DDA Chapter 23

They won, 30-0, in the drizzle. John kept me up to speed with texts on the progress of the game, since I was missing it. So now they are 3 and 1, with 2 regular season games left to go. Then playoffs. The team is really playing great, and I love this coach. He is very good with the boys. Hopefully he will be here next year too.

How was Brandon's game, Debbie?

Brandon's team won 14-6, this was their third game and the third time they payed on the rain, , I'm not sure they'll know what to do if they ever have a game where it doesn't rain.


Heidi - Sorry about all your plumbing issues, our leak was an easy fix but a portion of the floor is definitely going to have to be replaced, laminite and water are not a good combination.

Theresa - Cassidy looked great, is the shoe thing a new trend or some thing they did on their own. My youngest DD would have Loved it, she doesn't get along well with heels.

Janet - Garrett looks so handsome, and I swear he's grown a foot since we met you!

If you see me lurking here today, shoo me off, I have tons of housework and laundry that need to be done, not to mention someone needs to go get some groceries.

Yay for Brandon's team too.

My weekend has been going pretty well. I tamed the other computer. Drove over an hour to a friend's house and we had dinner and then took our three laptops to Starbucks so we could all be online at the same time . (This friend has an aircard for internet.) C & I showed her how to get on FB while I harvested pineapples and blueberries (big bucks) I hope to be able to level up tonight!

Her first search on FB brought up her friend from high school! So she's hooked. I have a really busy day today. Church, breakfast, Costco, football, laundry, change my closet from summer to fall. Tired juat writing it all.

Boo for my desktop being weird. I think it may be on it's last leg. Which sucks, because it is only about 4 years old. I have run every sort of scan and sweep and there is nothing, but if the computer gets turned off it is a 12 hour battle to turn it back on.

When my friend Lauren got married the whole entire wedding party wore sneakers. The bride owns tons of different sneakers and she wanted everyone to be comfortable.

Please don't take this the wrong way, because I am truly just asking... Janet - are those dresses as short as they look? And is that the style that is being worn these days? And, by the way, I feel REALLY old asking that!!

when I saw the dresses I had the same thought.....but I am an old fogey.

Janet-they are cute girls!! and Garrett is handsome (Cassidy told me that not everybody takes 100 pictures every time they take pics...I told her I only took 50 this time and I wouldn't have gotten some of those great candids if I had limited myself).

Poor Lauren (the one in the black and white dress). Dinner was made by her mom...so it was at her house. Which turned out to be a very good thing as she got run to the bathroom sick in the middle of dinner and couldn't go to the dance. She seemed fine when we were there so I am hoping it was a quick onset and quick leaving (and not contagious) bug.

that would be Cassidy and I am not exactly sure what happened with Josh other than he is an 18 year old kid who had no true foundation in his life, so he's floundering between being a kid and an emancipated adult. Cassidy won't give me details (and I don't really expect them) and he is becoming snippier on Facebook when I talk to him, I'll just keep reminding him that he is still welcome over here any time he wants.

I just asked Cassidy if they were part of the trend or trend setters...."Trend Setters, of course" was the answer.

Though she just regaled me with a story of a dad saying he didn't think the Converse thing would work while they were dress shopping for Julia's dress.
