DDA chapter 21

Good morning :)

My hard drive went kaput. Just makes me sad for all the pictures I have lost :guilty: Gary kept telling me to transfer everything so now I get to listen to his "I told you so".

Hope you all have a great day! It is cloudy & misty a little here, but for the moment at least it is cool.

Oh no! I'm sorry, Janet. Definitely look into recovery options. Depending on how much is on there it might be worth the cost/effort.

This baseball and the heat and work are kicking my booty. We had a game at 10 p.m. Monday night. :scared1: Today's game is at 3:45 and we're expecting a heat index of between 103 and 106 or higher this week. I think tomorrow we also play in the afternoon, but the games Friday and Saturday are in the morning. Then the world series will be over! :yay: Andrew is having a ball and playing well, and I do enjoy the parents of the kids he plays with so that's a bonus.

Have a good day everyone. :)

Glad things will be over soon! That heat would kill me to be out that much.

I'm off to work again. Have a great evening.

Have a good night!

Work seemed busy tonight, but I didn't wait on as many people as it felt like I waited on. Oh well, it was better than it has been so I won't complain.

So I have a new car as of last night. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 I got an 06 Jetta. It has already been back at the garage.

During the test drive I asked about the one light on the dashboard, I was told it was for the lights. Well he was partially right. It was telling me that there was a dead parking light. It has been fixed and hopefully there will be no more problems.

I hope you are all doing well.

Great news, Becky! Hope you enjoy it.

I had lunch with Tammi and her kids today. :goodvibes They are growing up so much!

Vicki I'm glad that you were able to get away for a few days. It's nice to have a change of pace, even if it doesn't live up to Disney standards ;)

I really need to get my eating back under control. I'm up about 10 lbs and there is only 2 months until my 40th birthday :scared: My New Year's resolution was to be in shape by my 40th so I'd better get my butt in gear or maybe it's make my butt disappear ;)

I also need to get back in gear on this! I am back up to my starting weight when I started more than 2 years ago and lost the 25 pounds. I may even me up a couple more. I think I'm heavier than I have ever been. I need to get motivated! I'm just having trouble getting started.

Chuck still talks about our meal with them. He played a game of peek-a-boo with Alyssa while we were all outside chatting after lunch. He really enjoyed himself with the kids.

I was just coming to post what about what a nice visit we had today. The kids really enjoyed talking with Mrs. H.! And I enjoyed the company, although it was too short. :( How was the sausage?

Alyssa still remembers that too! Occasionally we will look at our group picture of that day and talk about all of our friends that we met that day. I feel that keeps everyone straight in their minds.

Congrats on the new car Becky. I hope you don't have any more things that need to be fixed!

Twice now over the course of the past few weeks I've dreamt that I bought a brand new Honda Accord, midnight blue in color. I have no idea why, it's not even a car that I am interested in. Maybe I should go price them, just to be sure that I'm not missing out on a great deal.

I need motivation as well to start exercising and eating healthy. I need to stop the slide of weight gain before I weigh more then ever.

I start for like a day and then do not continue past that point, even though I am telling myself to continue.

Hopefully we can all find the motivation to be healthier.:woohoo::yay::cheer2:

It's about 60 degrees and pouring rain here. I don't think we will ever have a summer this year :confused3
It is getting old isn't it? I think I have only not worn a jacket into my office on 2 days all spring/summer. We are going to melt at Disney when we get in the heat.

Becky-congrats on the new car!

Tia-congrats on the new computer!

Janet-I hope you can recover your photos!:wizard:

:wizard::wizard: and :hug::hug: to all!!!!

This weather really is a downer! We did have a relatively nice 4th weekend but now the rain is back all this week. We did go to Home Depot and the kids enjoyed that. Then we went to the beach late in the day and even though it was cold (I had to put on a long sleeve shirt) the kids had a blast in the ocean-the water was 64 brrrrr...... Then we went to my MIL's for a cookout Sunday.

Work will be crazy busy for the next few weeks. We have to do a forecast using the 2nd Quarter results and then we'll kick off the budget. The president sent and email today that they are instituting a wage freeze for a year. I was pretty shocked by that. I think they are doing it more because they can than because they have to. I guess we can't complain since there have been no lay offs. I think it was to set a tone for next years budget process.:confused3

I think we will be looking into the goverment's new cash for clunkers program. I need to find out more info on it. It hasn't started yet. They will give you $3,500 if you trade in a car and purchase a new car with at least 4 miles per gallon better mileage. If you get one with 10 miles better you'll get $4,500. DH's 1998 Toyota Sienna minivan has a leak and smells sooooooo bad. I can not stand the smell of him or the kids if they have been in the car. I will NOT ride in it. DH thinks it needs some other work. There is no way we'd get $3,500 for it in a trade. So we are thinking that now that Lizzy is out of a car seat and Joe & Emma are in boosters I could get a sedan again and DH can have the 2006 Sienna. My AWD Sienna gets worse mileage than DH's so we'd be improving my mileage significantly. When we bought the new Sienna 2 1/2 years ago I was hoping we'd get the 5 years of that loan out of the old one. We would have if it didn't have this leak-it only has about 70,000 miles on it. This seems like an opportunity we should at least investigate.

:cool1::cool1:

It seems we have all slipped up. We need to find the motivation together. I start the day with good intensions, but willpower seems to fail me by lunchtime.

The site was down this morning and now I have to run. TTYL

Good Morning!

I stayed up late last night and I'm paying for it now, but I did enjoy spending time with my daughters painting pottery last night.

I ended up putting white mickey heads on a blue bowl, :rotfl:, we'll see how it turns out after it's fired.

Off to work, hope everyone has a good day.

Great news, Becky! Hope you enjoy it.

Yay for a new car! :cool1:

I haven't gained back what I lost, but I haven't lost anything else, either. I did well yesterday (my only cheat was 3 pieces of chocolate, but the bag says that's only half a serving ;)) so we'll see how I do today.

Congrats on the new car Becky. I hope you don't have any more things that need to be fixed!

We had an Accord that we really liked. Now we have a Civic. The plan is to give the Civic to DS in a few years and buy DH a new car. Of course my car will have fewer miles on it and it is a bigger car with more safety features, so we'll see. Maybe DS would be better off in my car.:confused3

Can't wait to see your bowl, Debbie! :goodvibes

Janet, I hope you are able to recover the pics from your computer! :wizard:

Tia, enjoy your new computer!

I think we are swimming today. Princess has a little party to attend this afternoon, but it is in the middle of nap time so we won't stay long.

I was just coming to post what about what a nice visit we had today. The kids really enjoyed talking with Mrs. H.! And I enjoyed the company, although it was too short. :( How was the sausage?

The sausage was WONDERFUL! There was enough for two dinners for the three of us and probably a snack or small lunch for one... Not bad for $5 and $6 a "coil" I would say. In case you all are wondering, we met at our new MEGA grocery store for lunch. We both did a little shopping after we ate. It is truly an amazing place. ::yes::

This is not the best picture since it is still raw and it was with my cell phone:

We had the above-pictured chicken sausage (with spinach, feta and pesto) as well as a pork sausage (with wine, cheese and herbs) done on the grill. (I also picked up a 1/2 pound of their ENORMOUS garlic herb shrimp as an appetizer. We did fresh angel hair pasta with a fresh tomato marinara as our side dish.) And, of course, a bottle of vinho verde to wash it all down with!

The best part? It only took about 20 minutes to throw the whole meal together!

Good morning. :)

I would like to see your bowl too, Debbie.

Did you have the shrimp chilled, Elin?
