I'm glad that the news was worth waiting for!
CONGRATULATIONS to C!!!

AWESOME!!!!!DS was accepted!!!!
The "family restroom" thread has finally been closed. I couldn't stop reading it. I never posted on it and couldn't decide if I was being "wise" or gutless. I found it all so unsettling that some folks think they have a "right" to judge other parents.
Last year there was no way Joe would go into a men's room alone. I don't have a problem with him going in alone this year but I don't know how he feels about it. I am concerned that he won't want ME to go into the ladies room and leave him outside alone and I know he won't want to go in with me. I have to say it is a real concern of mine and they way some of these folks characterized the mother who posted the question is shocking.
What was the deal with the companion restrooms? Someone thought that they were strictly reserved for the handicapped?????
Oh lordy.Vehemently. Also, the "you don't care about the child's safety" vs. "he needs independence" groups.
If there is a vacant stall, handicapped or not, and there isn't a line for it, I'm going to use it. Period. When will people realize that handicap ACCESSIBLE does not translate to handicap EXCLUSIVE? Also, I can give my child independence in lots of areas, aside from restrooms.
Yes. Her "want" to hold her child's hand while he pees doesn't override the "need" of the handicap to use those companion restrooms. What was the deal with the companion restrooms? Someone thought that they were strictly reserved for the handicapped?????
The OP has an 8yo DS that she will be traveling with alone. Her nephew had been molested in a public rest room while he was with his 11 yo brother but someone still insisted the OP was an overprotective "snowflake" because this didn't happen to her child and it has never been documented at Disney.
NO! The same group says the OP can't bring her DS into the ladie's room because it would make their DD's uncomfortable.Oh lordy. If there is a vacant stall, handicapped or not, and there isn't a line for it, I'm going to use it. Hmmmm I wonder what people would say if Chris and I chose to use us one together
I'm sure that would have put both sides in a tyraid
Anyone care to post a recipe for corned beef in a crockpot for me please? I usually make it in the oven but now we have a crockpot. Thank you.
By the way, also if anyone has a chili crockpot recipe I would appreciate it.

Yes, DS is excited. So far 3 of his friends have also been accepted (2 Theatre, 1 Music) and we are waiting to hear from one more friend for Music.
Hang in there.Of course he will be!The whole thing really hit a nerve with me. I am concerned that Joe is so timid but I know someday he will be a very caring man.
