Stephanie you will have a wonderful time in Disney with your grandson! Garrett & Riley really enjoy Disney Quest, lots to do to keep busy with. As for the weather, when Gary & I went in March last year the weather was perfect. Got very warm during the day & chilled off some at night. I think we went later in the month though, so that might not help you much. Have fun with the planning!

Theresa glad you found a laptop for Cassidy :thumbsup2 I am keeping my fingers crossed that Garretts arrives today.

Jen how exciting going to Dallas again, have a great time!

Beth I enjoy the boys being out of school as well, luckily there were no problems getting them going this morning(which is unusual).

It is just to darn cold here, I am ready for Spring!

I GOT YOUR CARD! It was in a pile left by the dog sitter! I love you and Sailor Mickey!

Yes, I drove to WDW last month. The trip down I did by myself. It was not a bad drive at all. I would plan to do it in two days, if you can. Coming back Bob and I shared the driving and did it all in one day. We just wanted to get home. But again, I would do it in two if you can.

Oh phooey. I'll send it right away. I didn't write down who I had already sent to and then when I got the new set, I sent to everyone I thought I had missed.

My travel dates are March 6 thru March 10 or 11th. My grandson and I are headed to Disney World instead of my DGD's cheer competition. Twelve hours of sitting on a stadium bench to watch her for two minutes is just not in our future. He's 6 and I promised him a trip to Disney sometime, so this sounds just as good as any. I am only 60 days out and haven't even thought of food.

I'm going to need a ton of help. I will not discuss this on FB. At all.

Last year in March the family went to Hilton Head for spring break and almost froze to death. What will the temp be in Disney in March? He's got plenty of energy and is usually very good for me when his sister is not around.

My son won't go to Disney right now, so it will just be him and me. He has a 4 day ultimate park hopper and 5 or six "specials" water park and Disney Quest days. I've never been to Disney Quest. My DD said he really enjoyed it when we were there last time. I have a Disney Quest ticket, so that will be one day. He LOVES Disney World. We'll have to stop and see Lightning Mc Queen and Mater. His bed and Tv are Lightning Mc Queen.

He loves Soarin and Test Track. I need to plan our days. But before I do anything, I need airfare!!!!

Geez Louise I'm looking at the news about all this airline stuff. Elin, did you drive to Disney one time??? Robyn, you drove to Disney with kids, what do you do to keep them occupied?

Oh, I'm about to be a real PITA!!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

Good morning, DDA! :sunny: (dang, it's cold out!)

Opinions please.....

We will have a rental car, and our flight arrives around 10. Should we head straight to MGM or go to AKL and check in first? If we don't check in in the morning, we won't do it until evening hours. Does it matter? We don't have the dining plan, so we really don't NEED to check in first.

If you were getting in later I would say check in 1st so you could drop off your luggage & stuff. But beings you get in early I say go to the park lol

The only thing I wouldn't like about going straight to the park is having to unload the car after a flight and then a day in the park, even if the room was ready you could leave your things with bell services.

The Linus project sounds nice, but seeing as I have no skills, I am thinking of a food pantry worker. I can't believe you have to be at least 55 to make food for Habitat for Humanity. :confused3

Ours was shipped this morning....I am thinking we already have a better experience than yours. Yours should have said more than it has been notified to ship (that usually means that it is sitting waiting for the place to send it).

I am waiting till Thursday(says it was shipped parcel post & would be 2-9 days). Thursday will be 9 business days not including Saturdays. If it is not here by then I am filing a dispute.

I did not get a reply from the seller & that does not make me happy. Communication is a wonderful thing when used!

Tammi,
I would want to go straight to the park.:thumbsup2

Janet,
Sorry about the issue with the laptop. Hope you get a good result.

Could you take him to an aquarium instead?

He's been on the Seaworld website so he knows the difference

The boys are back in school :cool1: I've already been grocery shopping and ran a few errands. It's nice to have some time to myself. I do go back to work tonight, but that is still hours away. The weather here is a regular heat wave. We're expected to reach 27 today :rotfl: It really is noticably warmer than it has been though. Somehow we even missed the Nor Easter. An hour and a half from here got 33+ inches of snow. We got maybe a couple of inches. Can't say that I'm disappointed that it missed us;)

I need a recipe, something to send to a birthday party, all adults.

Thanks for the responses. I'm leaning toward heading straight to the park. This will be our only MGM day, so I want to get there as soon as possible, to get as much accomplished as possible.

Are you checking in online? If so, I would say go ahead and go to the Studios to get in a full day. Of course, if you check in online, there is a very good chance your room will be ready when you arrive!

I would head straight to the park since it is your only MGM day.

Sorry to post and run this morning...had a couple of errands to run and get my haircut and I didn't realize the time.

Stephanie-I didn't get a card....but don't worry about it.

I have loved each and every card I have received this past holiday season...thank you for brightening my days.

Here's hoping everybody has better 2010's than 2009!!!
