DDA Chapter 24

Really??? You are giving me hope. I just hear so many horror stories about July, but I guess if I could handle the Christmas crowds maybe July won't be as crazy.

The only time we noticed them when we went was at Illuminations......they were awful there.

Crazy day.

Momboss is out of town, Dadboss took his car in for service yesterday and they didn't give it back, he is in some crummy loaner van. Then his boss scheduled an 8 AM meeting for today. He was late for that, because I can't get here before 8 AM! His boss knew that though, so it was OK.

Princess had her 4 year old well check yesterday and she is a mess today. She didn't sleep last night - she looks horrible. Her nap has been very fitful.

Pixie must be growing because she is STARVING. She hasn't napped well today, either.

DH had a ton of displays to build and nobody to help him, which is how it usually goes. He will just barely make it in time to get DS from rehearsal. Tonight is the "parent meeting" for the band field trip to San Antonio. I fully expect DH to be the only one there. It is possible even the band director won't show up, because that's how he is.

I need to bathe both girls and go to the grocery store, but right now they are sleeping so I have to wait for them to wake up. Sigh. I did manage to do a load of laundry and pick up the dry cleaning.

Princess is awake, she has low grade fever.

Pixie is asleep.

DS has decided he doesn't WANT to go on the band field trip because none of his friends are going, so DH can blow off the meeting.

They were supposed to announce Red cast and Blue Cast for the play today. That will determine how many shows DS gets to do - 2 or 3. But now they are saying they can't decide, so we wait. Tickets go on sale Wednesday. If they expect me to buy tickets I expect to know WHICH SHOW my kid will be in!

The dishwasher wouldn't turn on, but I finally got it.

Our poor goldfish is floating upside down in his tank. No, he's not dead. From what I am reading online he has "swim bladder". I cannot feed him for a day & see how he feels. When we got home from NY he was all curled up in the bottom of his tank & seemingly not doing well. I got him new food & cleaned out his tank every day for a week & now he is more perky than every...except for the upside down thingy he seems very happy. We have had him for 3 years & he is big enough to make a nice sandwich so I do not want to loose the little bugger now.

feed the fish peas...thawed frozen peas. sounds crazy..but it usually works.

I read that today..I assume you take the skins off? I do not have any in the freezer so I'll get him some tomorrow. Thanks.

I don't think so....this is going back a million years...but I really think I just threw some peas in the fish bowl. After that I swear I had to change the diet to brine shrimp. Fish lived forever until it committed suicide

I think she is having a reaction to the shots. Somewhere in one of the 4 (or a combo of the 4) something has made her kind of sick. No school tomorrow, so hopefully she will be recovered for her party on Saturday!

Anne Marie, DS's fish is easily 8 years old. I thought it had to be some sort of record, but it turns out goldfish actually live a REALLY long time! One day not too long ago he was kind of floating on his side, gasping. As soon as I changed his water he was fine. I hope your fish recovers soon!

Good question...I remember the guy telling me the little round pea was supposed to force the air out, or clear the blockage...or I swear he told me to stick a pin in the fish
