weekend off. I don't work tomorrow either, but I'll pay for it the rest of the week.
Tomorrow morning I have and IEP meeting for Colby. I need to make sure that I get ADHD added to the IEP. I also need to pick up groceries, fill out rebate forms for the new phones, order sweatshirts for lacrosse and be ready for a 5 PM game.
Tuesday and Wednesday nights I work. Thursday and Friday full days at school with a Drs appt for Colby on Thursday afternoon followed by an evening planning meeting. Friday night Hunter has a game then I'm heading into cover the bar for the rest of the night. Working Saturday night too. It seems like some busy days, but I did have several days off so I guess it all works out.
Sounds like you had a great day!Good morning. It's back to work for me.
Thank you all for the comments about Alyssa.
I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day. Bob took us all out to brunch today, and it was yummy. We were stuffed all day. He also got me tickets to go see Mary Poppins in August!![]()
Yay!Good Morning,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's day, my daughters did a great job a making mine special.![]()
I hope that everyone's Mother's Day was wonderful. Sounds like Tammi made out quite well. And Debbie's daughters are to be commended!
Bob gave me a "blank check" to do what I wanted for the weekend and Kathrin sent me flowers.
After my hair appointment I spent all day Saturday and Sunday in my garden. It is really starting to take shape. Kathrin calls it "Mama's Little Oasis!"I will post pictures later. I was so tired after hauling plants and mulch and umbrella bases and lawn tractor batteries that the last thing I wanted to do last night was go out to dinner. So... Bob and I went to Dairy Queen!
We shared a chicken tender basket and had a sundae. It was just what I needed!
Kristin got home from her WDW trip about 11:30 last night. They had a wonderful time but will never stay in Pop again. They were in the 90s area and had a very long walk to get to the food court and the buses. She also said that the bus service was atrocious. Most days there wasn't room on the bus when it got to them. And the waits for buses were in the neighborhood of 60-90 minutes when returning from the parks.Since Kristin is known in our family as the Transportation Queen, I don't take her comments lightly.
The parks were crowded and they were having record-breaking heat (again) so she said it felt like July, not early May.
She came home with two things for me: a single PhotoPass shot for the CD Share I was part of. It is of Test Track and she is making some weird face just for me she says. And the Animal Kingdom Park CD! I had mentioned it briefly and she got it for me!

Has anyone ever booked a Disney tour for anyone else (traveling companions) using either a DVC, AP or Disney Visa discount. I booked the segway tour for bob and my dad last year with the discount and had no problems. I am now trying to book the KTTK tour for my mom and dad using one of those 3 discounts and they are telling me that I have to take the tour with them in order to get the discount.I will even be there with them to show my cards, I just don't want to take the tour! I can't believe with all of the thousands of dollars that I shell out to Disney that I can't get a flippin $40 savings!
If you've done the tour using the discount (Kristine??), have you ever had to show proof of AP, DVC card or Visa? I'm thinking about booking it for the three of us, then canceling me on the reservation, because it is immediately charged to your card, NOT paid for when you show up for the tour.
