Thank you all so much! :grouphug:

Noah decided to wake up three times last night, so I'm sure I'll be a zombie today. I'm going to try very hard not to stress out over the next two weeks. There's not much I can do, except take care of myself and the baby, and pray and pray and pray.

Luckily, I have plenty of things in my life to distract me. :thumbsup2

Time to get Alyssa ready for school and Matty and Noah ready for a playdate. Kevin is up and moving, but he has requested a Phantom of the Opera mask. ;)

Happy Friday, DDA! :wave2:

Heidi I am not ready for snow, it is to early!

Theresa how did it go with the interview yesterday?

I wish I could say I had an ideal experience at my ultrasound today, but we have a bit of an issue.
:hug::hug::hug::wizard::wizard::wizard:

That's the one I was thinknig about. I seem to remember having heard decent things about them. Really, I don't need super great, just not terrible and easy for her to hold.
Joe loves his flip video. The quality is amazingly good for the size, price, ease....plus it is even better now a year later!

Well I either lied to Elin in the PM this morning or John cleared off the deck railings once and there is more snow then what I just measured.
4 1/2" of very wet heavy snow, yuck. (I hope I just lied to Elin, cause I don't want as much snow as I thought there was).
YUCK! 4 1/2 inches is too much! It is cold(low 40's) and wet here again today.

Today is the 45 day mark on my reservation. I'm wondering if I should take Lizzy off the reservation?:sad2: I just don't think all this is her fault. She's never had this problem before. I know that they expect more out of the kids in 5th grade but I think her disorganized teacher is a bit to blame too. She was the only teacher in the 10 the kids have had that didn't have the sign up sheets for parent/teacher conferences at the open house. She just had the room parents call yesterday to make appointments and they are next week-AND....she sent home a slip for parent contact info on Tuesday for the room parents to have on Wednesday. Then Lizzy has this form that needs to be in today for electives (they had to observe a few "samples" before they chose them). She was given the form yesterday-Joe was given the form days ago. It isn't that she isn't keeping up with work academicly-she's just having issues with all the paper work, I don't think her missing a week of school would impact her academics......

Gary & are are going out on Halloween as pirates pirate: I did not really like the 1st outfit that I ordered, so I decided to match up with Gary. He made most of his costume & I have to say it looks really good! Mine is pretty, lots of lace on the dress but way to short. We are going to add more to the bottom :rotfl:

This weather bothers me though, I don't want to freeze, I will have a shawl to wear, but that won't help my legs. I might be wearing Garys pirate coat

I just got an email from my parents saying that they had snow too. Don't know how much though. It's way too early for this kind of weather. Even up in the 'snowbelt'.

Bernadette - I hope you can get to the bottom of whatever is going on with Lizzie. Would a planner or binder help her, someplace to either write down everything that she has to do or give to you, or a central place to collect papers?

Janet - can't wait to see pictures of you both in your costumes!

Good morning, DDA!

Bernadette - Hope you can figure out a way to help Lizzie. It sounds like there is some issues on both sides. I like Tammi's idea about the planner and designated paper folder. Is there something they already do through the school that they can build on. Good luck!

Janet - Sounds like great costumes. Can't wait to see them!

Amy - Hope you can sneak in a cat nap at least. :wizard: Glad Kevin is starting to feel a little better.

Good morning, DDA!

Amy, congratulations on another little boy! I hope that the second ultrasound will show that there is nothing wrong and give you some peace of mind for the rest of the pregnancy.

Heidi, for some reason your e-mail ended up in my spam folder. Fortunately, I try to check that every couple of days. I e-mailed this to you, too.

So far, our weather is looking positive for me to go see Matthew run tomorrow. We had a tiny bit of snow overnight, and there is still a storm watch in effect. They have switched the storm watch to tomorrow afternoon through Sunday afternoon, though, and the weather looks better to the northwest (which is where I'm heading). I wish that it were going to be sunny and 50 for the race, but I'll take any weather that allows me to go see him.

I'm certainly not ready for any snow, but this does look kind of pretty...

Amy - First of all, congratulations on Samuel! What a nice addition to the family... Alyssa can boss them all around and they will all protect her when they are older. :) I hope further tests offer more reassurances. I am also glad to hear that Kevin is feeling better. Hope that trend continues too!

Heidi and Beth - no snow. no snow. no snow.

Anne Marie - Had you heard that Art the Beach Club greeter is retiring this week? It was on the Owner's Locker FB page this morning.

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

After reading what some of the rest of you are dealing with I will not complain about rain and temps in the mid 40s

Anne Marie - Had you heard that Art the Beach Club greeter is retiring this week? It was on the Owner's Locker FB page this morning.

We stopped and wished him well last week. But he was only there one day out of the seven we were there. I think tomorrow is his last day. :(

Anne Marie - Had you heard that Art the Beach Club greeter is retiring this week? It was on the Owner's Locker FB page this morning.

Yes.:sad1:

Tomorrow is his last day.

