Hi everyone. Two weeks ago I signed up for the Give A Day--Get a Disney Day. Thank goodness I did when I did since they already have the million volunteers. Anyhow, I took calls at our local PBS station. People were ordering cds and dvds. It was a lot of fun. I got to talk to other Disney folks which was fun. I even took Chuckie.

On a sad note one of our cats is going downhill fast. Miles used to weigh almost 14 pounds. The past few years he has weighed 11. Then when we put Cobain down he lost a lot of weight. I thought it was because he was mourning Cobain. When we took Miles to the vet, it was discovered he needed thyroid medicine which could have been one of the reasons he went down to under 6 pounds. Well today he has been breathing very hard. I am thinking it might be congestive heart failure cause this is how Scooter passed on. Heavy labored breathing and a big weight loss. His sister Ella is doing just great and so is Josie. Miles and Ella are 16 and Josie is about 14. This is so hard because we have had them all for so long.


Elin, I am sorry I did not get back to you. I am doing okay. I have put out resumes but no luck. I am going crazy here in the house. The amount one gets on unemployment is a joke.

Terry - so sorry to hear about your kitty. Lots of that you get back into the working world soon.

If I can save the money, I get a do-over in October. We both are looking forward to it.

We are also thinking of doing an adults only trip in October, to enjoy the F&WF. It would be nice to have a mini-meet!

Terry - You are having a rough time right now, I know. I am so sorry to hear about your kitty. (By the way, about 20 years ago myBob opted to take his unemployment checks from PA because they paid better than VA at the time. ) Hang in there.

Anne Marie - I was also sorry to hear about Katie's glasses. Not only do they have to be paid for but she has to go through the drama and trauma of finding new ones all over again!

We sure did! I NEVER hear them and they woke me up. Our dog was going absolutely bonkers over them too. She was traumatized beyond belief, poor thing.

Bernadette - Right now I am trying to decide between the Canon PS SX12 IS and the Kodak ES Z950 and the Kodak is winning. That really surprises me because I have been a fan of Canon point & shoot cameras for a long time!

October 1-10... just sayin'

I will be in WDW on Oct. 2 although I hope by that point I am a FL resident so will be there past that point and not leaving FL on the 3rd.

I am thinking about doing a trip to WDW in May, June, or July. I wanna do Star Wars weekend but also want to be there for Summernightastic. When is the DDA gathering in July? I also want to do DL in August. I am in major need of a vacation and I have vacation/personal time still that needs to be used by the end of Sept.

Although I am still waiting on my trip in Sept to be approved. Its a long story and I don't want to go into it. I am going no matter what.

I hope you are all having a great weekend. Mine has been busy. I am still hoping to go see Alice today but am not sure if it is gonna happen.

The storms have finally eased up a bit--for now! They got really bad for awhile--hope everyone is safe

I have been meaning to come and ask if anyone here has done a relay for life event? My school has a team at an event in May and I volunteered--I know I have to do some fundraising but other than that, all I know is I go overnight for the event...If you have done the event before, please tell me some more information if you do not mind!
