Depends on which weekend. I am not going away in September (not till October 2) so I ought to be free. Let's keep talking!
The weekends of the 12th and 26th work for me!
The weekend of Sept. 26th would work better for me.
I was just telling Robyn that maybe DS and I should fly up some weekend and go to DC. Enjoy your day!!
On the 25th, of September!!!, you and DS should fly up!!
Happy birthday, Anne Marie and Dana!
Theresa -
Well, my week is over. I've worked 10 hour days so tomorrow I'm off. We are going to take the train up to DC and do some sightseeing. We are planning on seeing Ford's Theater (where Abe was shot), the Law Enforcement Memorial (I need to get a few etchings), Jefferson and Lincoln monuments, American Art and American History Museums. I hope the rain holds off until late afternoon.
There is nothing on our calendar for the weekend of the 26th so lets go with that!!![]()

The weather here is horrible. It started pouring rain before 7 am. It is now predicted to continue all day, into the night with some severe thunderstorms along the way. The Adventure day has not been cancelled, but they are going to do it indoors. The coordinator for the Leadership called to let us know, but of course had no specifics as to what they would be doingI finally got in touch with someone at the facility and they plan to spend about 3 hours "talking and getting to know the kids and maybe play a few games" followed by lunch. If the rain lightens up they "may" be able to do a few things outside, if not then they can put the kayaks into an indoor pool and teach the kids how to properly paddle and do simple rescues. 3 hours of kayaking in a swimming pool
My kids do not want to go which is fine with me. Nick feels ripped off because he sat through all the boring night classes and now doesn't get a fun ending. What was originally billed as a ropes course and whitewater rafting (which it apparently NEVER was going to be) is really a team building workshop with lots of classroom time. We're very very disappointed in the organization of the program and if it were offered again we would waste our time.