We hope to be back at the BC next summer but it won't be the same without his happy smile to greet us at the door.

Thank you for your continued prayers and well-wishes for Kevin. Marci and Anne-Marie, thank you for relaying your own experiences with Dana and Randy. As for Kevin, his face still has the terrible blisters, but his pain is finally subsiding. He intends to go to work tomorrow, and hopefully he won't overdo it.

I wish I could say I had an ideal experience at my ultrasound today, but we have a bit of an issue. Our baby boy has two choroid plexus cysts on his head. My doctor is optimistic that these will most likely disappear throughout the rest of my pregnancy, but they need to take precautionary steps since it could also be a "marker" of other things. As a result, I had to give blood for a quad screening, and I will need to go downtown on Friday, October 30th for a level 2 ultrasound.

I'm trying to tell myself that this happened for a reason...Kevin didn't get to go with me, so the baby wanted to make sure Daddy gets to see him, but you know that's easier said than done. Thankfully I had Julie (she used to post here a long time ago) with me!

Alyssa doesn't seem too terribly disappointed another boy is on the way, but Matty is insisting we name him Trevor, since his friend Justine has a new baby brother with the same name. We've picked out the name Samuel Ethan...Sammy for short. :)

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! We're 20 degrees below normal here in Cincinnati, and I'm just not ready for the cold. Luckily, we have a trip to WDW just about a month away. :goodvibes

3 boys is the perfect amount!!! Congratulations. We'll pray that the cysts dissapate before your next ultrasound. I've heard of this before and in all the cases that I've heard about they did dissolve.

Black tights and high boots will help with the chill.

I'm waiting for all the men in my life to get home. I think everything is packed and placed in the middle of my livingroom floor. Hopefully Chris will beat the boys home and we can get the truck packed as it will take a bit of time to dress the boys warm enough for the 20 degree weather forcasted for tonight. Of course I have to be at work at 3:40 so that adds a degree of difficulty.

My brother started questioning our vacation for this summer. Apparently his wife is now wanting to do a cruise. I asked them if they wanted to go before we booked and he made some comment about never cruising again because he gets sea sick :confused3 I have no idea if they will end up going with us or not. We don't mind at all, I just think it is funny because we did ask.

A pirate coat sounds like a good idea. We've been so lucky with weather the past several years on Halloween. I think we're due a cold night....

Bernadette - I hope you can get to the bottom of whatever is going on with Lizzie. Would a planner or binder help her, someplace to either write down everything that she has to do or give to you, or a central place to collect papers?
Lizzy has an assignment book issued from school. I'm not crazy about it because it is undated-so you can't say write on every Tue & Thu to bring home the trumpet. I have to look at it to see if there are enough pages for us to date them.

She also had to have a set of specific colored folders for each subject and one for homework and a set of specific colored highlighters.

The more I think about it the more I think part of the problem lies with the teacher. She gets the "regular" assignments it is all the "other" stuff she's struggling with. If the teacher is as disorganized as I hear then I can see how she would be saying stuff like "oh that paper is due Friday" and I can see how Lizzy would struggle with stuff like that.

Lizzy did not have an IEP but at the start of 3rd grade she did have a "cirriculum accomodation plan". I have to decide this weekend if I ask her teacher if she has seen it or if I ask the school to reevaluate her. She's a bright girl but she struggles with these "executive functions" and I fear she will start to struggle academically if we don't figure out how to help her. I don't think she's just being lazy.

So far, our weather is looking positive for me to go see Matthew run tomorrow.
:wizard:Hope the weather forecast holds!

Tammi-I can't remember what I read where so I can't remember if it was discussed here or not....did you see that LTT will be serving a family style breakfast in place of CP? The characters will be the traditional LTT characters. The CM at AKL IPO said she read something about some peach french toast that sounded good. I ask them to book an 8am ADR for Emma & I.

So I had read on the Dis last night that there was a Disney Visa code out for January. I figured they wouldn't have my AKL CL room but it was worth a phone call. Of course they didn't have that room BUT....the CM said I had an AP Pin. I also read about that but didn't get an email so I figured I didn't have a pin. She changed my reservation to that. So I am paying $10 more per night but I don't have to buy park tickets!!!!:cool1:

AND...the Pin is good until June so I changed my rack rate Pop room for May to an AP package at 40% off with DxDDP for Joe & I.:woohoo: The CM tried to convince me that it was silly to use a 40% off code an a value room and I should upgrade but I haven't done that yet.

ETA: I didn't price out May ressie before I called because I was thinking about Visa deal that didn't go til May. Now I realize that value discount is 30%. hmmm.....maybe I should see how much more a pool view room at AKL would be.....

I did, but I was wanting CP for dinner, not breakfast. We've eaten at LTT for dinner several times, so I'd rather go somewhere different. I booked Ohana instead for that night. Thanks for thinking of me though. I guess CP will have to wait until our next trip!

So I get to go back to work next week. With the exception that I dont lift anything over 30 lbs for 4 weeks. This will be interesting.
