Happy shopping, Elizabeth!
So, we did end up going to midnight Mass. It was really nice, and once things started the kids got their second wind. By the time we got home it was 1:30something. The best part was that I arranged for Santa to come while we were out. When the kids walked into the house and saw all the presents they we sooooo excited. I let them each pick one thing to open. Nicholas opened a Star Wars
Lego set and Alyssa chose her stocking. Santa always brings them an ornament each year, to signify an event of the past year. The one they each got this year was a doggie ornament, a dog bone that was personalized. It said "Shane & Peanut, Always Remember.......2009". Alyssa became so emotional and started crying. I told her SAnta didn't want her to be sad, but to think of them every year and remember the happy times as we decorate the tree. I think I finally got everyone in bed a little after 2. By 8:30 everyone was up, Bob came over, and we started opening presents. Santa got an A+ this year. Everyone really seemed to enjoy what they got. We played Band Hero for quite awhile. I'll admit, it's addicting. I shoulda been a rock star.

Bob got me some Donna Karan perfume, a Jim Shore Sorcerer Mickey and a 4 remote battery charger for the Wii. AFter presents we ate French Toast Bake and played all day until dinner time. I had a spiral ham, and all the usual Christmas fixings. The kids went over to their dad's at 4 to get more presents. They will be home tomorrow night. This was the best Christmas I've had in a long time.
