Beth you did a wonderful job on the autograph book!

Tia :wizard: for your dad

Anne Marie sorry about your flowers

Deb sorry about the Mothers Day fiasco, hope it can be worked out.

I will not have a car while in Disney, but I do plan on having some groceries delivered to our room. Let me know what to bring or I can give money to someone that has a car & have them pick up something for me.

Beth - That book looks great! I like it. I think I'm going to make one for Terra for our next trip. By then, it will have been almost 3 years since our last trip to WDW and we don't do as much with characters at DL so I think it will be a good opportunity for it.

Thanks! I've been thinking about it ever since I saw Bernadette's. I wish I would have put a bit more time into it, but I'm also glad that the deadline force me to just do it instead of trying to be perfect. (I don't finish a lot of projects, because I can't be "perfect." Something I need to work on.)

Good morning, DDA!

So my camping training went well this weekend though I really could have done without the tornados in the area! I guess we just got a really thorough training as now we know all about storm emergencies as well. The touchdowns weren't too close to us, but one apparently hit just a block or two from Erin's mall. Funny thing is she didn't even know it. It was a small one and mostly just tree damage luckily, but it was a little crazy for awhile. Mom was laughing because I was the one "out in the woods" and it was me who called to tell them to watch out. I had called because I wasn't sure Phil had anyone else there who would know what to watch for and where to find things in the house.

Also, if you all could keep my dad in his prayers. The doctor told him on Friday that he has prostate cancer. From everything that's been said so far and the steps taken to get to a diagnosis, I think it's really early and am not too worried. On the other hand, I'm not sure Dad understands it all yet and I think he is a little worried. They are meeting with the doctor on May 4 to discuss the options and next step. They told Kristi, Erin and I yesterday, but I don't think Rachel knows yet. They think she'll do better with one on one and she wasn't home at all yesterday. I'm not quite sure how she'll take the news.

Much pixiedust: and prayers for your dad and your family!

Thank you! The kids are much less interested in autographs this time, but I wanted to do something special for the two character meals at least. I'm still thinking of one more book with some of their favorites. We won't be doing a lot of autographs, and we'll most likely do one family book instead of a book for each.

Yeah, that's kind of why I haven't actually done one yet. I always want to find "just the right pictures." I have 18+ months this time so maybe it will work. ;)

Anyone have opinions on Carnival cruises? I would love to do another cruise but we could get so much more for our $ if we did not go DCL.:sad2: Carnival is half the price of DCL for the same itenerary. Thx.

I am reading mixed reviews...next year is our 20th wedding anniversary & we are hoping to do something special. I would be fine going to WDW but Dana would like to go somewhere else so I am on the lookout for something special but not mega bucks.

I so sorry to hear about your Dad. I hope that it is very early stage and that they can remove it :wizard::wizard:

I'm not bringing any autograph cards this trip. I could make some for the new characters and the one's that we might have missed on previous trips, but I am really trying to conserve as much space a possible since 7 of us are driving down in the van. Space is at a premium and the boys don't really care anyway.

Good Morning,

Thanks for your concern, we had some bad weather but the tornados were to the north of us in Yazoo City. Yaoo City could use plenty of prayer right now, last I heard the death toll was ten with lots of destruction.

We spent the day yesterday with the kids and grandkids and had an improptu cook out, my favorite kind of day.
Glad to hear you & yours are all OK. The photos on TV look awful. I can't imagine.

Good Morning

I was up before the alarm today. I'll be working with a severely handicapped boy this week and it is apparently stressing me out more than it should. Between that and the whole Mother's Day thing I can't seem to clear my head long enough to actually sleep. I guess I can survive on 5 hours sleep for awhile, afterall I did it when the kids were babies. The good side is that I'll be making extra money towards the trip this week :woohoo:
:wizard:Hope things go more smoothly than you fear!

Thanks! Bernadette gave me the idea. She did an amazing one.
I like yours better! On Kodak you can't change the page background by page. I love how you made the pages match the characters! Donald is going to LOVE the #1 on his page!!!! I really love how you did the Cape May pages with beach photos!

I switched to just one book years ago and even then the kids did well sharing who would give the book/pen to the characters. I would hope yours could handle sharing.:rotfl:

Joe wants to do autograph cards but I think his shirt too. I should take a picture of his shirt. Guess I better check the fabric pens to see if I should buy new ones.

Glad you were safe at your camp training. I did just a day a few weeks ago. We are doing platform tent camping in June. Next year that will require overnight training.

:wizard:Good luck to your Dad. They've come a long way in treatment for prostate cancer.

I don't finish a lot of projects, because I can't be "perfect." Something I need to work on.
That is me too. I'm surprised I have completed so many sewing projects. I started a quilted jacket for Emma's trip that I didn't finish because it wasn't coming together right and I was strapped for time. I have finished everything else I've started for the kids but do have a blouse I started for me last May that I haven't touched since.:rolleyes1

I got our clothes all packed this weekend and they fit in one checked bag with room to spare.

I think I'll have to take a larger carry on though. I have a small I was going to use but I don't think that is going to work.

I got the software for Joe's camera loaded on my laptop and all but 1 memory stick of movies downloaded. Now my 140GB hard drive on my laptop has less than 25GB of free space. Guess I have to get an external hard drive. Too bad I can't just use the one for my Mac but they have to be formated for Mac or PC so I can't share the drive with both.

I still have a ton of other little things to do like update my iPod, charge batteries, activate the tracfone and reformat memory sticks. Glad the packing is done so I can get all those pesky things done. Lizzy & I are getting our hair cut Saturday afternoon, Lizzy has a parade with band Saturday morning and Emma really wants to go make the school house at Lowes Saturday morning so I think the weekend will be busy.

Tia -:hug::wizard::wizard: Lot's of PD for your dad

Beth - I love the autograph book, good luck with the dress shopping, I definitely don't miss that, my oldest daughter was the one who tried on every dress in the mall and then went back and got the first one she tried on.

Deb -

Janet - Good to see you

Tia-Ill keep your dad in my thoughts--glad to hear that it appears to be caught early!

I dont know much about Carnival since I have not sailed them--but defintiely check out cruisecritic.com (I dont remember if you said you have looked at that site yet)...Sorry to not be much help :)

Which line are you going in July?

I am not a fan of this time of year. It is sooo busy its nuts. I have basically been working everyday. Last week I worked every night plus all day Saturday. Sunday was the 1st day off I had in awhile. I just realized I am basically working every day between now and the day I leave for FL, which is not til May 19th.:scared1: I am going to Delaware the weekend of May 7-9, otherwise I would be working that Saturday, off Sunday. So far I have nothing planned for Memorial day weekend and I hope it stays that way. Plus I still have to schedule 6 plan of work meetings sometime, before the end of June.

The good thing is this week I don't really have any night meetings, so I at least have a bit more time at home.

I really would like to work more towards making the trip be finding job and place to live type trip so I can move to FL but given my schedule I doubt that will be happening.;)

I also need to find clothing and stuff for the trip.

I hope you are all doing well.:goodvibes:wizard::hug:

I've been on Carnival and I swore I would never do it again.

Tia - I'm sorry to hear about your dad. My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2004. He opted to have surgery and have it removed, which came with it's own side effects, but it hasn't come back!

Beth - love the book!
