okay so we have had a confirmed death here in Tx from swine flu.

they also just reported a confirmed case here in Austin. All school ball games and drama stuff scheduled here is canceled till May 11.

Cassidy has a great boyfriend...he is willingly (guess he asked to) going to Abi's performance in the musical.

okay so how many pages did you get I see if I preorder the CD and book it is 149 is that what you paid?
I don't remember what I paid but that sounds about right. I can't remember the number of pages that it says you get, and then anything after that is more per page. I went over my page limit and didn't get charged. I believe I've read from other people too, that they didn't get charged for more pages.

This is going to get worse before it gets better.

Tammi-I assume you'll be asking for more from ex now that he doesn't want to play nice.:wizard:

Good Morning!!

I went to a very good job fair yesterday!! I had to go to plan C on what I was wearing as not only did my shoes beat up my right foot they also helped my pantyhose run (I hate pantyhose anyway). I actually gave out my resume to a few places and then went and got it ripped to shreds:rotfl: by a resume reviewer. On the way out I told somebody I loved their shell...and rode the light rail all the way back with her....she was great. She came to Denver without a job already lined up.:scared1:
:wizard:

Hello :wave2: It was even slower today then it has been. We did completely change the pool swim direction so instead of 25 yards it is now 25 meters. That meant changing the lane lines, flags and starting blocks. It was quite entertaining watching people try to figure out how to go about doing it ;) I must say that the day went by much quicker than usual :thumbsup2 I decided to pick the kids up at school so that I could follow up with Colby's teacher. It seems that Colby tried harder today and she is now aware of the little girl that has been picking on him (apparently that was some of the perceived chatting). Colby now has strategies for how to handle the situation. Hopefully positive reinforcement from us and daily reminders before school will help him do better.
:wizard:Hope things continue to go well for Colby. Emma hasn't shown any interest in tying her shoes and I know Joe couldn't do it in K.

Emma's diagnosis for the time being is that she is constipated and backed up. She has to have a slew of bloodwork done to rule out things like~ celiac's, thyroid issues, diabetes, allergies, etc. This weekend we are to clean her system out. So she will be taking huge doses of Miralax and on a clear liquid diet. We then need to continue the Miralax once a day until our followup. I need to make sure she gets at least 14-15g of fiber a day and drinks a minimum of 50 oz of clear liquids a day.

Wish me luck this weekend...it's gonna be interesting around here.

They have changed that. Now you pay for extra pages and postage on both book & CD when preordered.

Joe wrote me a birthday acrostic poem (I had to ask him what that was). It makes me even more excited for our trip!

He could have picked a better line for "R":rotfl2:

Happy Birthday
At spring time
Pools at Disney
Pools are cool
You're in Disney for your birthday

Birthdays are great
I love you
Right you're 48
This is so fun
How happy are you
Dashing to the birthday race finish line
At May it's your birthday
You're in DIsney for your birthday

I agree. We were going to go to six flags on Sat to celebrate my birthday. that is out. not sure what i want to do now.

I was thinking of renting some movies. I bought hotel for dogs this morning so I know we will watch that. Any other family friendly movies you guys can suggest. Thinking about bride wars?

What a cool poem. How sweet of him

I think I'm closing in on a breakdown. Between working day and night or working then having Lacrosse which ties up 3 hours on my days off, then having to do wood on my one day off, plus the fact that no one does a thing around the house without me, and the kids can't seem to be nice to one another and I only see Chris in passing, and the whole Colby thing I'm feeling like I'm just need to sit down and cry :sad1: I was hoping that my family would give me support in helping figure out Colby's issues and finding a solution, but they insist that he doesn't have any problems other than he's lazy  So I suppose the fact that he's been in speech for over a year with little progress and the fact that the teacher notices something is just that I have an incredibly smart boy that can manipulate us and the teachers. All I can say is un-frickin-believeable.

Okay, enough of a vent, now back to our happy little home.

This is going to get worse before it gets better.

That is exactly what the CDC is saying. My "inside link" is in almost everyday and he has heard nothing positive from his son. He won't be in tomorrow as his wife has radiation. The CDC is expecting this to be widespread and they have no doubts that we will see more deaths.

:rotfl::rotfl:That's one of those things that you should save forever. How sweet!

 I'm sorry Deb. I do know how rough it is. I don't work 2 jobs, but I'm gone from 7AM until after 5 everyday. Plus activities, homework, housework. It's hard. If I didn't run a tight ship around here, my life and house would be in disarray. Sometime I sound like a drill sergeant, making the kids help out and/or straighten things up, but I can't do it by myself. I can't count how many times they've heard me say that I'm not their maid or I'm not a waitress. I hope you all can work to a resolution that alleviates some of the stress and tension that you are feeling. Also, I think it's your maternal nature to be concerned about Colby than the guys in your family. But since it is the end of the school year, just keep tabs on his progression throughout the summer and see if you notice a change. Hopefully you will. I tend to think a lot of his issues have to do with being the baby.

I'm exhausted and ready to sleep, but if I do, tomorrow will be here and I'll be back at it. If I stay awake I can enjoy a little down time. I left work a little early today to get down to the school to see Nicholas in a little play that they did in music class. His music teacher will take whatever subject they are studying, in this case Mali, and turn the facts and information about it into a musical play. The songs help them to remember the content. It was cute. After that I ran to Walmart and the grocery, came home and unloaded everything, and started some laundry. Then I went and picked up the kids, did homework, made dinner, made cupcakes for Alyssa to take to school tomorrow, finished the laundry (well, not finished completely, just finished the loads I had started), cleaned up the kitchen and got the kids in bed. Now here I am. Whew.

Disney Cruise Line changes itinerary due to swine flu:

Western Caribbean Itinerary Update
April 29, 2009

We continue to evaluate and monitor reports regarding cases of swine influenza in Mexico and the United States, as well as other regions around the globe.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have recently recommended that travelers avoid non-essential travel to Mexico.

As a result of this recommendation, Disney Cruise Line has modified the May 2, 2009 Western Caribbean voyage of the Disney Magic to include a stop in Nassau, The Bahamas, instead of Cozumel, Mexico. Our itinerary will be as follows:

Saturday - Depart Port Canaveral
Sunday - Key West, Florida
Monday - Day At Sea
Tuesday - Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (tender ashore)
Wednesday - Day at Sea
Thursday - Nassau, The Bahamas
Friday - Disney's Castaway Cay, The Bahamas
Saturday - Arrive Port Canaveral

At this time, no itinerary changes have been made to future Western Caribbean voyages. We will continue to monitor and evaluate the situation in Mexico and make future modifications as needed.

Additional information about swine influenza can be found at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website at www.cdc.gov.

Bernadette they are now charging for postage on the pre paid CD. I wonder how much?
I think it is about $8 but I'm not sure. I can let you know toward early June. I think a book for your Mom would be great!

:hug:Sorry you're feeling so stressed!

I've got to agree with Tammi on the baby thing. Emma makes the most of her position in the family. I think DH encourages it. She never goes to the bathroom without telling us she has to go. She rarely gets herself dressed. She often whines/whimpers instead of talking. I won't let her get away with not talking and encourage her to dress herself. She's not reading like Joe was at this stage which makes me feel like I don't spend enough time with her-not that I spent any more time with Joe-he was self motivated to read. As I was typing her she came up to me with a wipe off book we have and asked if she could the math page-she got all those right on the first try-she's my girl:rolleyes1 I wasn't reading in K.
