So, nothing firm yet, but...would there be room in one of the Beach Club rooms that have two beds plus a daybed to have an air mattress in case the boys don't want to sleep together?
Yes! I would say you have enough room for a air mattress.

Has anyone tried to get onto the WDW AP site today? I cannot get it to accept my AP# and I have tried IE, Firefox and the AOL browser.

Amy,
The kids are adorable!

Glynis,
Good luck at the oral surgeon.

Elizabeth,
Hoping your letter of acceptance is on its way.

Deb,
Hope Hunter is feeling better today.

Good morning.

Wish me luck today! I have an appointment at 10:00 to meet with my dentist to have my wisdom teeth looked at. A couple of them have been really hurting for the last week, and Alan finally decided it was time to do something. Hopefully, the dentist will refer us to a good oral surgeon, as I'm much too big a baby to let the regular dentist take care of this. We're also going to be talking about some teeth straightening for me. My parents couldn't afford to have my teeth straightened, when I was a child, but now my dad is offering to have the work done. My dentist thinks that he can take care of my problem with a set of Invisalign braces, so we're going to talk cost.

That's my day! Hope you all have a good one!

Good luck!

Beth - Good luck with your decision about the summer trip!

Glynis - I am glad you are going to see an oral surgeon. They are best equipped to handle your wisdom teeth! Good luck. And I am very curious to know what the Invisalign braces cost.

Thanks!

I'm sure it all depends on how much needs to be corrected, but Laura's Invisalign braces were about $4700 for 18 months of treatment and the end retainers. It was about $200 more than the conventional braces would have been for her. My friend's son just went to the same orthodontist, and the Invisalign would have been almost $1000 more than the conventional braces for him. I don't know if it is just what needed to be done or if they have gone up that much in the past few years.

Hi DDA!

As you can imagine, things are extremely chaotic around here! I'm sure I'll figure out how to get a morning shower again one day soon! :)

Sammy is already changing, but here are a few pictures from last Thursday when we got home.

Noah is smiling a little more, but we're working on the whole gentle thing!

You have a beautiful family, and Sammy is so adorable!

Beth, I hope you get to plan a WDW trip!!

Still waiting. :rolleyes1 Shouldn't be more than 4 more hours. Not sure I can wait 4 more hours, though. :headache:

Thanks!

I hope that you can keep busy for those four hours and not go too insane. SAT scores should be on-line on April 1st, and I don't know how I'll make it that long.

Beth hope you can book a trip.

Thanks!

Yes! I would say you have enough room for a air mattress.

Thanks! Because of the way the season differ at the deluxe and value hotels and the percentage off difference, Beach Club will be close to two rooms at a value. The two rooms would be great, but I've always wanted to stay at the Beach Club. I don't have the go ahead for either yet, but we need to decide soon.

I know! I would like to have 2 rooms too since Katie requires so much time in the bathroom!!:rotfl: But it is just no cost effective when value season starts earlier at the deluxes than at the values...sometimes you are looking a just a few hundred dollars or less in comparison. Location (to me) is always more important than anything...BC is sooooo awesome but we are still up in the air between BC & BWI...I have BC booked but my kids really loved BWI last year...don't know if we could swing CL again though & I am sure thats a big part of why they loved it so much.

Beth - thanks for the info on the Invisaligns.

NO LETTER!

Picked up McD's for lunch and took the kids to my house. Mailman was there when we arrived. DH came home about 10 minutes later, he ran down to the mailbox. Mail wasn't IN the box yet, but mailman gave him our mail. No letter. :sad2:

We DID have a census that didn't belong to us, but DH took it back and mailman gave him the right one. Perfect. No telling where our letter might have gone. I feel sick.

Now that the kids are older, two rooms really works better for us. But between Stormalong Bay and being that close to Epcot, I really want to try BC. Who knows if these deals will be available if we wait until next year. We looked at BWI, too, but Laura doesn't like enclosed slides but she is also freaked out about that clown slide at BWI. It will have to be a standard room for us.

Beth - thanks for the info on the Invisaligns.

You're welcome! Laura really liked the look and flexibility of being able to take them out to eat. She was responsible enough to leave them in when she needed to, though, even if they hurt. It might be so much more tempting to younger person to take them out if they start getting uncomfortable. They didn't hurt any more than regular braces, but moving teeth isn't always comfortable.

Elizabeth - Yikes!!! Take some deep breaths! I wish I had more words of wisdom for you, but I don't.

I'm back from the dentist. He looked at my teeth, and what's causing me pain is an infection of the gum surrounding the wisdom tooth. So, I'm on penicillin and another antibiotic rinse, and we'll get that taken care of. With regards to all 4 wisdom teeth, the top 2 are in fully, came in straight, no impacted roots, or anything, however, they are so close to the back teeth, that I can't get floss in between them. The bottom 2 are in partially, and they seem to be in straight, as well. The roots look clean. That's good. My dentist said he could extract all 4 of them, but he would rather I go see an oral surgeon (me too!), so that's our game plan. I did ask if there was a problem with e waiting until summer, and he didn't think so. I'll just have more options for help with the kids during the summer, plus Alan has vacation time that he can take to help me. So, that's going to be my summer!

As to the teeth straightening, there are 2 options. I could have my 4 front top teeth straightened orthodontically (which I've tried before), but the problem is that the teeth will move back once the hardware is off. So, I'd just have to continue having braces over and over for the rest of my life. Yuck! The second option is to have crowns put over the top 4 teeth. It's a little more pricy, but I wouldn't have to have it done over and over. We'll talk things over with my dad, but it looks like it will cost about 1800 dollars for the 4 crowns.

