No snow for us! Just cold.

Anne Marie, the beaded jewelry activity at AKL is Wed and Sat from 10 AM - 1 PM. I guess I was thinking it started at 1 PM, but that is actually when it ends.

I took DS to the mall to buy a watch for his birthday. He found a nice one at the Fossil store. His cake just arrived, and we will be going to dinner shortly. :)

You all are making me happy there is no snow on the ground here...I can only imagine how much fun coming up the driveway would have been last night....I cried as it was....it looked so insurmountable.

Elizabeth

Happy Birthday to DS :cake:

I don't have any plain vanilla ice cream, this time I have mint chocolate chip.

Gee think they could have closed before you made the trip? :sad2:

I forgot to say: Kristin's bank closed an hour after they opened, so I had to go make the trip one more time!

Stephanie

My kids love to worry me. I'm surprised that I'm not totally gray by now.

Nick has been complaining for a while that the room goes black sometimes when he gets up or is walking down the hall. We asked the Doctor about it at his 14 year check up and of course they weren't concerned. He has also mentioned intermittant vision issues. We had him checked and his vision was 15/20, yet he still insists that he sometimes has problems seeing the smartboard at school or the clock on the dvr. this morning he had one of his blackouts and said that his body felt like it was trembling. I immediately think petit mal seizure. You have no idea how much I hope that I'm wrong, but his doctor will be getting a call on Monday and further testing will be demanded. Hunter was misdiagnosed for at least 1 1/2 years and I won't make the same mistake with Nick.

You would have thought so, huh?? But the person in charge of closing the banks was not working today and she looked out at 6:00 when there was no snow and promptly went back to sleep. Imagine her surprise when she woke up again at 10:00.

I am thinking we have close to a foot of snow. I measured earlier this afternoon and came up with 8 inches. However, Bob reminded me that he had shoveled out part of the patio for the dog so we think that measurement was off by at least a couple of inches. And then it has continued to snow.

Has anyone noticed the new search feature??? If you double click something in a post a little magnifying glass comes up and then a new little window! Wow!

Happy Birthday Carter!

Happy Birthday Tara!

Ah, the fun part. Getting rid of the lingering cough.
When I went to the doctor for my bronchitis he insisted I have my cholestoral (sp?) checked. He hand wrote me a note with the results saying it was fine AND that the blood work showed that I likely had whooping cough but that the drugs he gave me for the bronchitis would take care of that too.

I need to figure out if I am going to go to my Dad's house today. It's his birthday. But if I am in anyway still sick, that wouldn't be such a good thing to do.

I felt tired and drained at work yesterday and then I stopped at the store to get a coffee pot on sale and felt woozy. Don't know if I'm really up to driving 4 hours. Guess I should call and just ask him.
I hope you stayed home. I'm sure your Dad will understand!

Here are some photos I have put on facebook. It is still snowing here!
