Glad you enjoyed the movie, Theresa! Sounds like it was the perfect plan. We gave Terra the original on DVD along with the three Chipmunk beanie babies today (for some reason they only made Brittany so I just got the boys). She's now on the floor replaying the (new) movie now.

Christmas was quiet here. We spent the day planning our Feb./Mar. trip. My favorite present was from Chuck. He finished off the top of my pantry closet. I've been wanting that done for years. It looks fantastic. He also put in a door with a window into the breezeway. Those are my favorite types of presents.

Those are great presents!! A quiet Christmas sounds lovely.

Do you know where the teacher was from?? I couldn't figure it out.

I think I would love the soundtrack from the movie.

So I took a page out of my mom's book and told everybody we were going to a movie (I made my mom take us to Ghostbusters when she was going through a rough time...she remembers it even now as the best mood lifter) and I waited until we were at the movie theater to choose the movie....we went to Alvin and the Chipmunks. It was a cute movie and a good way to end a fairly cruddy day.

My girls enjoyed all of their presents and laughed at one of mine. My mom gave all three of us girls hobo gloves....I put mine and the first giggle was that my pinkies barely poke out of the holes and the second was the only non-texter (me) got the hobo gloves with little flaps to expose the thumbs. :rotfl: (similar to these http://shop.freehands.com/ except they convert to mittens)

Sounds like just what the doctor ordered!

I couldn't figure it out either. I agree on the soundtrack. It had a lot of fun songs on it.

Now that I have enjoyed my yummy pie and quit drinking my coffee since I just remembered that Chris made it and it's the caffinated kind, I think I'm going to go hang with Terra for a little bit before heading to bed. Night all!

Good morning! I'll race ya' to the mall!! It's the best day of the year!! I actually have Dec. 26 in my contract as a holiday so I can shop.

We had a nice day yesterday. DH played with his new lens. My boss made a delicious dinner, Princess got more stuff than 10 kids need (which is EXACTLY how it used to be for DS), we had a really enjoyable evening. :)

DS and Princess had a big time with her zhu zhu pets. She didn't ask for them - somebody sent them to her. I don't think she had ever heard of them before. They are kind of cool!

Happy shopping, Elizabeth!

So, we did end up going to midnight Mass. It was really nice, and once things started the kids got their second wind. By the time we got home it was 1:30something. The best part was that I arranged for Santa to come while we were out. When the kids walked into the house and saw all the presents they we sooooo excited. I let them each pick one thing to open. Nicholas opened a Star Wars Lego set and Alyssa chose her stocking. Santa always brings them an ornament each year, to signify an event of the past year. The one they each got this year was a doggie ornament, a dog bone that was personalized. It said "Shane & Peanut, Always Remember.......2009". Alyssa became so emotional and started crying. I told her SAnta didn't want her to be sad, but to think of them every year and remember the happy times as we decorate the tree. I think I finally got everyone in bed a little after 2. By 8:30 everyone was up, Bob came over, and we started opening presents. Santa got an A+ this year. Everyone really seemed to enjoy what they got. We played Band Hero for quite awhile. I'll admit, it's addicting. I shoulda been a rock star. ;) Bob got me some Donna Karan perfume, a Jim Shore Sorcerer Mickey and a 4 remote battery charger for the Wii. AFter presents we ate French Toast Bake and played all day until dinner time. I had a spiral ham, and all the usual Christmas fixings. The kids went over to their dad's at 4 to get more presents. They will be home tomorrow night. This was the best Christmas I've had in a long time. :goodvibes:

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. :woohoo::woohoo::santa:

I am on my way to Toys R Us to return the DJ Hero for the Wii. It is too old for my 6 year old grandson. He can barely play the band hero.

Way to go Chuck. You two seem so in tune with each other :goodvibes

I'm glad to read that everyone had good Christmases even if there were a few bumps along the way. :goodvibes

I need to head out to pick up a prescription refill for Hunter and a few storage solutions for the Wii games and items that we bought for the cruise so we don't need them until July. Chris has been picking up today. I'm still fighting a cold so I'm not feeling terrific, but I really do need to get moving. Between Hunter's medical crisis, Christmas and my cold, I feel like I've been through the mill. Oh well tomorrow is a new day :hippie:

Stephanie - I love your Christmas card! What a great picture of you!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas, we had a really nice day, Aubrey was the life of the party, she really enjoyed all the boxes, and was more interested in her brother's toys than hers.

She wasn't too sure of Santa this year,

I don't have a copy of Brandon's Santa picture yet.

I'm excited. I just discovered that the Flower & Garden show starts on March 3. We'll be there until March 7. I'll get to experience another first at Disney.

It's so beautiful. You'll love it!

What a nice picture. Santa looks like the real deal :thumbsup2

We've been playing Wii most of the day. We've determined that I suck at tennis and have the body of a 51 year old :sad2: At least I was in the normal weight range:rolleyes:though on the high end. Chris needs to lose 80 lbs to hit the normal range :lmao: That isn't even reasonable for his body build.

You'll love it. The flowers and topiaries are amazing. I haven't been in years, but have fond memories of it.
