Elizabeth sorry no letter, hopefully tomorrow.

Good morning.

Terry - I'm so sorry about your kitty! That's how our Cozy went. We had decided to take her to the vet the next day, but that afternoon, she curled up in Katie's arms and passed on. It was really hard, at the time, but I think she knew she was going and wanted to be surrounded by people who love her.

Elizabeth - My fingers are crossed for you and DS today! I hope you hear something positive, early!!

Anne Marie - So sorry about the glasses. I'm also sorry about the teenager! I'm really not liking the teen age attitude I'm getting from my Katie, these days. Makes me long for the "good old days!"

Deb - Don't run yourself down! It's ok to say no sometimes! I'm hoping that Hunter feels better soon. Hope it's only a cold, and not the tummy bug!

Becky - Thanks for the info on Relay for Life. My dad is a survivor, and this year is part of a relay team. I'm glad to know more about it!

Wish me luck today! I have an appointment at 10:00 to meet with my dentist to have my wisdom teeth looked at. A couple of them have been really hurting for the last week, and Alan finally decided it was time to do something. Hopefully, the dentist will refer us to a good oral surgeon, as I'm much too big a baby to let the regular dentist take care of this. We're also going to be talking about some teeth straightening for me. My parents couldn't afford to have my teeth straightened, when I was a child, but now my dad is offering to have the work done. My dentist thinks that he can take care of my problem with a set of Invisalign braces, so we're going to talk cost.

That's my day! Hope you all have a good one!

Elizabeth- Sorry you did not get a letter today. I am sure there is a letter on its way. You can come here and clean to keep yourself busy instead of worrying. ;)

Amy- All of your kiddos are adorable and you look fantastic.

Deb- I hope everyone is feeling better soon. Don't over do it.

If you want a better idea of what happens at Relay for Life watch these videos. This is from our event in 2008 and this one is from 2009 and this is another video from our event. Every event is different but it should help you see what might happen at Relay.

I keep thinking about getting braces again. My teeth shifted because my wisdom teeth were not removed soon enough and I have a crossbite and my teeth are still shifting.

I am supposed to head to NYC tomorrow night to meet some friends and see an early screening of Waking Sleeping Beauty. Don Hahn and Peter Schneider will be their for a Q&A. As much as I want to go at the same time I am just thinking about not going, as I don't want to do the extra drive and come back so late. Who knows what I will decide to do.

:wizard::hug: to all of you.

Amy love the pictures, you have a beautiful family :goodvibes

Elizabeth sorry the letter did not arrive, hopefully soon :wizard:

Deb you sound so busy! Hope the boys feel better soon :wizard:

Glynis hope the antibiotics heal you quickly!

Beth I really hope you can make a Disney trip happen!

Becky going to NY sounds like fun, could you spend the night so you do not have to drive home?

If I go I will drive to PA and then stay in a hotel and go to work in the morning. If I go home I will actually drive by my office to get there.

I'm home from work. It was an okay night at the bar. I seem to be back in the swing of things there. I've also had good luck with people come into the bar to eat so that helps the pocketbook. I know that I sound busy and I certainly am, but I am on a mission to pay for our trip. I don't want to have to scrimp on what we do so I'm willing to work my butt of to make it happen. The volunteer stuff I do to support my kiddos so I need to make that happen too. One thing is for certain, I will need this vacation when the time comes.

Is that a Canon SX120? If so I recommended the prior model SX110 to a coworker who loved it so much that 2 others bought one and one of their relatives also bought one. I think they are all happy with it but I wouldn't call any of them great photographers.

Have you looked at the Canon SX20? That would get you more dSLR type results but in a bulkier camera.

Yes, it is the SX120. Missed the "0" !! :rotfl2:

I did look at the SX20, but it is more camera than I want, size-wise. The SX110 would also be fine, I think. I will look into that one too. Thanks, Bernadette

I know you didnt ask me, but I just got Invisaligns a few weeks ago. I wore my first set for 2 weeks and was amazed that my teeth have already moved. I started wearing the 2nd set on Thursday. I am supposed to wear each set for 2 weeks and have a total of 9 sets. My teeth get a little sore, but nothing horrible!

Thanks, Jen. Kristin has been considering them and I had no idea how much they were. I don't know how much her insurance will cover either, but it sure sounds like a good way to go for an adult.

Good morning. :)

Elizabeth - sorry you didn't hear anything yesterday. Hopefully today. :wizard:

I was shocked to find my insurance covered the entire cost . That was when I decided to just do it..

Morning all

Thanks.

I have had a bit of an epiphany.
They were running auditions for "no shows" on March 10 & 11. Letters were supposed to be mailed March 12. BUT realistically, the only letters they could have printed prior to those last minute auditions were the ones for kids who didn't meet the minimum audition score. Everybody who qualified would have had to wait until the very last kid was finished on 3/11 before their letters were printed, because those last minute kids could have potentially displaced kids who WOULD have made it in onto the waitlist. I would imagine that even if the reject letters were ready to go on 3/12 that they held them until ALL of the letters were ready to go, and there is no telling how long that took. Last year the school had 650 applicants - this year it was higher. So it could be a much longer wait than we were initially thinking.

That makes a lot of sense, Elizabeth. I hope that you get good news soon!

I keep thinking about getting braces again. My teeth shifted because my wisdom teeth were not removed soon enough and I have a crossbite and my teeth are still shifting.

This worries me. I've heard a lot of people that has happened to, and I'd like to think that I didn't completely throw away all that money.

I never had my teeth corrected. I guess that it just wasn't done as much for the smaller things when I was young. Though I knew friends that had braces, it was the great majority that it is now. I have a bit of a cross bit and a slight overbite. It's not causing me any problems, so I'd rather have a trip than braces. Our insurance would cover up to $2500, but that still isn't enough for me to have it done.

I'm working from home today. Working on the lacrosse program which did not have as many sign ups as we needed. At this point there are only 2 teams that have enough players to schedule games :sad2: I'm also working on the record labels for the 8th grade dance. Those are time consuming. I really wish we had a green screen to take photos in front of as it would be so easy to remove the background, but no, we've got multi colored classrooms. I feel like I'm at least making headway today.

Anyone care to post a recipe for corned beef in a crockpot for me please? I usually make it in the oven but now we have a crockpot. Thank you.

By the way, also if anyone has a chili crockpot recipe I would appreciate it.
