Tammi - I loved the pictures from the game yesterday. The last one says it all, doesn't it? He has that look of utter delight on his face, even with the taped fingers!
Robyn - Poor Lu! And that blanket of
needs to lay itself over your family, I think.

I wasn't going to be the one to toughen him up so I said call her if you want to go home. He just left. He's such a sweet boy though. As soon as we sat down to dinner he thanked me for "such a nice meal." VERY polite.
But I also htink you handled it correctly!
) When she opened the vault the door slid right across the top of her foot. The shoe was relatively undamaged and is wearable, which shocked us all when we saw the extent of the injury. The toenail on the big toe was bent completely back on itself and the flesh was torn from the sides of the nail bed. It was pretty gruesome but our urgent care place took her in right away and took care of her. I was off having my hair done while all this drama took place. Poor Bob had to handle his first family emergency in decades (I kid you not). They both came out of it pretty decently. She is on painkillers and a very potent antibiotic. And she won't be wearing any closed shoes for a while. The dress code at the bank states that closed-toe shoes must always be worn, but her boss is pregnant and can't get shoes on, so the precedent has been set for Kristin to return to work tomorrow in the classiest slides we can find.

We need to go cut some wood today and I was called at 10 PM last night and bribed to work tonight. I was hesitant since school starts tomorrow and the boys need to get back into a routine, but my coworker really wanted to play golf today and threw in an extra $20, apparently I can be bribed
I'll make sure I have the kids stuff ready before I go to work so it shouldn't be too bad. I'm only working 2 hours tomorrow morning, then I'll come home and take the boys to school. I haven't missed a first day yet and I'm not planning on starting now.

for your DD too. Hopefully she'll get a lot of subbing opportunities.
My mom had a similar injury last year. SHe was wearing sandals and somehow managed to hurt her toe coming down some steps. It was during her chemo so I was really worried about it getting infected, but it healed OK.
One of the tellers was grazed by a bullet on her hand, but she is OK.
And no, we don't know when we are going in 2010. Won't know for sure until early to mid-December. But for now this keeps me off the streets.
Fine. I will just leave my ressie alone.
