Tammi, I'm glad your kids are getting to enjoy the snow! I hope you guys (and your family, Elin!) enjoy the time "snowed in"!

I have to admit, though, I'm THRILLED to not be the one posting snow updates this time! It's cold and windy here, but sunny!

Just a quick pop-in. Chuck is taking his nap and I'm going for a stroll on the boardwalk. It is about 60 degrees here right now. It was 45 when we went to Animal Kingdom this morning. We came back early. No real plans for the day. We hope to head to Magic Kingdom for the Spectromagic Parade and Wishes. We had breakfast at Tusker House. We did the Safari and came back to the resort. It was just too cold to really enjoy ourselves. We have a whole week left so we want to just take it easy.

Hi Vicki! You & Chuck are having the kind of trip that I hope Gary & I will, relaxing!

Vicki, I'm sorry it's somewhat chilly there! Still, I'd take it..... I'm so done being here, and so desperately in need of a vacation

I just asked the same thing of Janet! We do leave on the 5th, bright and early! We plan on leaving here by 5am

It is supposed to be warmer by tomorrow and sunny. It is sunny today which is so much nicer than yesterday. It was rainy & cold in the morning and just cold and overcast in the afternoon.

It is so much better than the snow that we left in the U.P. and that many of you are getting today. I'm glad to hear that so far all of our DDA family seem to be safe and sound.

That's what I've been reading, too. It looks like, despite being FREEZING here today, it should be 50 or so here the day we leave, and 75-80 while we're in Florida!

What day is the race?

The 5K is Saturday which Chuck and I are doing together. We are meeting up with Becky, Jennifer, Kyle & the girls afterwards.

The main race - the Princess Half Marathon (all 13.1 miles of it) - is Sunday. I'm pretty much ready for it as long as I get the blisters and shin splints under control that I've gotten since we arrived on Friday. The issue isn't my running shoes. It is all the walking I'm doing with my other shoes and crocs. I think I have the issues under control now so that I'll be fine.

I got it cut off about 2 months ago. I couldn't stand it especially when I was running. It has really been nice. I got it colored last week. I meant it to be more of a dark blonde color. It turned out more red. I have gotten lots of compliments. It was also nice during the virus outbreak. I was able to get up in the morning, get my shower, comb my hair, and go to work knowing that it would look just as good at the end of the day as when the day started. Considering some of those days were 12-16 hours long with the higher ups, that was important.

The 5K race is just a 3 mile race. That is something I've been doing about once a year without training for years. I've not really been worried about that one. Chuck has been training to do it with me. It should be fun. He has never run with me before.

The Half Marathon, on the other hand, is something that I've dreamed about doing for years but never thought I would accomplish it. Not because I couldn't, but because I wouldn't take the time for the training. I've surprised myself that I did really follow through on it.
