Theresa - Sorry that Cassidy is going so far.

Jennifer - I hope you're able to work your schedules out once things are set up. Lots of that it all works out soon and he's on the way to recovery.

Bernadette - Hope you're feeling better! My allergies have been nuts this year too.

Deb - Good luck with your conference tomorrow! It sounds like moving Colby might be the best thing.

Debbie - I hope the surgery does the trick and that they don't find anything else on the MRI.

Beth - Yeah for a trip!!!

I've got a GS camp training class tonight so it's going to be a long one, but at least it's no kids, good company and results in a night away for the rest of the training next weekend! Have a good evening everyone.

I have always wanted to stay at BC (well, since it opened anyway), and we could never justify the cost. But I booked in time to get the 35% off deal and caught dh in a good mood.

Tomorrow is Matthew's 19th birthday, and it's the first one that I won't share with him in person. He has a very full, busy schedule on Thursdays with his last lab ending about 8:00 pm. The saddest part for me is realizing that it's just one of many and that it probably isn't even a blip on his radar. Of course, I would never share that with him, because truly it is a blessing that he is thriving and doing just what he is supposed to do. It's just that it is all over so fast for me. He was just a little boy yesterday, I'm pretty sure. It's all good, though...it's exactly the way it's supposed to be. I'm not overly depressed or anything...it will just be a little hard sometimes growing into this new stage of my life.

Aw, Beth. I'm sad now, and I won't be going through that for another 8 years!

And for an August trip!!!!

Nicholas had his first soccer game of the season tonight. They won, 4-1, which surprised him, because he kept saying the boys on his team aren't very good. They all looked pretty good to me!

Elin - Do you know what happened to Keegan on Food Network? He's not hosting the challenge shows anymore...

According to a foodie blog:

"Keegan Gerhard was driving through a jungle in Puerto Rico on his way to Saborea, Puerto Rico's annual culinary extravaganza.

He was there with several other Food Network celebrities, including Claire Robinson, the current host of 5 Ingredient Fix, a Food Network series featuring recipes made with five ingredients or fewer, and now the host of Challenge, a post Gerhard has held since he joined the Food Network lineup eight years ago.

Sort of.

"Over the past eight years, I've been a host, a judge, the crazy weirdo guy and a commentator," explains Gerhard, who adds that the Food Network "wants Claire to make it on prime time." Women hosts, he says, "have a very difficult time making it on Food Network prime time and right now, Claire is their girl, and they want to see her succeed."

For his part, Gerhard is taking things in stride. "I don't care," he says. "I make the same amount of money no matter what I do. We have a new set, a new format, a new host and a new role for Keegan," which, he reveals, is as a judge.

"Look, I'm a chef, after all, and I'm much more comfortable sitting on the judge's panel than I am opening and closing the show," he says. Plus, "now I get to turn in a score card."

Sounds great except that we'll just miss you. We go home 7/27.

Have you play with the Disney math to see if it might be worth it for one of you (you of course) to get an annual pass? You would save over $100 on the hotel-40% AP discount vs 35% you have, you would get free parking if you went to a Disney park your first week, you could buy the Tables in Wonderland for 20% discount on most table service meals and a few counter service ones too. Just something to play with.....

We'll be in Orlando some of the same time. We get back from our cruise on July 31 and head home on Aug 6.

As Glynis said, Keegan is a judge now. I saw him on the first two shows of the season.

I like him as a judge, but really miss him as host. I just don't think Claire Robinson has what it takes to engage the audience.

I agree with you, Glynis. And like everyone else, I feel her voice is such a detriment to her ability to carry a show! What were they thinking?!?!?

So long as he's happy. I guess we should be glad that he's doing something he's more comfortable with. But seriously, he was the "Tim Gunn" of Food Network... there's a big shoe for her to fill. I have yet to see her host; I'll have to DVR a show and see.

Morning! It's going to be a busy weekend for us, starting today! My brother and his family are going to be here tonight through Sunday!! His little boy, Shaun, was born 9 days after the twins, so we're going to celebrate that, plus the 3 of them are all going to be baptized on Saturday. My sister and her family are coming, and my dad is also going to be there, along with all of Alan's family! We are having a barbecue with my side of the family tomorrow night, and a huge party after the baptism on Saturday! Quite an exciting time for us and those 3 little kids!!!

So, if I'm not on as much as I usually am, you'll know not to worry.

By the way, I've posted new pictures of Timothy on facebook. He's a little ham!

I ordered photo books for my mom & MIL for Mother's Day. I put together pictures of the cruise & wdw & am pretty happy with it. This is the first time doing it so I hope it looks nice. I have no idea what to get the moms so this seemed like a nice gift especially that they do not see the kids much anymore.

Snapfish is offering buy one get one free on the classic photo books. Code MOMLOVE. So of course I got one for me too.

Walgreens is also offering a discount now but I do not like how my Walgreens prints stuff (too dark) so I went with snapfish.
