Glynis - I wish your postponed birthday celebration had been better. I also hope the kidlets get better soon!

Good Morning

Sorry to have been MIA, real life has been busy. We finally got Aubrey better, poor little thing had a rough time of it.

My youngest is now 24 and my oldest has a birthday next weekend, we have a birthday party today for our great nephew. January is a busy month for birthdays in the family, my inlaws have 2 children, 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren all in January.

Glynis - Sorry I missed your birthday, I hope you had a wonderful time on your "do over"

Please add our family friend Nadine to your prayers, she lost her husband about a year ago, and was in Birmingham last weekend for her MIL's funeral when her 48 year old SIL had a massive heart attack, her sister was with her visiting him in the hospital, they went back to her daughter's house for a rest, her sister said she wasn't feeling well and laid down on the couch, she had a heart attack and died, that same afternoon her SIL also died. So she has now lost her husband, MIL, sister and SIL, I don't know how they are going to manage but my heart breaks for them.

I've been trudging away on my home improvement projects, I spent most of the day yesterday installing closet organizers in the two rooms that have been completed, I donated three large bags of clothes out of one closet and it is still full, tells me it was way overdue, I have one more closet to go through for me and Richie can do his own I'm sure we'll be getting rid of that much or more from those.

We finally set the dates for our anniversary trip, we will be arriving July 21st and departing July 31st. We are also thinking of taking a side trip to Universal but if we do it will be a one day trip.

I'm trying to hold out until July and save the money for that trip since it's a longer "special" trip, but Richie says he just can't wait that long to go back, lol, we'll see what happens.

I cannot Imagine the heartbreak that they are going through

The ice has melted & now we are getting a lot of rain. It was so foggy out yesterday & last night that you could barely see a step ahead of yourself.

Gary is being stubborn & will not have his foot/ankle checked out. It is swollen very bad & I think is more than a sprain. He can wiggle his toes so I guess that means it is not broken???????

I have today off which means at some point I really need to go to the grocery store, my freezer is looking a little bare!

Hope you all enjoy your Sunday & those that like football enjoy the games!

He could definitely have a break or fracture and still be able to move his toes. Toes move by muscles and have feelings through nerves so unless the break effects the muscles or nerves he would still be able to move his toes. If it is broken and heals in the wrong position he will suffer for the rest of his life or until he has surgery to rebrake it.

Janet and Elin- I hope your husband's both decide to go to the doctors. I broke my wrist/arm in 3 places and was still able to move my arm, fingers and wrist.

Debbie- Sending tons of prayers and good thoughts to your friend and their family.

I had a list of things to accomplish today I have not done any of them. It is just an icky, yucky day outside and I have no motivation. I worked yesterday plus I will be working the next 6 days in a row. So I should have really accomplished something.

Here is what we made and donated for Project Linus.

Personal queastion for DVC owners - how many points do you have?
If you don't want to tell, that is ok.

300 BWV
200 AKV
we had 300 WLV which we sold....the maint. fees were just too much for all those points

Thanks Kristine.

And I hear ya on the maint. fees. John knows someone who sold their DVC because the maint. fees were to much for him.

We just booked OKW today for 11-5 to 11-12, but will try for AK at the 7 month mark.

yep...I am a little conflicted lately. The kids are moving in a direction now that doesn't necessarily fit with a disney trip. They are wanting to do the Nat'l Parks, and some Int'l travel etc.....so do I rent points...sell points...leave it as is....who knows :confused3 Plus with the changes lately with point structures...and doing away with some of the perks...I just don't have the same feelings as I did. Eh, maybe it will pass

Thanks Kristine.

Sophie's science project is complete!!!

The experiment is done & so is her display board..thank heavens! I am told by her teachers that she is very self motivated however at home it's another story!:rolleyes1

Daniel has changed his project 3 times...he has finally decided on "osmosis"..fine so now he's doing his experiment with an egg & vinegar to display osmosis & it's stinking up the house!

Kristine how about using the DVC points for international travel?

:yay: for Sophie being done, sorry Daniel is stinking up the house.

John seems to have gotten a head cold and my throat has been sore all day.

HOORAY!

The plan is for Nicholas to start his tomorrow.

Heidi, we have 210. All AKV.

Becky, nice job on the blankets! :thumbsup2

Anne Marie, yay for having one project out of the way!!

DS got a 97 on his History Day thing, so that was good.

He scrapped the monologue he was considering for the audition, and he has been memorizing a different one. We'll see what his Improv instructor says about it tomorrow. If he thinks it isn't a good fit we will have to find a different one.

We just got home from "The Color Purple". It was a really good show! DS is excited to see the rest of the shows in the season now. "Phantom" is next!

Glynis - I wish your postponed birthday celebration had been better. I also hope the kidlets get better soon!

Thanks, Elin. Leslie is back to normal today! Hooray! Timothy, however, is not. His fever comes and goes, his nose is a goopy mess, and his right eye is filling up with green gunk. Yuck! He's just miserable! His cough is horrible sounding, so we're watching that, but mostly it's the fever that's got me worried. It just won't break for good.

Glynis glad Leslie is better. :wizard: that Timothy gets well fast. :wizard: that the rest of the kids and you and Alan don't come down with it.
