my brother is home from australia! it sounds like he had such a great trip--
Before he left, i told him I wanted a koala, and i really didnt think id get anything--but he bought me the cutest koala so i was thrilled..

now that we just got in from the airport, im wide awake!

It's a whopping 28 degrees here. I need to remember to start my car early as it has heavy frost on it Not much to report here. I'm working both jobs today so I'll be gone most of the day/night, but I highly doubt that I will be that busy.

I forgot to mention that Hunter figured out the whole tooth fairy, easter bunny, santa thing last night. He went through a range of emotions, but handled the news pretty well. He has been sworn to secrecy and is now my new helper

I need to run out to the grocery store before the kids all have things they want to do. And I need to get some things ready for the big birthday tomorrow. How can I possibly have an 18 year old? And next month the "baby" will be double digits!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes for Mo!! She enjoyed seeing them all (Tammi, Debbie & Deb I'll be sure to show her yours in the morning.) She had a pretty good day, considering she fell down the steps tonight at bedtime and I completely forgot to give her her gifts!! I am so sad though that she is 5.

One day she'll be 15. There. Now 5 isn't so bad, is it?

I was WIDE awake from 1 AM until almost 4 AM so I am sure I will be dragging today. Not sure what we'll do after swimming. It's supposed to be clear, but it's only in the 40's so I don't think I want to loiter around outside. It won't hit low 70's until after Princess is up from her nap.

Like the rest of you I miss all our chatter. But I don't have anything to chatter about! I supposed I could create something. I know...

Last night I was done teaching at 7:00 so I met Bob and Kristin at

for $1 Burger Night! You read that right, folks... $1.00 for a half pound Certified Angus Beef Burger with lettuce, tomato and caramelized onions. Add cheese to that burger and it costs $1.50. Order a specialty burger (The Maytag Burger: Melted Maytag Bleu Cheese is on this tasty burger, topped with lettuce, ripe tomato, caramelized onions and dill mayonnaise, The Smokehouse Burger: Applewood-smoked bacon and smoked Gouda cheese top this burger with lettuce, ripe tomato, caramelized onions and house beer-b-que sauce or The Southwestern Burger: Our half pound Certified Angus Beef Burger with southwestern seasonings, grilled and topped with Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheese) and you will only pay $2.00.

The catch? You have to buy a beer.
With 62 craft and import beers on draught and over 300 selections of bottled beers it is not a difficult task for us! You can also order wine or a cocktail instead.

So, for $50 (which included a 20% tip based on the pre-discounted price) had a beer, a great burger and two shared desserts. Not a bad way to start the work week off!

Elizabeth-the movie was okay...they definitely used some footage from the Planet Earth DVD series. The music was beautiful. There were preschoolers there that were bored silly, the transitions weren't there...it was quite choppy. Abi stated that Arctic Tale was much better.

Lucy had her pre-op appointment this morning. She still has fluid in her ears, although they are not infected. She had to have a hearing test and she missed all of the softest sounds. Her throat is inflamed so she in on yet another antibiotic.

Molly is at a friend's house for a playdate and I will pick her up in a bit and head off to her 5 year well check up. I also need to ask her about getting Em tested for lactose intolerance. We had her on the pills back in kindergarten for a long time and then we slowly backed her off of them and she seemed to do fine. Well the past month or so she has complained of chronic tummy aches and feeling like she has to throw up. I kept asking her if something has been bothering her and she insists things are all good. Yesterday evening she was fine and then she had milk for dinner and about an hour later the symptoms were back. So I'm beginning to think it's not all in her head!

It was wonderful coming home to see that so many people had checked in.


The pool was super slow today and we had plenty of guards to boot. Of course when it was time for me to leave the replacement guard called out When I left there was only one guard for the whole place, but that is not my problem now is it? Let the Head Guard deal with it. I had to rush home to get laundry done before I have to head off to my next job.

It looks like Hunter's friend will be able to go with us on Friday. He will be excited about that. I just need to firm up the details. I need to call Nick's friend's Mom too. I guess I should do this now since I'm only home for another 15 minutes

ETA: Nick's friend can go too. The boys should be happy tonight That means 2 adults and 5 kids at an amusement park It should be fine since Chris and I are just big kids anyway

I hope to have lots to read when I get home tonight. I'm starting to feel like this group is breaking up and I'm praying that is not the case. So post people, post away

Deb-sounds like a grand time is going to be had at Six Flags.

I am doing laundry and finding more jobs to apply to. I swear I have the most interesting life.I have an interview at Target on Thursday.

Cassidy and I had a confrontation yesterday. The band director hit them yesterday with the fact they will be on their own for 8 meals, not the 3 he originally stated. Well that puts me into a panic to find extra spending money because the $50 I am scrounging to find to send her with will more than likely not be enough. She came in and yelled that it wouldn't be enough as I am emptying my piggy bank (it literally is a piggy). I calmed down and went and told her that instead of the attitude I was getting it might make my job easier to give an attitude of gratitude. I am still waiting for that attitude....teens are a hoot, let me tell you.
