I got an email back from the Linus project. We are all set and can mail the blankets in :cool1: Sizes from 36"x36" and up. I'll have to see what I've got for material in my basement and then hit Joann's tomorrow. I'd like to get this done ASAP before the 1 milllion tickets are gone. I bet it won't take long. I just need to pick a date for them to receive the blankets. I'll do that after Joann's tomorrow.

Janet-Cassidy says thank you....you gave me the idea to look on ebay for her for a laptop...and we got one this afternoon....it is a bit older but it is refurbished and she wanted it so there we go!!

Anne Marie - thanks for posting all of the pictures. I'm so ready to go now. My dates for Dec '10 are 17-23. After seeing your crowd pictures, I don't know!

Chanon - love Alex's latest picture.

Well, I have all the clothes laid out. There is something to be said for traveling in the summer. All you need are shorts and tees. In winter you need everything!

neat, I just got the one saying they have notified project Linus that I am interested.

Jen enjoy Dallas. The Cowboys looked great! We stunk up the place. Can't blame bad calls, the refs, nothing. We were outplayed. :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Anne Marie, love the trip report. You took great pics.:dance3:

Deb, the Linus project sounds made for you.:dance3::woohoo:

I went through all of my craft totes and pulled out odds and ends of fabric, some of which is yards upon yards. I think I have enough fabric to make all the blankets without a trip to Joann's. I can even coordinate colors:lmao: I knew I'd use all that fabric someday.:rotfl:

Well I would not suggest a first timer go during that time but if you have been many times & you go for the holiday decorations & fun then you will have a great time. Even with the crowds & staying off site we had one of the best trips ever. I hope we can go the same time next year but that would again have to be a cheapy hotel or on marriott points.

I agree, packing was a nightmare. I brought like every piece of clothing my kids had!!!!!

sweet,

I will have to go to Joann's, Walmart or Hancock fabric

Are you flying? If you are checking bags DO NOT put all of the important stuff in one bag. Keep shoes, jackets, and rain gear WITH YOU because you will lose HOURS of time going in circles if ME loses your bag. Had they lost one of my checked bags in August I could have gone for nearly a week without it. Winter and rain change the dynamics of everything.

I hate science fair. I know that comes as a huge shock to all of you.

Research is done, all of the stuff we need to do EXCEPT the display board is complete. I did BUY a board, so we have it, it just isn't done yet. OK, it isn't STARTED yet. So I look at the stupid guidelines and it says the stupid project is due WEDNESDAY! :scared1: ACK! :faint: The Science Fair isn't until the week of MLK day. She can not be serious about wanting the whole thing - display board and all - on Wednesday. She can't be. I think we could pull it together by Wednesday, but if he takes it to school on Wednesday and it gets shuffled around for 2 weeks it will look like crap by the time the Fair rolls around. Not to mention that the research folder and display board may become separated. Not cool. In the past we have been able to attach everything to the board, but this year he has an observation notebook and other stuff. Grr. I HATE science fair.

We are probably doing blankets as well. Then all 4 of us need to go and drop them off at the place which is about two hours away. So we will just make a Short road trip out of it.

The closest Linus to me that is signed up is requiring every family member to show up when you drop off the blankets. It is over 2 hours away. What is the zip code near the Linus that is letting you mail the blankets in?

Thanks!

The one for me said we could do it at one of their days or do it at home. If we did it at home had to include pics of every member helping with the blankets.

We are just going to turn it into a road trip and plan some things on the way there and back.

This is the email for us:
Hello!!! The blanket making opportunity may be done at any time since you will craft the blanket with your family at home . I will attach a document that describes what type of blankets we need. If you would like to proceed, review the email you received from Disney, as that explains that you must add the date you will volunteer (remember....YOU choose the day) on the Disney website. You also include the information on all family members. This will trigger an email to me and add your info on my volunteer list. Be sure to check the FAQs on the Disney website:

When should they announce it? That is very exciting. Will you Dad just stay there or is he coming home and going back?

Two questions:

One, did everyone get their Christmas card from me?

And two: Deb, could you tell me a bit more about the Airtran coupon you have?

Thanks

Jen - What weekend? This weekend is going to be COLD - temps in the teens, so bring warm clothes. Pixie's baptism is Saturday so I am going to be frozen solid.

Stephanie - Yes, we got your card. SO cute! Thanks! :)

I got your card Stephanie, thanks to everyone who sent them, I got a lot of great pictures.
