I learned my lesson with the angel food cake mess....I did a batch in loaf pans....and put them into 3 pans...it smells lovely.

Tonight is another night of cooking demo/class....this time is Italian. :goodvibes. SO I hope to get yummy strawberries at the store and enjoy this cake a bit more than the other.

I think I must have missed the angel food cake mess. I haven't made one in a long time. I guess we eat them more in the summer because of the fresh berries.

Have fun at the cooking class, and share any good recipes with us.

Syracuse is 90 minutes from here! What's more...Matthew will be going to school in Syracuse next year. (We were just there last weekend.) Come visit your baby brother and let me know when you will be there!

I'm hoping that I'll be able to come out when Jamie has the baby, if not before!

Josh teaches Screen writing and Film studies. He really loves it, and apparently, the school loves him, too. They renewed his contract for another year. If he can hang in there for another year after the next one, he'll have tenure!

Well, I guess it's time to start dinner. I have book club tonight, so I have to have the kids fed before I go.

Thanks, everyone, for your thoughts for dad. He called again a little while ago. They had just boarded their cruise ship, and he was feeling much better. I told him to have the other tour organizer take over for a while, and for dad to just relax on the cruise. He seems to be taking my advice. He was sitting in the lounge with a milkshake, and his book. Sounds like a good day to me!

Of course, the reason he is feeling much better is some pretty fabulous news! My baby brother and his wife just found out they are expecting their first baby in the Fall. They called dad in Paris to let him know. Nothing like the news of your 13th grandbaby to make you feel happier!

I'm glad that your dad is doing better. What a tough situation to deal with. Congrats to your DB and SIL though!!!!

Just a quick hello.... We are finally home for the night. Whew. After MOPS this morning, Terra and I went to Bandana's for a lunch of yummy BBQ. Then it was the Magic House where we play lots, learned a few things and basically just had a great time. After that, we hit Cold Stone for a little bit of ice cream, picked up some holds at the library and headed home.

I'm still not convinced that Terra's not coming down with something, but can't figure it out yet. She had a rough morning at MOPS with several issues and bouts of tears, which is unusual there. Then, she fell asleep on the way home, which wasn't terrible out of character after an afternoon of playing, but has become less frequent. However, when we got home she laid on the stairs saying she was too tired to take her own shoes off. Then, she asked to watch a movie laying in bed because he was tired and cold. She's been just hanging up here ever since. Guess we'll keep playing the wait and see game.

Now though I've got to go figure out some dinner. I think we're just going to do some spaghetti and garlic bread, nothing too exciting, but yummy all the same.

I'll try to catch up with you all later.

Elizabeth have your read the Advanced Dinning Reservation Tips on the DIS home page?

No. But I did call IPO today to pester them. ;) They are making all of my ADRs.

What a neat job! Congrats to them on the baby!

DS is feeling better. I'm glad this was a relatively short illness!

Tia, I hope Terra is feeling better soon. :wizard:

Chuck's mom has finally admitted that she is afraid to be alone at night. We now need to work on how to help her deal with this. Katrina is on her way to be with her tonight. She is coming home from the hospital. I can't remember if I let you all know that she went back in on Sunday night.

Her lumpectomy had to be rescheduled. We also found out that she may need a pacemaker.

She told the home health nurse that she didn't want their help. She told them that she just found her husband dead in the bathroom 6 months ago and she found her father dead in the bathroom about 60 years ago. She told them she just needs to be left alone for awhile.
