Deb-which prepaid cell phone did you get? Are you happy with them? Still have/use them? I was thinking of getting one for Joe for our trip but the choices are overwhelming!:confused3 I was leaning toward a tracfone. They have a reconditioned Motorola W376G (phone gets good reviews) on their website for $19.99 with double minutes and a 60 minute card (so 120 minutes). Might be worth a shot for $20. I figure there will be some times when it might be nice for Lizzy to have one next year in middle school. This would be a cheaper option then adding a line to my verizon account and I wouldn't have to worry about a lost phone.

I'm not Deb, but Matthew, Laura, and I have prepaid Virgin Mobile phones. You need to add a minimum of $15 every three months (if you do it automatically through a credit card, otherwise I think it's $20 every three months). They have worked well for us.

Thanks! I'll take a look at them. The tracfone would be a 30 minute card every 60 days but with double minutes that would be 60 minutes so I think that would be more than enough. Minutes do roll over as long as you keep buying them. So the same price....

WAY too many choices!!!

so today is another day that reminds me that I am in a world of "it's complicated"....it's my 19th wedding anniversary.

and last night Cassidy decided to take my sister and BIL up on their offer to go live with them and go to school at UNM or the community college there. :scared1::sad1:

Sorry things are complicated! I thought Cassidy was going to school in CO. Sorry the plans changed, but at least she'll be with family, right?

Hi everyone, had my stiches out today. And as I told Terry still have to take it easy because I had a lot of arthritis for only being 42.

Debbie - I am glad your MIL is home and doing better. How about you and your shoulder?

Jennifer - Good thoughts headed your way today.

My appointment was rescheduled from last week, I just got home from the doc, I am having an MRI to make sure there isn't another problem, and then I will be having surgery to remove the scar tissue and he will "manipulate" the arm to release it.

Nothing new to report. We waited 2hrs before we finally saw the resident, then another 20 mins. before the Dr came in. We then had to have blood work done and a chest x-ray. The Oncologist did not have the staging done yet. She said she will contact the Pathologist and see if they have enough of something to do further testing. We were told that some one from radiology would contact us to do another biopsy on the lung mass. The X-ray was to see if fluid is accumulating in his right lung again so that maybe we can wean him off the oxygen. They told us to stop taking the Iron pills. Someone from the surgical clinic will be contacting us to schedule the placement of his port-a-cath. for the Chemo. The Dr.s also gave us a paper to take to the Pharmacy to fill out for getting his chemo meds free. we fill out the form and they mail it to the drug companies. We were also given a paper to apply to the lymphoma society for medical reimbursments up to $500 a year. They reimburse for milage and co pays

Oh man Theresa I thought she was going to college their in CO. Hugs.

I've been feeling really lousy with allergies!!! Never been this bad before. I thought maybe it was because I had been so sick this winter but everyone is complaining. I tried Claritin but couldn't take that. I bought children's Zyrteck to try that. It is a different drug and maybe a child's dose won't hit me so hard.
I was miserable on Saturday and took CVS's brand of 24 hr. Zyrtek. Been taking them everyday and they are really helping. Good luck! :wizard:

I hope you get some relief....FAST!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Women are angels

And when someone breaks our wings,

We simply continue to fly...

On a broomstick.

We're flexible like that.

:banana:Yay for no stitches.

:hug:Doesn't sound fun.

:hug:I'm so sorry you didn't get more answers.

I think I bought the wrong thing. I bought children's chewable tablets thinking it would be a lower dose than the adult but it is the same 10mg. The box says some people might need a 5mg dose. Only the children's liquid is in 5mg. AND....I guess I was pretty out of it when I bought it because this is for sneezing (only have a mild case of that not enough to take anything for), runny nose (have NONE of that), itchy eyes (have that), itchy throat (don't have that). It isn't for my biggest problems which is sinus pressure. I should have gotten Zyrtek D. I think I should take this back since it was over $10.

Hunter has Net10. We went with that as the phone has a full slide out keyboard for texting and that is what kids do these days. Chris had a tracfone for years and was happy with it. I know that tracfone works well at WDW as we've used them there, not sure about Net10, but it is tracfone's sister company.

Hi everyone, had my stiches out today. And as I told Terry still have to take it easy because I had a lot of arthritis for only being 42.

:wizard::wizard:Take it easy and hopefully that arthritis will stay at bay.

Jennifer is sounds like you got a lot of information thrown at you today. Hopefully things will go smoothly and they'll have the information that you were actually looking for soon.

Nick has his first girlfriend  He is so excited that she said yes. He asked one girl out last year and she said no and another this year that said no. Needless to say he is super happy that this one said yes :rotfl: I'm not sure if I'm ready for this, but like it or not the time has come.

Colby's teacher is driving me crazy. The woman was sure that he did not have ADHD, but I decided to have him tested and guess what...I was right. Now she is concerned that he is overly emotional and too clingy to adults. Mind you she has been complaining all year that he clings to adults. An she is sure that he is developing an eating disorder because he was excited to have lost 5 lbs. The poor kid has been overweight his entire life which he was aware of (look at how skinny Hunter is) he has also had kids at school call him fat. So yes, he is happy to have lost 5 lbs, but that is not the reason that he isn't eating much at school. The ADHD meds cause loss of appetite for about 6 - 8 hours while they are working. He starts eating right after school and eats all evening, it's not like he's becoming anorexic :sad2: He ate 3 pieces of pizza for dinner and ate his lunch when he first got home from school. I really think I'm going to have to set the teacher straight as she is really getting on my nerves.

Thanks! Net10 seems better if you want more minutes. I'm hoping to keep this to a minimum.;)

I really can't believe any girl would turn Nick down.:confused3 Maybe they weren't ready to date????

:wizard:Good luck with Colby's teacher!:wizard:

Emma's teacher told DH she has a temper. Said she "exploded" at a classmate who was cutting in line. I find that a bit hard to believe because she is so quiet out of the house. I asked her what happened. She said someone was cutting in line and she told him not to but then another student told her it wasn't a big deal. That was the one she "blasted" with a "it is too!". I think her entire class was shocked because she barely talks. I told her she probably could have dealt with that situation without raising her voice but I don't concer with her teacher that she has a temper problem rather a well defined sense of right & wrong and wasn't going to let anyone tell her something that was wrong was OK.

Sounds like the DDA needs a blanket of hugs today. So...

 :grouphug:  :grouphug:  :grouphug:

:hug:Has your sister & BIL invited you to NM?
I like this! Maybe the 3 of you should pack up and head to NM? :confused3 I think you need to take charge and make a change in your life, and what a perfect opportunity! :wizard: :)

She said yes to what?!?! Are they going out on a date? Good luck with this stage of life! :faint:
