DDA Chapter 19

Bob took this as I was getting ready to go out the door. Everything went smoothly. I think I was just at peace with it. As I said, the hardest part was making the appt. Once I got past that, I was more accepting of everything. I'm having the private cremation, so I will get his ashes in a week or so. Elin, they were wonderful at the Clinic. Plus it helped that they knew Shane, so they were kinda sad too. Or else they are very good at empathizing. :confused3

:( :sad2:  This just made me so sad... but I knew White Oak would be wonderful. They are so good.

Tammi, that is a great pic. I am so sorry for your loss. We had Amanda cremated, and her little box sits here on my computer desk.

If off to bed. Hopefully today will be have us all back to normal or at least nearly back to normal :wizard: Colby is in a play tomorrow afternoon so I will look forward to that.

Thanks, Terry.

Alyssa is okay. Nicholas is taking it hard. He keeps crying.

Lots of extra hugs all around! :grouphug:

Good luck to Colby tomorrow! I'm glad your kitty is doing better.

Hello again, Wendy. I didn't actually introduce myself earlier so here goes...

I am Tia, mommy to 6 year old Terra and wife of almost 7 years to Phil. Terra is my mini-me, lover of Disney and misplaced flower child. Phil is my non-Disney-loving, slightly crazy ( ;) ) husband. We did get him to WDW with us for the first time in September. He was happy enjoying it with Terra, but probably won't go with us again. He did agree to go to Disneyland with us for a day any time we're in CA (his family lives less than 20 min from DL). I currently babysit for an 8 month old little girl and will also have a 3 month old off and on starting in a few weeks.

It's so good to have you join us! We move quickly somedays so just jump in anywhere when you can.

Well, my charge's Daddy finally came home today. He's been out of the country/town since Thanksgiving weekend due to his mom's illness and subsequent passing. Considering that she's only 8 months, he's missed so much. Anyway, she is going to spend tomorrow with him and we have 70 degree weather coming in. Woohoo!!! It's looking like we're packing the day with Chick-fil-A breakfast, the zoo, and some Ted Drewes frozen custard. Terra is very excited as we haven't been to the zoo, or any big outing like that, on our own in awhile. Heck, I'm excited too!

And with that, Rachel needs the computer to study for science so I'm going to get my next book started in earnest. Can I just say that I hate when all of my library requests/holds come through at the same time. I've had 8 books come through in the last 10 days and some of them have people waiting behind me so I've got to get through them all in less than 14 days. I thought I had it all spaced better than that, but I guess I was foiled again. Oh well, good thing I've been on a bigger than usual reading kick I guess. :goodvibes:

Good night all!

Good morning. :) TGIF!

It's amazing. All that snow that we had on Monday is COMPLETELY gone from my yard. Temps then were 27. Today it's going to be 66, and 80 on Sunday.

I'm glad to see that my ticker is back.

Good Morning.

I decided to get up a bit earlier this morning as I want to assess the kiddos before I leave. Colby slept in our room last night and he slept much better than the night before so I have my fingers crossed. Nick was 100% yesterday and Hunter was very hoarse, he kindof sounded like Froggy from the Little Rascals :rotfl:

Last night John called about a resale for OKW, so I am getting the only choice I ever had for DVC.

Tammi,
That is a nice picture. :sad1: I am so sorry Nicholas is taking it so hard.

We are looking forward to temps in the 60's this weekend as well. Yay capris!:cool1:

A few of us have our names in our siggy, especially me, because the only thing that isn't constantly changing in my siggy is my name. :lmao:

you'll eventually start remembering who's whom. If you get confused, just ask for clarification!

Good thing you weren't with us then, we slept in every morning but the last two. Wed. because John was taking pictures for someone and he wanted pictures of the menu boards, and Thurs. because we had an early flight.

Ack! :faint:

Good morning, everyone! We woke up to a light skiff of snow this morning. Kind of depressing after our spring like weather of the last few days. Weatherman says we'll be getting more this afternoon and tomorrow. Deep sigh! I was hoping spring was here to stay.

Nothing big on the agenda for today. I'm letting Timothy sleep in this morning, and then we'll go to Costco a bit later. I will have to get dinner going earlier tonight than usual, as I have book group tonight!!! Yay! My "me time."

Tomorrow I'm bowling (my arm is feeling up to it, now. I did a test run on Tuesday), then helping my SIL decorate for her son's wedding. The ceremony is at 5:30, and the dance party (no reception for them) is from 6-9. Should be a fun day! Hopefully I can kick the cold that has knocked me for a loop! That would make it perfect!

Sounds like a fun day. I hope you're feeling better!

Doing fine! Still no morning sickness (which is wonderful!) but ask me again in 4 weeks when I don't fit into ANY clothes that I packed for vacation.

ETA - well, not 4 weeks. Only 2 until vacation...Crap.

Chanon, that's great!!

I spent the time that the disboards were down (for me) going through an ancient email account...and it's a good and bad thing I did.

Good because Abi's band teacher e-mailed me this morning at that address

Bad because of the reason he was emailing me.....seems Abi tried to forge her dad's signature. :headache:

So we get to meet with the teacher after school today:headache: :headache: :headache:

My kid is so smart but a bonehead too!!

I am so glad to hear that it wasn't Abi.'s

Hi Wendy

Hi Everyone and Thanks so much for the warm welcome!!! I hope to get to know everyone over here.......... I typically only went to the AKL thread - I know a lot of the girls over there, but I really am enjoying being over here!!

Anyway - just to share, I'm the mom of 3 boys, 21,20,9. We've been married for EVER - LOL!!! My DH is a nuclear engineer......... no, it's not as glamorous as it sounds!! ;)
Our two oldest are in the air force and my oldest is married to a wonderful girl. We live right outside of Baton Rouge - YES - we are HUGE LSU fans!!!!! And we love Disney - we just bought DVC at Kidani and I'm so excited about that.
My 9 year old makes me feel young and old at the same time............. LOL
and I guess that's about it...................

I really appreciate everyone being so kind and look forward to seeing you all around here from time to time.

Hi Wendy! I'm Robyn, SAHM mom to Emma~9, Molly~4 and Lucy~ 20 months. Wife to Eric. We live just outside of Baltimore, MD. We love Disney and have been as a family twice (Eric and I were engaged there!). Our 3rd trip is this coming August. You'll love it over here!!! O

You go girl!!:woohoo: :woohoo:

Thanks Steffy!

OMG... I just spit a very good Zinfandel onto myself! :rotfl2:

Blasphemy!! :rotfl:

You have to have one. They are so nice. I washed mine with Downy, so it got rid of the static.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I want one!!
