Kristin has a dental appointment this morning so it is interesting around our house right now. Have I ever mentioned that she doesn't so mornings?? :rotfl:

Becky - I am glad you had a good time in NYC!

Bernadette - it sounds as if you have everything about ready to go and all your bases covered! :thumbsup2

Tammi,

I remember seeing a post from you regarding the Driod phone. I just wanted to tell you that after that original problem with the first phones (which must have been defective) we have been more than happy with the phone. I can connect to the internet (& dis when I am not home:thumbsup2). The navigator is a life-saver & very reliable. I have apps for the phone to be a calculator, flashlight, compass, interactive star map, instant messaging, & many other things. I can check weather, traffic, & I have this cool app (called barcode) where you take a picture of a barcode on an item you are shopping for & it gives you the competors prices. It's also a camera which takes pretty good shots.

The only thing I would change is the battery life which is too short.

Other than that I think you would like it.

Good morning. :)

The kids and I have routine dental appts. this morning. I'm going to inquire about braces for Nicholas. At what age do they usually do them nowadays?

You are right -- they should wait until all the teeth are in or it takes much longer for the braces... which means more appointments... and usually more money. Andrew is about to get his off after 15 months.

Morning!

Robyn - I'm so happy for you! Please don't feel bad. There is no reason too. I wasn't even here for it!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That's fantastic! What a great thing!

Congratulations Robyn!!!!!!!!!!!

Robyn
Congartulations!! Sounds ideal!:cool1:

Robyn that is so awesome. I hope this is what you're meant to do:thumbsup2

Congrats!!!!!

:woohoo:Congratulations!!!

Thanks everyone again, lol!!

Becky- Many good thoughts for your friends. Sounds like a fabulous time in NYC!

Bernadette- I hope you feel better! Have a magical trip!!!!:wizard:

I had a fantastic time in NYC yesterday. I went to ESPNzone and we used the D23 special where you show your card and get a burger, non-alcoholic drink and $15 of game play for $20. They had not had anybody do this promo yet at this location, so after research on their part we would good to go.

After that I wondered the city some and then headed to see Mary Poppins on Broadway. I had an awesome seat, as I was in the center of the 4th row of Mezzanine. The ticket was about half price. The show was great, I loved it the cast did a great job. We went and waited at the backstage door. It was after 2am till I got home. Then I went to work, I should be exhausted but am pretty awake. I am heading to bed soon.

You can check out my pictures on Facebook.

Two of my friends from college have lost their Dads in the past 3 days. The one died from a freak accident, a beverage cart slid on him and they could not get it off of him. The other one died of cancer, his Grandson Mason was the baby I had asked you to keep in your prayers as he was born prematurely. Baby is doing fine and came home from the hospital at the start of the year. So don't forgot to tell your family how much you love them.:goodvibes

I'm so glad you had a good time in NYC! Wish I could get to see Mary Poppins. I adore the music!

I'm so sorry about your friends. What a hard thing! Thanks for the reminder to tell our families we love them.

I'm just doing backups of my photos so I can erase my memory cards.

I can't remember when I last posted. I did manage to finish Emma's birthday dress, her Safari shirt (still need to sew on the buttons-can do that on the plane or in the hotel room), and her safari PJ's. I got her quilted jacket almost done but it just wasn't working-cute idea but it didn't come together well so I had to give up on it.

A neighbor is going to get Lizzy to band with her daughter Lizzy's age and get Joe on the bus with her son Joe's age. That way DH can take me to the airport and help me get the luggage checked in.

I'm still not feeling 100% but am hoping I'll feel better in Florida. The weather forecast looks good. I'm sure Emma will have a blast. She is SOOOOOO excited!!!

Wow! Somehow I missed that this birthday trip was so soon! I hope you and Emma have a wonderful time! I know you will. Here's some :wizard: that you feel better soon!

I'm up and fundraising  I had hoped to pound the pavement today, but the furnace guy had to come back to finish connecting Chris' shop to the wood furnace.

So what would be the best source for getting cds or music downloads donated? I can't seem to find any music companies with donation request addresses.

I think I found a Radio Station that will donate some cds and free advertising

Tia, I hope you get to catch your breath ;)

That I am! I sent the car to work with Phil this morning, got out long enough to take him some lunch and now I'm pretty much done. Tuesdays just wear me out sometimes. Today we're just doing some clean up, Christmas take down, and computer catch up. All easy enough.

Guess what?!?!!
...I got the position at the center right around the corner from my house!!!!! Actually, I was to interview for an Infant & Toddler lead, but they called me an hour before the interview and told I was short the "experience" and 1 certification class. But they wanted me to bring in my college transcript and basic certifications so they could add it to my resume. I did that yesterday morning and briefly, like all of 5 minutes, talked to the director. She said she'd hold onto my resume and call me when they had something available. I was a bit sad, but imagine my surprise when I got a phone call yesterday afternoon offering me a 4 year old teaching assistant spot. It is not as much money, but the money saved on gas and commuting will be worth it!!! I start February 8th. So I get a few more days to enjoy the girls and what not!!

Woohoo!!! That's great that it's so close.

Good luck! Is there any kind of music store nearby you could get a gift card for CDs?

I can't wait to get it!

No cavities. Thanks for the info about braces. Seems he has some more baby teeth to lose yet.

I think I found a Radio Station that will do free community service announcements as well as donate cds :cool1:

Very cool! I hadn't thought about a station donating CDs. That was a great idea.

I guess I've had an oddly productive day. I worked on more fundraising letters, did our budget paid our bills and completed my to do pile of paperwork. Those were all things that were on my eminant list. Tomorrow I will have to start pounding the pavement and get my car fixed. There is a recall on it so I need to bring it by the Ford Garage. One of my best friends is the service writer there so he said he would fit me in anytime :goodvibes

I'm like Deb, I guess. I've been quite productive. I've spent most of the day studying for my class. I can't say that I'm really enjoying it, but at times it's kind of like a treasure hunt, to find the correct medical code.

I've also done 2 loads of laundry, 1 load of dishes, corrected the kids homework, gone shopping, and made dinner. Wow, no wonder I'm pooped!

I think I'll veg in front of the tv for a while. Anything good on tonight?

Morning. More studying on tap for me, today. Got to finish up this module and take the exam. The instructors tell me that this is the longest and the hardest. Good!

Have a great day!

Good morning :)

My nerves are shot just from walking to my truck & back, it is solid ice out there  Every school around us canceled except here. I am sure the bus drivers appreciate that :sad2:

Off to work!