So, that's all the news that's fit to print from my life today! I'll check back in later. Now, I've got to get the baby up from his nap, and run to the store! It's sloppy joes tonight!

UGH! I hope it shows up soon!

Oh, my gosh! I can't believe I forgot to comment on Amy's pictures!!! Sammy is beautiful!!! Alyssa is already twisted around his finger, isn't she? She looks so at home holding him! Matthew reminds me so much of Jacob with the twins. He was excited about them, but didn't really want anything to do with them! Noah will warm up to Sammy. Just give him time!

Oh, and by the way, showers are much better at night when hubby is home to wrestle all the kids to bed! My only problem with that was that there were times I actually fell asleep in the shower!

I haven't looked at this at all yet, but how does the front of the line pass at Universal work, and do you get it for two days if you spend one night or only one of the days?

If you stay onsite one night at Universal you get 2 days of FOTL access.

Hi DDA!

As you can imagine, things are extremely chaotic around here! I'm sure I'll figure out how to get a morning shower again one day soon! :)

Terry, I'm so sorry about your kitty!

Elizabeth, I hope the letter arrives soon with good news! :wizard:

Stephanie, I'm enjoying your trip report!

Theresa, thinking of you!

I hope everyone has a great week!

What a beautiful family. Noah does look a little put off, but I'm sure he'll come around.

Elizabeth can you call the school to find out directly? I wouldn't want to continue waiting until who knows when. :wizard:

Glynis good luck with yout dental dilemas. I hope the meds work quickly and take care of this problem.

The last few days are a bit of a blurrrrrr. Hunter wasn't feeling well last night so we put him to bed early. Colby went to bed on time, but woke up about 1/2 hour after we went to bed. He said he wasn't comfortable and ended up in our room with his feet bothering him around midnight. Nick also had trouble sleeping. I had decided to let them all sleep in as I had to be at school at 10 am to sub today. Nick decided to get up and go as usual. Hunter slept in, but was still feeling yucky so he stayed home. Sore throat and cold with headache. Colby got enough sleep so he went to school at 10. I really hope we all sleep tonight. I decided not to sub on Wednesday and turned down extra time today as Hunter was sick. My plan is to just sub on Thursday plus my restaurant and meetings that are on for the evenings. Tomorrow I need to tie up a bunch of loose ends with carnival/dance stuff as we meet again on Thursday. Oh yeah, I need to get some lacrosse stuff done too as we meet for that Tomorrow night. Have I mentioned that I can't wait for April 10th to be over ;)

Here's out take on the slides at BC & BWI. Although the slide at BC is longer, you have to leave the pool area, cross the public pathway in your bathing suit & then climb a bazillion stairs to get to the top of the slide. Since 2 of my guys are younger & not great swimmers one of us has to go up with them. They want to go over & over & over again....my legs however do not.:rotfl:

The slide at the BWI is better for us since they do not leave the resort grounds to get to the slide so they can go alone & Dana & I can stay in the pool. The clown thing was freaky to us at first but their slide is alot of fun.

:love:So beautiful!!!
How's your other new baby-iPhone?

Has anyone tried to get onto the WDW AP site today? I cannot get it to accept my AP# and I have tried IE, Firefox and the AOL browser.
I can get on but already had my AP# on the site.

NO LETTER!
:headache:How frustrating!

Did you ever use the quiet pool at BWI? It looks nice.

Beth-:wizard::wizard::wizard:Hope you can work out a summer trip!!!:wizard::wizard::wizard:

I've been reading this thread over on the theme park board about single mothers using companion rest rooms with their sons. WOW! Some people are so self righteous. I wonder if they are like that face to face.

Deb, hope your boys feel better soon.
I can't call the school. It is Spring Break. They mail the letters the Friday before Spring Break starts. That way the people who are irate because their child didn't get in have no way to reach anyone. I will be sad if DS doesn't get in, but I won't call and gripe about it. The problem is not having ANY ANSWER at all. :sad2: DS even made a comment last week about "What if my letter never comes at all?" Well, then I will call. Monday, 3/22. :sad2:

I did e-mail the moms of 3 other kids who auditioned to see if they heard anything. I know 2 others who auditioned, but I don't have those e-mails at work with me.

Bernadette - Right now I am trying to decide between the Canon PS SX12 IS and the Kodak ES Z950 and the Kodak is winning. That really surprises me because I have been a fan of Canon point & shoot cameras for a long time!

Is that a Canon SX120? If so I recommended the prior model SX110 to a coworker who loved it so much that 2 others bought one and one of their relatives also bought one. I think they are all happy with it but I wouldn't call any of them great photographers.

Have you looked at the Canon SX20? That would get you more dSLR type results but in a bulkier camera.

Beth - thanks for the info on the Invisaligns.
I know you didnt ask me, but I just got Invisaligns a few weeks ago. I wore my first set for 2 weeks and was amazed that my teeth have already moved. I started wearing the 2nd set on Thursday. I am supposed to wear each set for 2 weeks and have a total of 9 sets. My teeth get a little sore, but nothing horrible!

Amy-LOVE the pictures of sammy!

Did you ever use the quiet pool at BWI? It looks nice.

Yes, almost every day...the main pool was pretty crowded but the quiet pool was..well "quiet!":rotfl2: At night you could see alot of Illuminations from the quiet pool
