Well we have a house full of kiddies again..everyone has a playdate.:upsidedow

Katie's report card came today..all A's except Spanish (C-) but thats from the wacky teacher she had an issue with (the dancing one) .

This weekend we are going to see what summer camps the kids will go to. We have ones from the school, ones from the county, & ones from the colleges so I am not sure which they will do. Hoping to get up to NY in July sometime & of course hoping for Disney in August...so we are back to August again...trying to find out when new school orientation is so I have the kids back for that but no one knows.

How bad a mom would I be if they missed orientation? (Dan & Katie will be going to new schools)

Good afternoon, DDA!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GLYNIS!!!

Tammi and Kelli - Yeah for new trips! I'm hoping to work on our taxes tonight, at least to get started. I have 1 W-2 and most of the info that will be on the others.

Deb - Sounds like you're doing well on the dance. Impressive!

Janet - Hope that ice clears up quickly!

The planning is going exceptionally well. I've even created a project for the art teacher to do with the kids that works into her ciricculum and into our theme. She doesn't even know the theme, but it will work for both of us :lmao: That means the kids will be making the biggest part of the decorations and they won't even know it until the dance :rolleyes1

Anne Marie, we missed 6th grade orientation. It wasn't ideal, but DS survived anyway! ;) I don't think I would skip high school orientation, though. Well, maybe if they had an amazing website and I was already on their e-mail list. Then I might skip it.

After the tour today I am convinced that IF DS gets a slot he will never find his way back out of the building on the first day. *I* will never find my way back out of the building if I ever venture in there alone! :rotfl2: We will have to put some sort of tracking device in his cell phone so we can send a team in to retrieve him.

The kids take TEN classes. :scared1: Not sure how he will keep track of 10. And I was right when I told him there will be NO "regular" PE classes, only dance. But EVERYBODY has to take it, and it will really be beneficial to him on stage to have some dance training. It is an awesome school. Absolutely incredible. 61 freshman theater slots. We just need ONE of those slots to be for DS!

Elizabeth - stick a Lojack up his butt. That'll work. ;) Lots and lots of :wizard: that he gets accepted. When should you know something?

Wow! More birthday greetings. Thanks, so very much! You've all made my day! Alan was planning on taking me out tonight, but 2 things have conspired to make us postpone. First is Timothy getting sick. He started running a fever, and throwing up while I was at bowling. Poor little guy is so hot, and just doesn't feel good. Second is that we're in the middle of a bad snowstorm! I told Alan we can put it off until tomorrow. I'm not going anywhere, and this will give us more time to have fun without worrying!

Elizabeth - I've got my fingers crossed for your DS. Hope all goes well!

I'm glad the tour went so well and that DH is on board with really wanting it to work. Lots of :wizard: that the auditions and applications go well!!!

Happy Birthday Glynis. :cake:

Hope Timothy is feeling better soon. :wizard:

Elizabeth good luck to DS, really hope he gets a spot. pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Thanks! Letters go out March 12. He will be in, out, or wait listed.

Glynis, I am sorry Timothy is sick! I hope he feels better soon! Sorry your birthday plans have been postponed, but I wouldn't want to go out in the snow, either!

We booked our flights to Barcelona and hotel yesterday. Our flights were $459 per person a direct flight from Philly to Barcelona. Today the same flight is $2500 per person.:goodvibes:scared1::cloud9::eek: We also got our Give a Day, Get a Day Disney vouchers.

We still need to figure out how we are getting to the hotel, we are probably going to take a bus or the train. Then we need to figure out how to get to the port. Plus one night hotel in Fl, rental car for a day and flights home from FL, but the airline we typically fly home on does not have flights yet for that time.

Plus we need to figure out what excursions or activities we are doing.

Thanks, I'll have to keep asking around & see if anyone remembers how they did it last year. Good luck to DS!:yay: I want his autograph before he becomes famous.:worship:

Good timing on the pricing!

Kelly yay for the new trip. I can't believe your taxes are already done. We've only received 1 W-2 so far. It will be a while until we can file.

My return was sitting at the IRS on the 13th waiting for it to open on the 15th. My refund will be in my account on the 29th. Woo hoo! Can you say pay off my cruise!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Janet,
Wow, that ice sounds terrible.:wizard: for everyone.

Kelli,
Yay for DL! Someday we have to get out there.

Kristine,
Same at ours. My kids LOVE T.P. & we have those low water saving toilets which wouldn't even flush my goldfish's poop down so you can imagine the fun over here!

Yes, we have the low flow shower heads and the low flow toliets. Fun and games with the wrap the t.p. all around the hand a couple of times until you have a catcher's mitt with my family too. Happy happy joy joy. We have a plunger on each floor.:headache::headache:

I'm tired and it's only 11. I had to meet with the 8th graders this morning to discuss fund raising and volunteer time. Then it was off to inventory previous years Dance supplies. I really only saw some tables that we could use, but at least I know where we stand. From there we went to a local day care that allows us to use their space to make the decorations for the grad dance, we now have a space to begin storing things as well as a place to meet and work. I stopped at our town halll and reserved space on the community board for our event and went back to school to firm up some other plans. Wow, this is becoming a full time job. The Guidance counselor looked at me as commented that I must be a Virgo because I'm highly organized and on top of things. Oddly enough he was right :lmao::confused3 Why can't I organize my house as well as I can other things?
I tip my hat to you Miss Fundraiser! You go girl.:woohoo::woohoo:
